Until its small body just could not contain any more spirit energy and it exploded sending chunks of green heart and goo all over the place.

Next thing Charm knew she was being flung across the floor.

Somehow the ghoul managed to evade the spirit warriors in the other room.

It was determined to take her out with its dying breath for the damage done to its no longer beating heart.

The other spirit warriors were told not to shoot by Miguel for fear that a stray bullet would do more harm than good. 

With no spirit power left to fight it, the only thing she had was her gun.

She fired a bullet in its skull but it kept trying to strangle her. 

Not giving up she let go with two more bullets, her body spasmed but it still kept squeezing her neck.

Charm squeezed the trigger again but nothing happened. 

She was out of ammunition.
