"What?"

"What Batman means is that he's already prepared for battle; if we plan to go over and eliminate him, then he's just waiting for us."

The atmosphere in the conference room instantly quieted down.

When Superman spoke, he even stuttered a bit, "That's impossible, has Batman really become a vampire?!"

This speculation made everyone even more silent.

It's the same theory as when Batman curses people; the normal Batman doesn't curse, but if you really provoke him and he starts cursing, then with his vast knowledge, how many in the world could out-curse him?

The thing the Primary Universe Batman feared most about Bruce was indeed his three-pronged tirade of curses.

So, if Batman truly became a vampire, could the King of Vampires really control him? Would he really not start his own venture and threaten the vampires led by the King of Vampires?

"Regardless, I'm going to check the security systems again," Green Lantern said, "If he comes, we're not afraid of him."

After he left, there was another long silence. Cyborg laughed coldly and said, "Not afraid of him? Who here is truly not afraid of him?"

Even Superman didn't chime in.

Because this was actually a consensus within the Justice League—Batman needed the Justice League because Batman was just an ordinary person.

If he had the abilities of anyone else in the Justice League, whoever's it might be, he wouldn't need to form an organization to maintain peace on Earth; he could do it all by himself.

And now, he needed the Justice League, not because ordinary people lacked power, but because ordinary people needed to eat, drink, and tend to the basic needs of life, which came at too high a cost, so he needed some reinforcement.

Moreover, Batman's sense of responsibility was stronger than anyone else present; he believed that there was never too much justice.

The founding of the Justice League was more because of Batman's goodness, not his weakness.

But what if Batman was no longer good?

Stepping out of the perspective of the members of the Justice League, one could know that in the Multiverse, most corrupted versions of Batman started with destroying their Individual Universe.

Dark multiverse Batmen like the Drowned Ghost and the Red Death had destroyed the Earths where they resided, and then in the original story, they went on to fight on other Earths; among the corrupted Batmen, their behavior was quite standard.

And then there were scum like the Mad Laugh, that was like the ceiling for corrupted Batmen; wrecking one Individual Universe wasn't enough, he also shat around the Multiverse, and factors like physical condition or superpowers couldn't influence him at all.

From this, it can be seen that the rule of a corrupted person becoming ten times stronger is fully applicable to Batman.

So who wouldn't be afraid?

"I think we should send a communication over and explain ourselves," Martian Manhunter said, "Our intention isn't to doubt Batman, but the presence of a mole is definitely a problem. Without him, we don't have a better way to find this traitor."

"I guess I was a bit impulsive," Cyborg said somewhat despondently, "I just don't understand why he isn't here. We clearly need him, and I haven't heard about any major incidents in Gotham."

"If he really had a grand plan to deal with vampires, he wouldn't let you know," Wonder Woman said, "The fact that he's not responding or coming just shows that he might have a way to deal with it."

"I don't think he would abandon us," Superman said, "Send him another communication and ask him what's going on."

Cyborg nodded and began to think about the wording. This time he had to be more cautious, not to let personal emotions interfere again—it was simply unreasonable.

Wonder Woman gave Superman a look, and the two of them walked out the door. Wonder Woman looked around, and seeing her do this, Superman simply snapped his fingers and said, "Don't worry, no one can see the two of us, not even the surveillance cameras."

"I've always been opposed to the search for a mole right now..."

"I mean, Cyborg isn't the kind of person to act rashly, and he has always respected Batman a lot, perhaps even more than the two of us put together," Wonder Woman said.

"Of course, he's never had any beef with Batman, and he's always able to understand the technology in those strange gadgets of Batman's. They probably really do have more in common. Are you suggesting Cyborg might be the issue?"

Superman started to think. Although most of the time his super brain was not active, he at least had a good memory. He could remember every word that everyone had said earlier.

"It's completely unreasonable, isn't it?" Wonder Woman said, "If Batman really were a vampire, how many of us could still be sitting here all fine and dandy? Just like Cyborg said, who wouldn't be afraid?"

"I'll think about it," Superman said, "No matter who the mole is, as long as they want to sow discord among us they will slip up."

"What I really mean is, the events that just happened prove there definitely is a mole among us, not the absent Batman. He might be a possibility, but he's not among us here, right now, in this place. It's possible there's already a vampire among us!"

Listening to Wonder Woman's serious tone, Superman's heart involuntarily sank. He felt she was making sense.

"Don't be alone," Wonder Woman said, "When he realizes he can't influence Batman, he will definitely need more allies. Never let your guard down."

Superman nodded, thinking that he would tell Martian Manhunter in a while and ask him to alert everyone. But at that moment, he suddenly recalled something and said, "Hasn't Hal been gone for a while now?"

"Seems like it, he said he was going to check the security system... Hurry and find him!"
