On his way, Abe couldn't help but think about what his uncle said about Jemina's father in the car, it was too absurd.
He couldn't think of a valid reason as to why someone would act that way, but some people's reasoning was way past the logical realm.
Abe cleared his mind of the thought pretty fast, whatever was happening between his uncle and Markus was none of his business, and even though most of the things his uncle said were far-fetched, he would always believe his words over that of a stranger.
Abe climbed up the porch to the front door, then he knocked. He had checked with Jemina, with a text message to make sure she was in the house, and she said she was.
When they arrived earlier and he couldn't see Marvin's car, he thought she had left with him, but her reply had cleared his doubts.
After waiting for a minute and not hearing any reply from behind the door, Abe knocked again.
"Coming, just a minute."
This time around Abe heard a reply.
