Distant Cry for Help

"So what was wrong Mystique?"

"There was greater politics at play there... They wanted to use you as a tool to move their society and to mix up the 'game'. I could tell that most of the council members were just looking for ways to slowly antagonise you. The only ones that were serious was the Admiral and that woman off to the side."

I locked eyes with her for a few moments before smiling. She was a very careful woman and I could see why Erik would trust her with being the vice commander of his forces.

"That's fine. I expected it... As long as Admiral Hood is in charge I will have no issues. If he is removed, which is unlikely, I will just overpower them and take control of their Earth."

"Mmm, makes sense. Sorry for worrying you needlessly Mrs President."

"No issue, it is why you came with me."

From there we went back to silence as i sat on the captain's chair. I then began to filter through the sensor data and also see if our systems had hacked into theirs yet. I know it sounds bad but interacting without information and dirt was hard... Especially when it came to the scum that were called politicians. A beep sounded from the holographic display as I realised there was a frequency coming in from a system one hundred light years away. 

"AI, analyse, how long ago was this sent?"

The answer came up soon as a time period of ten hours was put on the display. The transmission was a desperate call for help. The Covenant was invading their planet for the Forerunner artefacts.

"All hands, prepare for Woe Travel."

"Yes mam!"

The crew sprung into action as the other ships in the fleet began to send queries to me. I simply told them that I have somewhere to go real quick and that I'd be back... I also instructed them to delay the talks as much as possible stating a situation back in our home Multiverse.

A minute later we vanished into a controlled wormhole and reappeared in a distant star System with a blue dwarf star. I started a scan of the surrounding planets as some of the bridge staff began to call out measurements for power supply, shield strength etc. The scan came back clear as the ship detected several ships on a planet that orbited a large gas giant. I plotted in a course as the helmsman began to guide us towards that small little green ball of life amidst the darkness of space.

Seconds passed as we got relatively close to the planet, the ships now visible to the naked eye as several ships were lowering onto the planet. The number of Covenant ships was ranging in the tens as the resistance of the planet was all but shattered, the remnants of their sky bastions burning up in the atmosphere.

"Network Operator, please relay a message to the Covenant ships, as follows-" He nodded and tapped several holographic displays in front of him before giving me a thumbs up.

"Covenant vessels, this is the leader of The Veritas Imperium, cease all hostile operations on this planet, at once, otherwise we will be forced to use force." The crew around me started to get prepared to use force as the Covenant forces quickly began to cease their movements towards the planet and turn to face this ship. I rolled my eyes as I could tell what the fuck they were doing.

"All decks, this is the captain speaking, all hands to battle stations. Condition Echo 1." Everyone broke into specific movements as the bridge crew began to quickly ready the new cannon of this vessel. This ship was a prototype and was ultimately untested, and today she would get her first test run.

"Nova Cannon prepared! Ready to fire on your command Captain!"

"Fire." I waved my hand downwards as the entire hull of the Enlightenment; the ship, shuddered and quaked as the front cannon section of the ship opened and accumulated energy.

The shuddering soon stopped as a massive screeching noise echoed through the atmosphere-filled ship. This continued for several moments until a huge energy draining sound resounded and disappeared. Watching the front of the ship, out towards the Covenant, I watched as a stream of dense plasma and neutrinos swam through space and hit the Covenant ships.

It was horrific for me as, with my vision, I saw the ships literally burnt from existence as the force of a neutron star exploding hit them. Aliens shrieked in the brief seconds before the stream took them from life permanently. The stream quickly began to dissipate once it reach a light year, forming a distinct blue cloud that just broiled and sat in the darkness between solar systems.

My crew was super happy as they all celebrated. I didn't want to ruin their enjoyment but I was utterly put off food for now as watching so much life being extinguished by just one shot put my powers in perspective now.

'I could do a lot more than that... I could end a planet, a universe or even a multiverse and all of its untold billions of lifeforms or possibilities.' On the bright side it also reinforced the malevolent nature of my foe, my family's foe. He ended the Marvel Multiverse in his search for me, all of that life. It was horrific.

'Calm down... You gave them a warning and clearly laid down the line, it was them who didn't follow it.' I continued to comfort my own consciousness as my crew members slowly slipped back into work mode and began to report the condition of the ship and the possible fracturs in the hull, it would seem we needed to make our ships from superior materials other than Graphene.
