“We’re talking.”

“Just talking?” He narrowed his eyes as his tone turned mischievous.

“Well…We’ve started dating. But on the down low. Even my friends don’t really know about us.”

After finally receiving a satisfactory answer, Merlin’s grin grew wide. He even gave Joke a smug nod.

“That’s true. Everyone’s going to be shocked when they know this. Queen, the goddess of everyone’s heart, is suddenly snatched away by nobody like you. The headline is going to be huuuuuge.”

And Joke could only laugh sheepishly in response. Meanwhile, the other party was still having the same impish smile on his face.

“But you don’t look surprised at all. It’s the opposite, even. Almost like you already expected this from the start?”

“Don’t underestimate the sense of a sorcerer.” He smirked. “Also, I can kind of understand why Queen agreed to go out with you. It’s something only those who had faced her in the arena before could notice. Don’t forget that I’ve fought both of you already.”
