The excitement of the Quidditch World Cup finals filled the air as Daphne and Rose made their way through the bustling crowds.
The stadium was teeming with wizards and witches from all over the world, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation.
"We've got great seats, Rose!" Daphne exclaimed, Thanks to her uncle's connection she got seats for the tournaments and she ended up even inviting Rose to tag along, who would like to go alone anyway. Thanks to her coming to Griffindor, many of her friends from Slythrin now don't interact with her, traitor they calls her but she hardly cares, she was a Greengrass then her family never put much belief in baseless blood purist theory.
Rose nodded, her own enthusiasm barely contained. She literally was taken away from her Uncle's and Aunt's house, that was one of the most interesting breakouts she had in a while. Daphne just came there out of nowhere and brought her here with a port key. Rose agreed immediately after learning that she was inviting her to the Quidditch finals. She wouldn't miss that for her life.
As they navigated the crowd, they spotted familiar faces. The Weasleys were gathered together, their vibrant red hair making them easy to spot, Rose. Rose waved enthusiastically, and the Weasleys waved back with equal warmth.
However, there was a little awkwardness when it came to both Rose and Ron. They used to be very good friends, at least Ron believed so, but later they just seemed to not talk much often to the point that completely no interaction, not like they didn't want to but it's just that their personalities didn't match much.
"Hello, Rose! Hello, Daphne!" Ginny Weasley called out. To other members of the Weasley family, however, these things didn't matter at all.
"Hi, Ginny! Hi, everyone!" Rose responded, smiling.
Daphne gave a polite nod. "Good to see you all."
As they continued, they ran into Draco Malfoy and his entourage. The air seemed to chill slightly as the two groups crossed paths. Draco smirked at Rose and Daphne. To them, Draco was nothing but a fool, at first they used to be wary of him but now its nothing. Thanks to Orion's training, even without magic they can kick the boy's butt, anytime they like.
Let alone with magic. Orion didn't hold back when teaching them magic, going even into some deep concepts in magic and even going so far as to teach them some ancient magic.
Of course, they wanted to know how he knew all of this but he never said.
But now they had some idea. Ambrosius. They have no idea how they, arguably the only people Orion interacted with the most in the entire school, how the hell they didn't connect this outstanding boy with the man whose name he bore. Both of them were confused at this.
"Look who it is," Draco drawled. "Blood Traitor."
"Malfoy," Rose replied cold, her expression neutral. Daphne's eyes narrowed slightly, but she held her tongue. They didn't want to do anything with Draco and his father, so they just kept on moving. Of course, Draco gloated about the fancy seat he got thanks to all that connection his father had but they didn't care.
Finding their seats, Rose and Daphne settled in, the excitement of the match completely overshadowed what happened before. They also spotted Hermione and Nick a few rows ahead. Hermione's presence with Nick made Rose's stomach churn. She narrowed her eyes but chose to ignore them, focusing on the match instead.
As the game began, the two girls chatted animatedly. "I can't believe Orion didn't send us any letters this year either, seriously, why all boys are like this," Daphne complained, her tone tinged with disappointment and anger.
"I know! It's so frustrating, though I am sure that he had his reasons. Maybe he visit outer space this time." Rose agreed, her voice matching Rose's annoyance but then also laughter thinking about what Orion might really have been doing all this time.
"Honestly, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he even visited another world, let alone outer space."
Their conversation shifted to the incredible Pegasus brooms Orion had designed. "Did you see how many professional players are using them?" Daphne said, pointing out several players on the field.
"Yeah, it's amazing," Rose replied, her admiration evident. "Orion really outdid himself with those, though I heard that he is also charging handsome galleons for those.
If only all those players learn that what they are using is still an inferior quality product than what Orion is really capable of." Rose said after thinking about Orion's own Dark Pagasus and the breathtaking speed it can achieve.
The match was thrilling, with both teams showcasing extraordinary skill and agility. The crowd's cheers and gasps filled the air as the players zoomed across the pitch, performing incredible manoeuvres.
"Honestly, what will he do with all that money? Hell, I won't be surprised if someday Gringott got looted, at I would know who did it." Daphne huff.
When the match finally ended, the crowd erupted in applause. Rose and Daphne, still buzzing with excitement, made their way back to their camp.
As they settled in for the night, a sudden commotion outside caught their attention. They stepped out of their tent to see people running and shouting. Mrs Weasley hurried over, her face pale with fear.
"Girls, you need to get out of here! Death Eaters are attacking the tournament grounds!" she urged, her voice trembling.
Rose and Daphne exchanged horrified looks. They saw the ominous green glow of the Dark Mark in the sky, and panic suddenly overtook them. Though they were stronger than they used to be not have any particular fighting experience made them nervous.
"Come on, we need to move!" Daphne urged, grabbing Rose's arm.
The chaos around them was overwhelming, they saw many familiar faces among around them, running away. People were running in every direction, trying to escape the terror. Rose stumbled, her heart pounding in her chest.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her leg and collapsed to the ground. She looked, only to find a sharp wound on her leg, making it ache as he tried to move. Due to all that crowd, she not only got separated from Daphne and others but even Daphne didn't realise it.
She tried to stand up but her legs were hit well, and pain rang in her at even the thought of moving them. She looked around, to call for someone, anyone to help her but by this time almost most of the people were gone and a few who were running away wouldn't stop her.
And while searching for someone to call for help, She looked up to see a shadowy figure disappearing into the crowd. This particular figure was different. Wasn't running and only upon her looking at it that that person got away.
It looked familiar, the figure was of a girl, at her age and she could tell by the glowing wand that it held that she was the one who attacked her.
She looked at her leg again, though earlier panic she didn't realise but the wound on her leg was not natural, it was a spell which hit her.
Before she even knew it, almost everyone was gone, making her feel a certain chill creeping up to her.
She hurriedly took out her wand in her hand and tried to move to the corner, taking cover at this moment was the most important.
But then suddenly she heard a voice.
"Look what we have here," A death eater suddenly appeared out of nowhere, like especially targeting her and taunting her, her eyes wide and she instantly raised her wand to attack but the death eater was faster, he attacked before Rose made her disarmed.
Soon more Death Eaters came there, making Rose grit her teeth. She couldn't see any of their faces and they were wearing masks covering their entire faces. In fact their entire body was covered with robes.
There were at least 20 death eaters in front of her.
For the first time after getting attacked by all those spiders in her second year, Rose was scared.
The only person she could thing of was the boy who saved her back then.
A death Eater, this particular one had short height, raised her wand towards her. Magic rolled to his wand but unlike the killing curse or the torturing curse, the spell which came out of the wand was not an attack.
Rather she felt magic acting on her leg and slowly in front of her a single drop of blood floated towards the death eater, which he put in a small bottle.
Rose was both surprised and confused.
"Don't kill, that our lords target. But besides that, have fun. But nothing too excessive." said death eaters to others and then he apparited from there, leaving others alone there with Rose who hearing this had eyes widening.
She could swear that she had heard this voice before. But can't remember when.
But this wasn't the time to think all this as others Death eaters raise their wands.
Her eyes again looked horrified. She looked at her wand a little further from her but there was no way that she could reach to that before those Death eaters attack her.
She couldn't do anything.
But then she realized that the death eaters were not attacking her for some reason.
She turn back to them only to see they looking behind her...
