Orion stood calmly, his gaze unwavering as he faced Kayneth Archibald. The air was thick with tension as Orion just outright crushed all of Kayneth's plans on convincing him got let him keep the grail, I mean honestly, what is that man thinking?
The moon cast an eerie glow over the church. Kayneth, with a confident smirk, began his assault, weaving intricate spells with his hands. It was clear to him that talking could no longer can solve this problem. He didn't want to go against Orion if that wasn't absolutely important, what Orion did in the port was evident to everyone. He wasn't alone who felt like this.
But for the grail, Orion D. Ambrosius was his worst enemy. So the fight was inevitable.
"Let's see how you handle this!" Kayneth shouted, launching a barrage of magical projectiles toward Orion.
Orion didn't flinch. He simply raised his hand, activating his Infinity. The spells slowed to a halt before they could reach him, hanging in mid-air as if hitting an invisible barrier.
Kayneth's eyes widened in disbelief. "What is this sorcery?"
Orion smirked. "It's called Infinity. Your attacks will never touch me."
Frustrated but undeterred, Kayneth summoned his prized weapon, Volumen Hydrargyrum, a liquid metal mercury familiar that could both attack and defend. The mercury which was hiding right above Orion to sneak attack him surged forward, attempting to ensnare Orion in its lethal grasp. The metal tendrils moved with blinding speed, aiming to pierce through Orion's defences.
But as the mercury neared Orion, it too slowed to a stop, unable to breach the Infinity barrier. Orion watched calmly, his eyes never leaving Kayneth's. He could see the growing frustration on the mage's face.
"You think you're invincible?" Kayneth snarled, his voice trembling with both helplessness and anger. "Let's see you handle this!" He poured more magical energy into the mercury, trying to overwhelm Orion's defences.
Orion remained unfazed. With a flick of his wrist, he deflected the mercury tendrils away, sending them crashing harmlessly to the ground. He took a step forward, his presence imposing.
Kayneth, desperate, conjured a massive fireball, hurling it with all his might. The inferno roared as it barreled towards Orion, lighting up the night. But it too met the same fate, stopping inches from Orion's face, the heat dissipating harmlessly.
"Let's end this, okay, I really don't have time to waste here like this," Orion said, his voice steady.
"RED"
A red ball of light appears on his finger, making Kayneth remember what that ball did to Berserker. His eyes widen as he immediately recalls the mercury or summons to Lancer to protect himself.
Too bad for him. Orion was faster. He didn't even have someone to call Lancer. He was wary of doing that in the first place considering bringing Lancer here meant there wouldn't be anyone to stop the other servants from coming after him.
.
.
.
"Hmm, that silver Mercury thing is quite interesting. Let's take it. Maybe I can recreate something similar in future. That would be dope." Orion pondered as he took the mercy remains and stored it away for later study purposes. For good measure, he even went ahead and looked into Kayneth's memories. He didn't kill in exchange for getting to look into his magic.
After that, he was reaching for the Lesser Grail when he sensed another presence. He turned to see Kiritsugu Emiya, gun raised, finger on the trigger.
Without hesitation, Kiritsugu fired. The bullet whizzed towards Orion, but he was already in motion. Utilizing Force Speed, Orion moved faster than the eye could follow, sidestepping the bullet with ease.
Kiritsugu's eyes widened in surprise, it was the same kind of magical technique as he used, but he quickly composed himself, firing a rapid series of shots. Orion dodged each one, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye.
'how the hell he wake up? That potion should have put him in bed for at least a month ?' Orion pondered but just let the matter go, it doesn't matter at this point.
Emiya himself at this time knew that he was no match for Orion, he had gotten all the information about Orion from Saber, and he knew just how powerful of a mage Orion was. His only chance to win is to either bring Saber here, but that will also bring Lancer here with Saber. Not good.
Secondly, sooner or later Gilgamesh will also show up.
If only he knew...
"Come on, I really don't have time for this," Orion taunted, his voice calm and steady.
Kiritsugu switched tactics, pulling out his special gun loaded with original bullets. He fired, aiming for Orion's heart. Orion's reflexes kicked in, it was maybe his magic which repulsed at the sight of that bullet or his spider senses but he acted and once again he caught the bullet mid-air, Maki style in almost point-blank range, making Emiya curse internally, inspecting it briefly before pocketing it.
'Just in case, I rather know why I feel bad upon coming in contact with this bullet.'
"Interesting," Orion mused. "I'll study this later."
Kiritsugu's frustration was palpable. He holstered his gun and was prepared to use his seal to call for Saber, there wasn't any more choice left with him, but Orion was already upon him. Using his enhanced speed and physical prowess, Orion landed a series of powerful blows, each one precise and calculated.
Making Emiya back off and can't even use his Command seals.
Kiritsugu tried to counter, but Orion was too fast. A punch to the gut, an elbow to the jaw, and a kick to the chest sent Kiritsugu sprawling. Orion didn't let up, delivering a final, powerful strike that knocked Kiritsugu to the ground, gasping for breath.
"Stupify," Orion said, standing over the fallen Kiritsugu. "Let's just end this already okay."
Emiya was out by this much. Making Orion finally sigh in relief.
Orion turned back to the Lesser Grail, ready to claim it. With both Kayneth and Kiritsugu defeated, nothing stood in his way. He was a little worried about both Saber and Lancer showing up but the fact that he didn't means they are most likely at each other throats by this point.
Another thing he was worried about was Merlin and Gilgamesh. But again, this was Merlin he was talking about, if nothing he can at least hold back Gilgamesh until he asks for his wish.
So with nothing holding him back, he reached out. The Grail was within his grasp.
.
.
.
Orion found himself suddenly standing in a forest. He remembers this forest, it's the place where it all began, he used to live here with Red. 'Those were simple times'
"Welcome...
Orion heard this and snapped his head in the direction of the voice.
"To the matrix."
"Keanu Reeves." Orion sputtered out when he saw the man sitting on a chair which looked very much out of the place in the forest.
But that wasn't the big deal. The man who was sitting on the chair was none other than Keanu Freaking Reeves. Or at least a man who looks like him.
"Hmm No exactly, I look like Keanu Reeves, only because you are a fan," said Keanu who wasn't Keanu ???
"So who are you ?" Orion asked with a little confusion in his tone.
"Hmm, you can call me the lesser grail or the holy grail or whatever you like. Ultimately it doesn't matter what you call me. It's not like this is Matrix either, I was just role-playing.
What matters is what you want. This is your chance to ask for a wish. Anything you like ?" Asked Keanu.
"Oh..."
"Well, I want to go back home."
"Hmm, well you can certainly do that, though doing that will not be that hard even without Gail's help. After all, the only thing which was holding you back here was the Gail. But once you ask for a wish, the Command seal on you will disappear, allowing you to travel back to your world." Keanu said with a smile.
"OH, that's convenient... So I can go back as long as I ask for a wish, it doesn't have to be specific to send me back." Orion asked again.
"Yeah."
'God that 'Yeah' was exactly like John Wick. Awesome...'
"Okay, then hmmm" Orion thought about something that he wanted and finally asked.
"I want to master all three major laws. That is my wish."
"Okay, then how you like to do that ?" Keanu asked.
Making Orion confused.
"What do you mean how ?"
"My friend, you dont understand the nature of this grail do you ?"
Hearing those words, Orion had a very big suspicion that a bullshit moment was waiting for him.
"No, please do tell," Orion asked with a face devote of any emotions.
"The grail, as you know can grant you any wish. The only catch is that you yourself should know how that wish should be fulfilled.
In simple terms. Let's say you want Iron Man armour, if so then you can have it for sure, but you need to know and explain to the Grail how it's built. Only then the grail can give that to you."
'Ah, there it is, the big ass middle finger from the heavens itself. You want something for free, go fuck yourself.'
"Great. So now I have to explain how I am gonna learn all those things. If I knew then I would have done it myself, you." Orion is chidden with frustration.
"Oh, I am sure you would have. In fact, many could. It is just they think that the grail is a magical solution to all their problem. Which honestly it's not.
Sigh.
Only if they understood that grail is just a source of energy. It just provides magic for their wish to come true. But how to use that magic is on them ultimately." Keanu said with a sigh.
Making even Orion nod in understanding.
...
...
"WAIT A MINUTE, DID YOU SAY IT PROVIDE MAGIC?
LIKE UNLIMITED MAGIC !!!"
Orion almost shouted.
"YEAH." Keanu again said with his John Wick style.
