Chapter 155 : Dementor 3 (Bonus Chapter)

That one attack infused with Ancient Light magic was more than enough to scare off all the other dementors. That bright red light might look very beautiful for others but in the eyes of the dementor, it was nothing less than poison not thanks to its holy light nature. 

This was after all the first time someone has killed a dementor. This news soon going to make headlines. This and what Orion was able to do to the train. Well if Orion let it spread that is.

Unaware of what he has done, and the upcoming trouble he would be facing. Orion currently was more concerned about the train itself.

Quickly stepping up ahead at the edge of the destroyed coach wall, he noticed that he actually ended up hitting an iron pillar which held up the structural rigidity of the bridge. 

'Damn, I almost made the entire train fall to the river below.' Orion sighs, his earlier confidence fading out. 

"Reparo Maxima," 

Orion after a nervous face immediately turned into a focused and confident one again and with his only magically capable hand extended, he shouted.

(Reparo is a fixing spell which can repair anything as long as the caster has enough magical power or knowledge about what he is repairing if the said item is too complex.)

(Maxima is an amplifier, it is used to overcharge the magical power of a spell and improve its power.)

By the time Orion spelt out, great magical fluctuation took place as the broken and shattered pieces of the half-destroyed coach started to float back and reattach to the coach. Everyone in the coach saw the magical sight in awe. 

But that wasn't the hard part, the real target of Orion's magic was not the train itself but the bridge. He in fact overloads his magic just to make sure that if there is a chance of the bridge has remaining damaged then it will be fixed. 

After making sure that everything got repaired and there was not structural damage to the bridge, he finally let out a relieved sigh and turned around to go back and nap again.

Only for him to face three amazed faces. 

"Woh, how did you do that ?" 

"Oh Merlin, Orion did you just kill a Dementor," 

"..."

Both Rose and Daphne were staring at Orion like he had grown another head while Professor Lupin was pale at what just Orion had done.

Being a DADA professor means he knows that Orion just killed a being which can only be safe safeguard against and never be killed. 

Not to mention, Orion repairs the Hogwarts Express. It would be a big deal if it was a normal train but Hogwarts Express is no normal train. 

Both Destroying a Coach and repairing it would require a high degree of offensive power and keen knowledge of magic.

For a second, Lupin looked at the boy in front of him with hot eyes, like he saw an alien. He has heard about this genius before. It was none other than Orion D. Ambrosius. Who else he could be if not the boy who is making more headlines than the girl who survives herself?

Knowing what they were thinking, Orion immediately took action before they attracted any more attention than needed. 

With a simple wave of his hand, the sound which should have come out of their mouth never left. It was like the sound didn't exist for those few seconds. 

[2 out of 10 for that unnecessarily overpowered attack. You could have just manifested a dagger or something with Patronus by moulding the magic with space and stabbing the dementor. Only giving you 2 just so because that attack was pretty cool and strong, not to mention you pulled off a Law Combination magic. Many mistakes in that too though seeing how much damage you did to the coach. It was not focused at all.

3 out of 10 for that Reparo, first you didn't have to use Maxima even if you were worried about the bridge but the damage was not anywhere near enough for you to waste that much magic. Having more magical power doesn't mean that you forsake efficiency. ] Merlin spoke after analysing Orion's performance. 

Orion at this just had twitching eyes but he didn't react more to that. 

For the last 2 years when he was in Hogwarts, although did learn much from Merlin but that was not even an introduction to what he learned from the chibi mage flying around him and grading his performance in the last 3 years. 

The Teaching with Merlin for the last 3 years was nothing like learning in Hogwarts. It was more complex and skill-based. 

Finally, after somewhat solving his magical power issue, Merlin immediately put Orion into real arcane. Today's Orion is not a one-trick pony anymore. 

But this development only came because of Merlin's strict teaching. He was quite hard on Orion. Setting up unimaginary goals for Orion to achieve. 

To this date, Orion hasn't gotten more than 6 in anything in Merlin's evaluation. Irritating him to no hell.

Orion calms himself down and looks at the mute people freaking out at the loss of there voice. With a sigh, he removed his magic which was blocking their voice and before they said anything, he spoke. 

"Not here, ask any question you have in Hogwarts," Orion said and without wasting any time returned to his seat and again went back to his napping.

Others were stunned at the strange event but saw how Orion was already asleep. With helpless looks on their faces, both Rose and Daphne just made a mental note to ask about what happened to him later on.

Although after making so much noise, there was just no way others wouldn't learn what Orion did at least thanks to just students being there, no one directly asked Orion about him killing a dementor or destroying an entire section of a coach. 

Only after the train stopped again that Orion woke up. There was still a lingering trace of tirelessness on his face, it was clear that he was highly sleep-deprived but all those shot naps up to this point really helped him out.

[I told you not to be overworked] Merlin pointed out. Irritating Orion further. Dont you know that even though you were right, saying I told you... is a conversation killer. 

Getting out of the train, he realized that he was the only one who didn't change into his robes. 

A little wave of his hand was enough to transform his clothes into the school robes for the night. 

"Orion how..." 

Rose was about to ask the moment she saw Orion coming out of the train but he just shushed her. 

"Later...Later okay.

I will explain what I did and how but not right now. Right now I am just too hungry and sleepy for this," Orion waved his hands to stop Rose and Daphne to save himself from their onslaught of questions. 

Knowing that they were not gonna get anything from Orion, they just sighed and went to get a ride to Hogwarts.

They got up on a carriage driven by magic, but Orion knew better. All three of them Rose, Orion and Daphne were someone who saw death in their life. So they could see the creature pulling the carriage. 

Unfortunately for them, none of them knew what kind of magical creature it was and unlike the movies, there wasn't a cute loli there to explain the highly mistaken creature in this magical world.

'What are they called again,' Orion asked the all-knowing Jesus who was flying around him, puffing on his mini pipe in his chibi form.

[Ah, Thestral. Quite a noble creatures they are but unfortunately their appearance and past history of appearing where dead exist, made the wizarding populace avoid them.] Merlin puffed on his pipe and said with reminiscence on his face. 

"Ah, yes Thestrals." Orion nodded after finally remembering the name. 

The elder wand's core was created by one of their tails. The same wand which destroyed his left hand's magical circuits. 

He wanted to study their magic in his free time, maybe he could find a way to heal those severed magical circuits as well.

 Once again a new year will start slow just like usual. So don't expect too much right of the bat but the story will accelerate as times goes. 

In Orion too many character chances wil be seen but only when time is right, otherwise he might come off as the same idiot.
