Golden Library, quasi tier 8(chapter 107)

Chapter 107

Inside Henry's apartment, Henry could be seen sweating as he lay on the floor of his hideout, which was now mostly empty as he thought, "Finally, the final piece is complete," as above his head was a large sphere composed of 100 cubes. These hundred cubes were all made out of alchum metal mixed with the essence of the mind stone, and all 100 of them were given functions. "After month after months of hard work, it's finally complete, and it's not just a tier 7, it's past that," he laughed madly, nearly surprising Terry, who snapped at his peak, but Henry ignored him as he got up. "Truly, it's worth using nearly most of my mind stone essence on it," he smiled as he looked at the status panel of the highest tiered item he had created, ever.

[ Name: Golden Library ]

[ Grade: Quasi 8th ]

[ Effects: 10 cubes were given the function to store data in any form, ensuring a robust and redundant backup system. 10 cubes were given the function to protect data from intrusion of any kind. 10 cubes were given the function to sort data into categories, utilizing intelligent algorithms for efficient organization. 10 cubes were given the function to project data customized for each user, generating personalized interfaces and displays. 10 cubes were given the function to absorb new data through a seamless integration process, allowing for real-time updates. 10 cubes were given the function to move data within the system, optimizing pathways for fast access. 10 cubes were given the function to project the data into a hologram. 10 cubes were given the function to optimize data storage, using compression techniques to maximize capacity. 10 cubes were given the function to enhance data retrieval speed with predictive caching. 10 cubes were given the function to regulate data access, managing permissions and user authentication, making it invisible to others and can form miniature spheres which are connected to the main sphere and float around. ]

[ Deterioration-Rate: 0% ]

Yes, the Golden Library, which Henry worked on for months after months, missing a lot of events, and boy, was it worthy, because this was the finished product, his first creation that pushed past tier 7, and this was knowing that the tiers only ended in 9, the peak of the system, so he was getting quite close, and this was all possible because he had leveled his potion synthesis skill and the fact that he had used a tier 7 material a lot, as well as several luck potions.

[ Name: Henry ]

[ Mana: 100% (1 mana lasts for 1 minute, 1 mana can be recovered every 1 minute) ]

[ Class: Alchemy: lv.5 (99.0%) ]

[ Skills:

Potion-synthesis: you can synthesize two plants/materials by melting them together using mana, as long as the materials do not possess two opposing qualities. 50% chance of getting a 6th-grade potion, 20% chance of getting a 7th-grade potion, and 0.1% chance of getting an 8th-grade potion. tier: 9 (0.1%) ]

Alchemical-Weapon: you can combine two or more materials to create a weapon which, depending on the materials used, would have different effects as long as you know how the weapon works. cooldown: 1 hour 40 minutes, tier: 6 (94.0%) ]

State-Of-Matter: you can permanently change the state of matter on the materials you create/synthesize, allowing you to turn solids into liquids and liquids into gas with a 20% chance of failure. tier: 6 (98%) ]

Essence Extraction: extract the essence of matter, living beings, objects, or natural phenomena, capturing their unique qualities in liquid form. However, there's a 25% chance of failure, which may result in the loss of essence and the source. Tier: 5 (92.3%) ]

Functions: you can assign a single inanimate object a single function as long as supplementary materials that are related to the function are also provided. There is a 55% chance of failure, which will result in the destruction of both the item and the supplementary material. cooldown: 7 minutes, tier: 4 (81%) ]

The Golden Library was more than just a library. Not only did it store data of any kind, but it also organized that data, protected that data, and could project data into holograms. It could optimize data storage and usage, plus it's only linked to him, so only he can grant options. But most importantly, it can generate a smaller version of itself, which the people that Henry grants options to could use. As he looked at the Golden Library lovingly like it was his own child, Henry suddenly was overcome with the urge that something wrong was about to happen as he thought, "Maybe it's because of the fact that the future visions were suddenly blocked, which means that an infinity stone is involved or possible something WORSE, but I do know that it's connected to 177A Bleecker Street, Nepal and sorcerers, so I should start from there." He smiled as he waved towards the sphere, which made it disappear. "God, it's quite convenient having a mobile," he smiled as he got a notification from Kai about a possible sorcerer sighting.

-scene change-

In the temple, the bell rang, resonating through the dimly lit space. As people meandered out of the library, the librarian meticulously placed a book on a shelf. The leader of a group, draped in a hooded cloak, strolled in with a commanding presence, drawing the librarian's attention. His two followers glided past, their movements fluid and menacing. Two more followers raised their wands, casting spells that ensnared the librarian's arms, rendering them immobile, while the remaining pair used their magic to bind his legs, lifting him helplessly into the air. The librarian grimaced in agony as a jug was positioned beneath his head. The leader approached, removing his hood to reveal a stern, resolute face. He positioned his hands on his back, drawing out a pair of gleaming blades. With a precise, practiced motion, he severed the librarian's head, which fell with a sickening thud into the jug. The leader then snatched the book that had been placed by the librarian, rifled through it to find a specific page, and ripped it out, discarding the book carelessly.

A/N: I really need to stop posting three chapters at a time; it's chipping away at my stockpile, which I need to keep you guys updated daily. Tomorrow, I will be undergoing my second hand surgery, which means I won't be able to write for an entire month. Fuck. Anyway, wish me luck. This will be the last update for now, as Henry will not care about future vision from here on out. Trust me, there will be a good reason for it.

P.S.: A quasi-tier 8 has appeared, which means that a tier 8 won't be far behind. As for tier nine, the only tier 9 potion will mark the end of all projects. Hint: it's related to his spiritual animal.
