What the hell are these cosmic singularities doing in the basement of HYDRA?(chapter 83)

prevously in chapter 82

Inside the base, the narrow, dimly lit corridors presented a new challenge. Security checkpoints were frequent, each manned by HYDRA personnel. Henry used his agility and the shadows to bypass the biometric scanners and security cameras, remaining undetected. The cold, utilitarian environment with bare concrete and metal walls did little to distract him from his mission.

In the deeper sections of the facility, Henry encountered laboratories and storage areas filled with advanced scientific equipment and experimental devices. He placed one of his information extractors on a computer terminal, downloading valuable data as he continued his stealthy journey.

Chapter 83

Finally, he reached the main chamber where the critical operations were conducted. The room was filled with scientists and high-ranking HYDRA officers, frantically working to defend the base against the Avengers' assault. Henry moved swiftly, avoiding the automated turrets and hidden panels designed to deploy additional security forces.

Navigating through the interior with calculated precision, Henry arrived at a lab. Inside, he saw two people—the targets of his mission. Wanda Maximoff, with her auburn hair and pale skin, sat alongside her brother Pietro, who had dirty blond hair. Henry stood in front of them, taking out his reality gem. The sight of the gem caught Wanda's attention, and she began to stand up.

With a slight smile, Henry slowed down time. To him, Wanda's movements appeared sluggish, as if she were moving through molasses. Using the matter transmutation ability of the gem, he transformed the reinforced glass separating them into water and passed through effortlessly.

Approaching Wanda, he extracted several vials of her blood. She tried to react, but the slowed time rendered her efforts futile. Moving to Pietro, Henry faced a different challenge. Pietro's natural speed was slowed to that of a normal human, making him inferior to Henry. "Who the hell are you?" Pietro asked, but Henry didn't answer. He simply walked towards him, easily knocking him out and extracting his blood.

"Well, this is the two Maximoff blood taken care of. It's time to take care of the Avengers," he said to himself. With a final look at the lab, he saw something. "Isn't that Loki's scepter? That is weird, I didn't see that in my vision," he thought as he approached the scepter. He looked at it for a second before seeing the hologram that HYDRA had. "Another infinite source of power," he mused as he used his essence extraction skill, and much to his amazement, it was infinite. So he continued to extract and extract until 98 minutes passed. Of course, while he was extracting, he made sure that everyone was under the illusion that everything was fine.

At the 98th minute mark, he stopped and looked at the essence he had gathered, which made him frown, not because he was disappointed, but because what he had extracted was another infinity stone. "Shit," he couldn't help but curse as he looked at the status window of the essence he had extracted.

"What the hell are these cosmic singularities doing in the basement of HYDRA?" he asked himself as he couldn't remember why. So he popped a limitless pill, which made him remember. "Right, the Mind Stone was housed in the scepter and would be taken by the Avengers. It also leads to the creation of Vision." Recalling the information, Henry pondered for a minute as suddenly, the scepter released a violent pulse of energy similar to the one that the Reality Stone released when Henry extracted essence from it, which forced him to teleport to his hideout. "These stones are sentient, which explains why they don't like me it at all, but given how painful the essence extraction skill is, I don't blame them." With another infinity stone, or piece of it, in his hand, he had to rethink everything.

"How many stones are there?" he asked himself, but since he was still on the limitless pill, he could recall nearly all of the information from the vision he had. But there was nothing about other infinity stones aside from the Aether. "Hopefully, they are not immune to being spied on from the future," he sighed as he got to work, planning and altering already existing plans. "Well, I still want to be a god, and in order to be a god, I need to first be immortal, which I can finally put aside temporarily. This leaves the other part of being a god, which is strength—not raw strength, but the strength to do whatever I want, no matter who I am against. And with the upcoming Hulk and Thor's blood, I should make some progress in that area," he thought to himself as he saw a notification from Kai.

"No, put Project Crow aside for a second. I need to figure out the best use for the Mind Stone essence," he said to Kai as he started to brainstorm on what to do with the Mind Stone essence. The best option he had would be to put it towards the Perfect Body Project, which was aimed at creating or further pushing Henry's body towards perfection, meaning unparalleled intellect, strength, agility, and durability, including enhanced senses. Putting this aside for now, Henry finally turned his attention to what was happening inside his lab where 11 people were being held. Four of them were no longer there: two men, one woman, and the child. The child was a success, so he was sent to a location close to the after, to be picked up by Gordon or any other Inhuman.

The two women and one man were dead, all because of experiments that Henry conducted. He had finally succeeded in wiping out their sense of self, meaning that they were blank slates. But that is not what killed them. No, what killed them was the Rapid Mutation Elixir that Henry fed to them. He didn't feed them the same Rapid Mutation Elixir. No, he tailored each mutation potion to a specific element. Some were lightning, some were fire, others were water or psionic. The reason why he did this was that he hoped these subjects would develop powers. Unfortunately, only seven of them survived consuming the potion, and those who survived had developed powers.

After Henry put aside the essence extracted from the Mind Stone, he teleported to the lab, where he arrived in front of the first subject who had a label that read Crow 1. The subject was a man in his early twenties, and surrounding him was a forcefield that flickered in and out. Henry then looked down at his note about Crow 1's powers, which allowed Crow 1 to generate forcefields that could withstand bullets, rifle bullets, and other powers. The forcefield was controlled by the mind, and breaking the forcefield could damage his mind. Further testing was needed.

A/N: To be honest, I kind of forgot that the Mind Stone was down there first. I thought it was in the custody of the Avengers, which is why I had a whole scenario of him extracting it while the Avengers partied. However, when I was watching Age of Ultron again, I saw it and realized I had to change a lot of things.

P.S.: The Crows are going to be Henry's task force for a while, until the junkyard. if you catch my drift.
