Raiding the fridge(chapter 56)

prevouily in chapter 55

During the time when he was giving this cloak a function, he used the Shadowmeld Potion, which had a better effect than using actual shadow essence as a supplementary material. "This should be fine. Now it's time to raid the fridge." The fridge, as Henry found out, was a secret location in an undisclosed location that SHIELD built to imprison dangerous criminals and tuck away dangerous technology. One of those technologies was something Henry wanted: gravitonium. "Although I still have the anti-gravity engine from the Chitauri army, getting this gravitonium should actually help speed up several of my projects," he thought to himself as he put on his new, not-so-protective costume. "I still can't believe gravitonium actually exists. Maybe I should give a compass a function that searches for desired materials," he thought to himself, but just thinking about the supplementary materials it would require had him sighing.

Chapter 56

In the middle of the night, on an unknown beach, a tall, blue, glistening tower stood stark against the moonlit sky. The structure, known only to a few as "The Fridge," was a S.H.I.E.L.D. detainment and storage facility, its 100-story height accessible only through the roof. Shadows danced on the sand, and the sound of crashing waves mingled with the distant echoes of chaos within the tower.

Walking in the shadows, a figure clad in dark clothes, a dark cloak, and a Yin-Yang mask moved silently towards the tower. Henry, under his mask thought to himself, "Looks like I was late, as long as everything isn't drained, then it should be fine" he though, not panicking or agitated, he was calm, like everything was under his control, and it was.

He reached the base of the tower and began his ascent, moving with an eerie grace and speed. Upon reaching the top, he saw the entrance door blown open, smoke still curling from the twisted metal. Stepping inside, he was met with the sight of dead S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, their bodies scattered across the floor.

Descending floor by floor, he found more bodies, each one a statement to the brutal efficiency of Hydra's assault. As he moved, the silence was broken only by the occasional distant gunshot or muffled scream. Finally, he encountered the first Hydra agents, their tactical gear and automatic weapons gleaming dully in the dim light.

Without bothering to use his fire ability, Henry relied on his enhanced body to move. The first agent saw a blur before he was sent crashing into the wall, his weapon clattering uselessly to the ground. The second and third agents were dispatched with swift, powerful strikes, their attempts to fight back ending in broken limbs and unconsciousness, even death.

As he continued his methodical sweep, Henry came across a storage room guarded by fifteen Hydra agents. He moved with a predator's precision, taking out the first two guards with a quick series of strikes to their necks, rendering them unconscious before they could react, before he finished of, he was not letting anyone live. The third agent managed to fire a burst from his weapon, but Henry dodged effortlessly, closing the distance and disarming him with a single, fluid motion, before punching the top of his skull.

The fourth and fifth agents tried to flank him, but Henry spun, kicking one in the chest and sending him crashing into the other, their heads colliding with a sickening thud. He grabbed the sixth agent by the throat, lifting him off the ground and throwing him into a group of three others, knocking them down like bowling pins, before he finished them of.

Henry then faced the remaining six agents. One lunged at him with a knife, but Henry sidestepped, grabbing the attacker's arm and twisting it until a loud snap echoed through the room before taking the knife. Using the fallen agent as a shield, he charged the remaining five, who hesitated for a crucial moment. He threw the knife at one, hitting him in the leg, then used a series of rapid strikes to incapacitate the others, finishing with a powerful kick that sent the last agent crashing into the storage crates, with a sunken chest.

As Henry caught his breath, he felt a dangerous presence and instinctively sidestepped, narrowly avoiding a large blue beam that seared the air where he had stood. He turned to see an older man, whom he recognized immediately as Agent Garrett.

"Well, hello stranger," Garrett greeted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Henry chuckled, "Hello, Agent Garrett, or should I call you the Clairvoyant?" as he walked towards Garrett.

"Ah ah, don't move a muscle," Garrett warned, raising his weapon.

Henry stopped, a playful glint in his eyes under his mask. "You went through my men quickly and efficiently. Why don't you tell us who you are?"

In an instant, Henry speed-blitzed Garrett, disarming him before he could react. "Ah, this is quite something," Henry mused, examining the gun.

Garrett, scrambling back, pulled out another weapon, but Henry backhanded him, causing him to fall to the ground. "You know, I admire you, especially your shocking reveal to Coulson's team, the look on their eyes, especially Coulson's, it was something," he said with irony, which visibly shocked Garrett.

"Now, former Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., you don't happen to have my gravitonium, would you—" Henry's sentence was cut short as he was shot. The bullet didn't even pierce his armor, which was resistant to piercing damage. He eyed the shooter, surprised to see Grant Ward.

"Ward, not you too. You're going to break little Skye's heart, and May's, although i feel like may is going to nail your leg through a floor" Henry said, his tone becoming playful. Ward shot again, but Henry dodged, then quickly Spartan-kicked Ward, sending him flying before he could even see him, although with less force, he didn't want to kill ward, not when he planned so much for him.

"Now then, where was I? Yes, Ward being a Hydra agent certainly makes things interesting," Henry said.

Garrett chuckled, "What, i thought you knew everything"

Henry chuckled back, a fake one this time. "No, that's your shtick.but you can Call me the… Equaliser," he said, coming up with the name on the spot.

"Wow, what's next, do you have a mom named Ling?" Garrett mocked.

"Hey, that's racist, and no i dont have a mom named Ling and no, I didn't learn the jumping crane from my Uncle Chen nor was I doing the tai chi movement or going OM OM" Henry replied, earning a scoff from Garrett. He watched as Ward tried to get up, glaring at him, probably calculating his next move.

"Don't worry, I hate spoilers, that word gives me the ich, anyways, I just want to see the look on their faces when you finally tell the truth," Henry chuckled as he walked past Garrett and Ward, not even paying them attention. He arrived at a hole created by the strange weapon Henry had taken from Garrett. "Hello, baby," Henry chuckled as he took the gravitonium before teleporting out of the facility with everything he could, yes he did so as Garrett and Ward watched, what could they do?, attack him.

A/N Another chapter, hope you guys like it. It's quite a hassle trying to write a smart character (or a character who is beginning to get smart) without being a genius myself (motherfuckers had me watching YouTube tutorials on how to write a genius). But I have powers that most authors do: I control the scene, I control the story, the plot, so I just have to figure out the best way to use them to create the outcome I want.

ALSO, THE HUNTER FOR THIS FANFIC IS ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST NOTORIOUS VILLAINS. TAKE A GUESS. For those who didn't read my "Marvel: With the Option System" (which I didn't drop, it's at the end, all that is left is for Goldie to scoop him up), the hunters are basically the final bosses of my fanfics, and every fanfic has one, so yeah, this one does too.
