Danger

As they were enjoying the roasted Magikarp, Jin was looking at his map when he noticed that a trio of Pokémon were rapidly approaching their location.

With a sense of danger Jin quickly got up and picked up Pidgey running the opposite way.

Pidgey, confused at Jin picking him up and leaving the leftover roasted Magikarp, couldn't help but resist, as it didn't want to leave the food behind.

However, within seconds from the bushes near the campfire rustled before revealing two Arboks and an Ekans.

As they quickly looked at the left over, before spotting them running away.

They quickly ignored the lefts over and gave chase to the bigger prey.

"Pid, Pidgey!!"

Pidgey no longer resisted, and instead encouraged Jin to run even faster, as it saw the trio give chase.

As the Pokémon came from the direction of town, Jin had no choice but to head deeper into the forest hoping to lose them so he could double back.

The trio were rapidly gaining on them.

They launched poison stings one after another, luckily missing Jin.

However, a poison sting startled Jin as it landed right on the tree to his right.

Causing him to quickly pass through a dense thicket of bushes on his left.

As he made his way through he tripped due to a downward slope causing him to roll down a hill bump into something causing it to yelp,

Turning to see the Pokémon he bumped over Jin recognized at a glance, a Teddiursa.

However as he rose he saw not just one Teddiursa but a whole group of them.

They all looked at him with curiosity.

As they looked at each other Jin felt the wind brush against his cheek as a poison sting hit the Teddiursa in front of him causing it to scream in pain.

Shocked momentarily Jin turned only to see a purple tail slip into the dense thicket.

Jin glanced at Teddiursa as he saw it turn into a shade of purple, causing him to panic as there was no way a group of Teddiursa were by themselves.

Sensing the ground tremble and roars coming from the forest to the left of him, left him no choice but to run.

He could hear furious roars behind him as trees collapsed.

Jin couldn't help but internally scream, 'It's not my fault Arbok attacked your child!'

Jin was starting to tire but with the trembling ground new he couldn't stop now.

Jin kept running until he realized he made it to the base of the mountain as climbing would probably put him at a disadvantage so he quickly ran along the base of it.

However, he regretted it as a rock was launched just a foot from where he was causing him to glance behind him.

There he saw furious Ursarings grabbing rocks before launching them.

He suffered collateral damage as the rock may have not hit him but broke into pieces as some managed to hit him.

Just as Jin was about to give up, Jin saw a small hole along the mountain that was just big enough for him.

Not bothering to think if the hole was the home to a Pokémon.

Jin took his chance as he quickly crawled into the hole as Pidgey walked by himself just fine as it was more than height for Pidgey to walk fine.

Just as Jin thought they were safe, the Ursarings thought otherwise as they started to claw at the entrance.

Jin and Pidgey continued deeper into the hole as it started to grow more in size the deeper they went.

They continued until they no longer felt the vibrations.

They were stuck with no light, luckily Jin didn't need light to look at the map.

The map changed from the overview into a sublayer showing the cave he went into.

Fortunately it showed him the entrance of the cave showing that the Ursarings were still there as there were five icons at the entrance of the cave.

Leaving him no choice but to stay within the cave.

Due to his ability Jin could see that the cave would grow more in the front but if they continued to follow the path they would be descending deeper underground.

Though there didn't seem to be any Pokémon nearby.

"Pidgey there doesn't seem to be any Pokémon nearby but if we head deeper hoping to find an exit we might come across some. What do you think we should do?"

"Pid…. GEY!"

As Jin couldn't see Pidgey he couldn't use facial reaction to determine Pidgey's thought, so he reword his words, "Pidgey if we should go deeper respond if we should just wait out the Ursaring, stay silent."

"PidgEy!"

"You want to explore? Very well then but we have to be careful as we're in the darkness and can't see."

"Pidg?"

Hearing a confused tone Jin couldn't help but ask, "Don't tell me you can see? Respond if you can stay silent if you can't"

"Pid, Pid" 'Of course I can see,'

"Very well you'll have to help me as I can't see but I have my ways to get around."

"Pidg" hearing the affirmative tone from Pidgey.

They continued deeper into the cave, Jin could now stand at full height without hunching over.

In the map it showed the path giving a sharp left turn and as they continued to approach the turn the darkness brightened as they got closer.

Just a few steps away Jin could already make out details on the cave.

Once they turned the corner Jin was stunned by what he saw.
