Chapter 82

[Third Person's PoV]

A few days has passed since Cid's naughty night with Eta, who later on woke up feeling both sore and satisfied.

Cid was seen on a Train ride sitting in front of Rose in a private compartment.

"About what happened at school the other day. Something is off about the situation" Rose said with a pondering expression.

"Oh yeah?" Cid asked, just trying to make conversation.

"The group of black cloaked men who claimed the name 'Shadow Garden' and the man who was with those girls also claiming to be from 'Shadow Garden' were from two different organizations"

"And how did you come to that conclusion?" Cid said while looking at her with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"The way they fought was nothing alike, the black cloaked men fought with a fairly regular well known stance while Azrael…"

"Azrael?" Cid asked, trying to see what she had to say about it.

"That's the name the man who was with the girls goes by"

"And you know this because?" Cid looking at Rose questioningly

"Ah right, You see, when I was little my father came to Midgar for a diplomatic discussion with the King but during that time I was kidnapped and held for ransom.

When I was captured he appeared suddenly in the middle of the night and killed all of my kidnappers, saving my life. As he was leaving I impulsively asked for his name in which he told me to call him Azrael."

Cid nodded his head, which prompted Rose to continue what she said earlier, "As I was saying, I saw the way the both groups fought, Azrael's group is just in a completely different league.

Plus like a said Azrael saved my life when I was a little girl, he's a good person so he wouldn't have just committed a terrorist attack like that"

"So what do you make of the situation?" Cid asked.

"I believe the ones that attacked the school are trying to pin the blame/incriminate Azrael's group/organization. I'm still trying to figure out why and how I could help"

"Excuse me?" Cid asked, being taken by surprise.

"I am someone who always believe in returning the favor, he saved my lived so I wish to help him out from this predicament just like how he helped me"

"Do they even need your help? Didn't he save you again against the other black cloaked men when they were trying to overwhelm you? No offense" Cid said with a teasing smirk which Rose picked up on.

She pouted as her turned red, "I may not be strong but I'm still a princess, I was mostly thinking about using some connections to try and investigate"

Cid just chuckled and shook his head, which just caused Rose's pouting to increase "What's so funny"

But before Cid could say anything the train suddenly stopped. They both looked out the window and realized that they arrived at their destination

"It looks like we arrived, the holy land of Lindwurm" Rose said as they both started getting up and exiting the train.

Rose and Cid started walking side by side, "Why don't we go sightseeing for it, it could be fun" Rose suggested

"Sure, this place looks like it's full of energy, there's so many people around."

And so they did just that, Rose and Cid started exploring Lindwurm trying out different foods by the stall together.

Checking out accessories and different objects that were being sold, until they came across a long line of people.

"Woah so many people!" Rose said while looking at the long line,

"Wait a minute! Is that a signing session for my favorite author, Natsume!" She yelled excitedly, she then grabbed Cid's wrist and started pulling him towards the long line

"I am a big fan of hers, Oh My God! Do you know about her? She is a very big deal?! Surely you must have heard of her! Let's go and stand in line together"

Rose dragged Cid towards the line and they waited for their turn to meet Natsume, while waiting Rose kept talking about the different books Natsume had released.

"My favorite ones are, Romeo and Juliet, Little Red riding hood, Cinderella, honestly now that I'm saying them it's hard to pick a favorite"

Cid just listened to everything with a weary smile on his face.

Slowly but surely they made their way through the long line and reached Natsume, also known as Beta The sin of Lust.

"Next Please!" Beta calls.

Rose and Cid soon stood in front of Natsume, Rose immediately started asking her questions "Your stories are all so amazing! How do you even come up with them? What's your inspiration? You are just simply brilliant!"

"Why thank you" Natsume says with a smile but her smiles widen when she sees Cid.

Meanwhile Cid just looks at her with a teasing smile and asks "Yeah I'm also curious how you come up with them. You must be the smartest and most artist person to walked the planet"

Rose just nodded her head in agreement and looked at Natsume with anticipation for an answer.

Natsume started blushing slightly when she realized Cid was teasing but she gained her composure and smiled back.

She puts a finger by her lips and winks at them, "Let's just say this is a secret for me to keep close to my heart"

Hearing this Cid just shook his head and rolled his eyes. While Rose nodded her head as if she understood what Natsume was talking.

Natsume signed a book for both of them and she wrote a bit extra on Cid's book and handed them the books.

She smiled once again as she said "Thank you both for your support"

And with that she called for the next person.

As they both walked off Rose lets out a satisfied sigh, "That's so romantic"

Cid then looked at her like she was crazy. "What?" He asked, totally confused, what at any point in their interaction was anything romantic mentioned.

"Ah you didn't realize? I guess then it's only something a girl would understand" Rose said while shaking her head.

"Can't you just explain it to me?" Cid asked, still lost and trying to figure out, what was romantic about the bullshit Beta was spouting.

"Sigh, very well, She's in love! When she says that she's keeping her inspiration close to her heart it means it's someone special someone she loves"

"Really?" Cid asked while looking at her with a deadpan expression.

Rose nodded her head "What else could it possibly be if not love?"

'Bullshit' answered in his head, "Are you really sure it's love?"

Rose just shook her head "This is why I said this is something only a girl would understand"

Cid then opened the book he was handed and saw the message Beta left behind in Ancient Runes, "During the Goddess Trail, We shall kill the pope and destroy the sanctuary, thus destroying a large power source of the cult"

'Well that's dark' Cid snicker, if he didn't know anything and just read this he would have had to do a spit take.

Rose looked over and saw what Cid was looking at and saw the Ancient Ruin language, "Did she sign your book using Ancient language?...why?" she then went and checked her book and realized hers wasn't like that.

Cid just closed the book and looked at her with a smirk "isn't it obvious? I must have been her inspiration and the only way to express it is through the ancient language"

Rose just scoffed thinking Cid was just teasing her, which he was. And the two continued exploring Lindwurm, checking out the other main attractions…
