The village where Huzi's father lived wasn't too far from the city. Under the moonlight, Wei Zhuang drove the carriage at breakneck speed, quickly arriving at the front door of the city's finest clinic.
Before the carriage even came to a stop, Huzi's mother leaped out and dashed to the clinic door like an arrow. She pounded on the door and cried out, "Help, doctor! Save him!"
Wei Zhuang and another man from the village carried Huzi's father while the village chief tightly pressed against his head wound.
The three men all shouted together outside the door, "Doctor, save him! Please open the door! Help!"
"I'm coming! Stop knocking! Stop shouting! I'm coming! What's all this noise at this hour?" A voice from inside replied after a while.
The door was then opened, and a pharmacy staff stepped out, "What is the emergency! All this fuss in the middle of the night…"
