Quidditch match

The time quickly reached eleven o'clock, and the Quidditch pitch was packed with people. It seemed like the entire school's staff and students had gathered in the stands around the Quidditch pitch. Many students even brought binoculars to get a better view of the game. The stands looked like they were suspended in mid-air due to the floating charm, making it easier to watch the match, though at times, it was still challenging to see the game clearly.

Roger and the other team members accompanied Kevin and Cirilla to the locker room. "Hey, folks, our moment of glory as Ravenclaw is about to arrive. We are the best team Ravenclaw has ever had!" Roger passionately started his pre-game speech. "Two years ago, our star Chaser, Miss Lyanna Allen, joined Ravenclaw, and our performance surpassed Gryffindor's, second only to Slytherin. And this year, we have a young prodigy Chaser, Kevin Green. Neither Slytherin nor Hufflepuff stand a chance against us! Wish us luck! Tell me, What are we?"

"Champions!" the team cheered.

The Ravenclaw Quidditch team members, filled with enthusiasm, left the locker room and headed towards the cheering and roaring stadium. Surprisingly, it was not Roger who led them but Cirilla, who was considered the team's biggest "star." Kevin followed closely behind, unafraid, even a bit exhilarated—because, in this fervent atmosphere, even he couldn't help but be affected.

The scene at the stadium resembled the explosive matches of football or basketball from the previous world. Kevin quickly spotted the Ravenclaw section in the stands, where a massive banner hung above the seats, reading, "Ravenclaw for Victory." Surrounding the large banner were smaller ones with the names of the seven team members. These banners were enchanted to float on their own above the Ravenclaw stands, eliminating the need for people to hold them. The blue banners fluttered in the wind, and the eagle emblem with wings outstretched seemed like a soaring eagle in flight.

The referee for the match was Madam Hooch, standing in the centre of the pitch with her broom in hand. "Everyone, pay attention. I hope you all will participate in this match fairly and honestly," she said as the players from both teams gathered around her.

Kevin mounted his Nimbus 2000. This was a gift from Professor Flitwick, the Ravenclaw Head of House, who didn't want his students to lose to Gryffindor's Chaser.

Madam Hooch blew her silver whistle forcefully. Fifteen broomsticks shot up into the sky, soaring high above. The match had begun.

"Good morning, everyone! I am the commentator for this match—Lee Jordan," a voice filled with enthusiasm echoed, igniting the atmosphere in the stadium. Lee Jordan, a black boy from Gryffindor with traditional dreadlocks, spoke with a rhythmic flair and had remarkable talent for commentary.

"This match is Ravenclaw versus Hufflepuff!" Lee Jordan's passionate voice continued, capturing the attention of the entire crowd. "Cirilla, Ravenclaw's chaser, has grabbed the quaffle right away. This girl is an outstanding chaser, and her joining Ravenclaw transformed the Quidditch team. I dare say she's the true captain of Ravenclaw, not Roger, and she's quite charming too."

"Jordan!"

"Sorry, Professor," Lee Jordan responded.

"She's up there, sprinting all the way, making a beautiful pass, and Kevin Green caught it without even looking back—an incredible connection!" Jordan's commentary continued, praising Cirilla and Kevin's teamwork. "The newcomer Cirilla found this year, Kevin Green is amazing! If Gryffindor's Harry Potter is the youngest seeker in the past century, then Kevin Green is the youngest chaser."

While Lee Jordan introduced Kevin, he couldn't resist mentioning Harry Potter from Gryffindor.

"Beautiful! With just a quick move, he's evaded Zacharias's long-planned interception. He hasn't disappointed Cirilla's expectations; even though he's young, he's agile!" Jordan's voice continued. Kevin swiftly raced through the centre, with Zacharias unable to catch up. "He's fast—astonishingly fast! It turns out he's riding a Nimbus 2000; just like Harry, it seems Ravenclaw doesn't want to be outdone by Gryffindor."

Lee Jordan once again brought up Harry's name.

Hufflepuff's other chaser, Cadwallader, suddenly intercepted, blocking Kevin's path. Faced with this inevitable interception, Kevin threw the quaffle to the upper left while simultaneously turning his broom to the lower right.

This move left Cadwallader confused, as he couldn't decide whether to block the ball or Kevin himself. As a result, Kevin smoothly circled around him, and the quaffle landed in Cirilla's hands in the upper right.

"A beautiful two-on-one play!" Lee Jordan exclaimed excitedly. "Kevin outsmarted Cadwallader, and Cirilla was already waiting up there. I've never seen such synchronization—they didn't even exchange a glance!"

"Cirilla continues forward, heading straight for the scoring area without slowing down!"

"Will we see it now? Cirilla's classic solo break! It's her signature move that has helped Ravenclaw become a strong contender for the Quidditch Cup."

"Oh! Keeper Stephens is coming out to meet her. He wants to challenge Cirilla's breakthrough head-on. Can he succeed?"

With Lee Jordan's enthusiastic commentary, everyone's attention was focused on the Hufflepuff goalposts. Shortly after, they heard Lee Jordan's exclamation:

"Oh no! She hasn't taken the shot herself. Cirilla didn't go for the solo break; she actually passed the ball just as she entered the scoring area! Everyone's forgotten she has teammates! It's Kevin, Kevin Green, who received the ball—he was waiting there all along, and now that Hufflepuff's defence is all drawn to Cirilla, Now he faces an open goal!"

Kevin, riding his Nimbus 2000, threw the quaffle towards the hoop. "It's a goal! A brilliant combination! Chaser Cirilla used herself to draw all the attention and pass the ball to her teammate! The youngest Chaser in a century, Kevin Green, didn't disappoint the expectations of his predecessors. He scored the first goal of this match in less than a minute." With Jordan's exhilarating commentary, the Ravenclaw stands erupted in cheers, less than a minute after the start.

Translation is hard; cheer me up!

Bloody hell! In this chapter, everything was written in the past tense.
