In just a couple of minutes, blue and golden flashes flooded New York. Everything happened too fast, and with the Allen vs. Superman fight in full swing, many people didn't even realize.
However, the alarms at S.H.I.E.L.D. sounded, and the special agents were deployed, with the top priority being the protection of civilians. The army mobilized, and Tony also found out, Charles Xavier too, however, it was Allen himself who sent a message to them informing them that he had someone handling the culprit of the chaos.
It would be difficult to accept it from anyone else, but when it's Allen Walker himself who says it, he has a huge power of persuasion, especially because he's having an unreal-scale battle on the other side of the screen.
With the conclusion of the battle, there were many different reactions.
Fury sat in his chair and decided to smoke something he didn't usually do. Nick Fury pulled out a device similar to a locator or an old transmitter.
"I thought Carol would be a good option to stop him if he ever turned against us, but I just realized it's impossible..." Fury said.
Fury didn't know what actions the governments and organizations of the world would take, but for now, no one could stop Allen Walker, not after seeing what he was capable of.
Fury wasn't too worried; he's a veteran spy and knows how to read people very well. Allen was touched by many opportunities to change his nature and become a monster, but he didn't.
Even drunk, even as a villain, even killing... he had his clear limits.
Fury chuckled; it was more likely that S.H.I.E.L.D. or the government would become a crazy conqueror destroying worlds than Allen.
...
Charles shut down his computer and asked Beast to take him for a walk. Beast pushed the wheelchair.
"Friend... I'm not as good a person as many believe..."
"Nobody is," Beast said, not giving too much importance to Charles' words.
Both saw many children and young people in the mansion's courtyard carrying out recreational activities; however, there were many fantastic things like a flying child, a girl who disappeared as if she became invisible, and a young man with metal skin. A boy who froze the fountain and was then chased by others.
"I think if it's to protect these children, I'm willing to do many bad things..." Charles said.
Charles had done things like erasing people's memories, modifying people's memories, and controlling people; he did it all to protect the future of mutants, but he knows he's quite hypocritical and not the best person in the world.
Charles smiled bitterly. "I envy him..."
"I see," his faithful friend replied.
Charles remained silent for a moment, then lifted his face with renewed resolution.
"Do you think Allen would accept to be a teacher to these children?"
"What?!"
"After thinking about it, I realized that there is nothing more qualified than Allen to show the right path to these children!"
"Hey, Charles, you can't be serious! Did you see his disciple?! That boy would create monsters if you let him take charge!"
Charles smiled. "But it would be good monsters."
...
Magneto's reaction was silent; he didn't say anything about it after seeing Allen's power. However, he decided to seclude himself to strengthen his powers.
At the same time, he gave two orders: the first was to monitor Charles' movements, and the second was to postpone his expansion plan, which consisted of gathering young mutants marginalized by society.
"..."
...
As expected, Tony went out to intervene in the fight, but when he saw that it was the mysterious woman who helped Allen against Loki, he simply deployed drones to help the civilians.
Unexpectedly, there were no casualties. Artoria made sure of that; even the people who were frozen by Esdeath earlier were surrounded by a barrier that kept them alive within the ice.
The fight intensified; Tony didn't know whether to pay attention to Allen or Artoria.
...
The confrontation also caught the attention of an older woman who meditated. She had seen different conflicts involving Allen, however, she didn't intervene. No one knew what was going through that woman's mind as her eyes seemed to delve into the truth of the world.
"This is troublesome."
...
Esdeath attacked surrounded by several spears that shot at high speed toward Artoria.
Artoria surrounded herself with the blessing of the wind and destroyed the attack.
Esdeath had arrived in front of Artoria with a new sword made of ice. Her hand moved quickly until only a blur could be seen, Esdeath made hundreds of cuts but none of these attacks connected.
Artoria narrowed her eyes and stopped the cuts with her arm covered in metal, this surprised Esdeath. Immediately, Artoria's fist hit her stomach; she used her hand to stop the punch, she had a wild smile but showed pain.
"Frosten!" Esdeath said, and Artoria's fist began to freeze. "This is heavy," Esdeath added, feeling the weight of Artoria's fist.
Artoria ignored Esdeath's words. She simply pushed her fist further, breaking the ice and causing Esdeath to recoil; the general had to divert her attention for a second due to the blow.
When Esdeath looked up, there was a shining blade about to cut her. "...!"
An explosion of ice occurred, and Esdeath was sent flying backward, stopping in mid-air for a moment before landing atop a building. She had traces of ice on her face with a cut on her cheek.
"Hagelsprung!" Esdeath shouted, creating a large glacier and sending it towards Artoria, but she simply swung her swords to cut it in half and then destroy it.
*Esdeath's POV*
He's a monster... Hahahaha
I lost count of how many times I was called that, and to be honest, I considered it a compliment. If my power is big enough for them to call me a monster, it means I'm doing it right.
However, never in my life did I think the day would come when I would use that term with someone else.
"Weissschnabel!"
I used my technique to form many ice icicles and threw them towards her. She destroyed my attack almost instantly and disappeared from my sight, I had my sixth sense, and I knew she was almost on my neck.
I understood it, she was surrounded by flashes of golden light, and here was my executioner.
Her sword brushed against my neck; I used a solid ice layer in my hands to deflect the blow, but instantly, another slash came from a different and uncomfortable angle.
The blonde woman with green eyes was able to push me to the limit just to block her attacks.
Thanks to that, I became more skilled and responsive. I became more skilled and able to counterattack from time to time. At first, it was once every ten attacks, then once every eight, once every five, once every three.
I kept fighting at the limit; every time she approached, my life was in danger. I hadn't felt like this since my fight with Akame, but with this mysterious woman, it's every damn second that I feel on the brink of death.
HAHAHAHAHA
It's fun, it's *** fun. I created a lance of ice, brought it to absolute zero, and used it as a weapon. However, I couldn't freeze her shining sword, which should have happened when touching it with this lance.
I attacked from the front; she used her hand to deflect my attack and hit me in the face, making me recoil but not much.
I encased her in an ice sphere, but she easily cut through it; it was just a distraction. I threw my lance at her.
The lance cut through the air at supersonic speed. When it hit her, she recoiled. For a moment, I thought I had hit her, but she held the lance of absolute zero with her bare hand.
...

...
To be honest, at this point, I can accept my situation to a certain extent. She is powerful even if Allen isn't. The fact that he has a woman with this strength obeying him is enough for me to behave. However, I still need to know if he has what it takes.
Before, I trusted the strength of the empire, but it turned out to be weak and was overthrown. There's nothing wrong with it; it's the universal law...
All my cute subordinates died because they were weak. Tatsumi died because he was weak. I died because I was weak. It's the rule; it's the law. Ideas don't matter; only those who manage to impose themselves in the end.
Therefore, if I am going to be under someone this time it must be someone truly stronger than me.
"Don't let your guard down..."
She appeared next to me and grabbed my head, then slammed me against a giant tower (skyscraper). I managed to freeze everything around me and push her away.
Hehe, she has no mercy. Every mistake, she punishes brutally. I just got distracted in my thoughts for a tenth of a second and almost had my head torn off.
Indeed, this fight has helped me increase my limits, know my limits, and overcome some. However, I think it's time to end this.
She stopped in the air while I stood on an ice pillar. She's not dumb; she can sense that I'm about to do something dangerous, but she shouldn't know what.
*End of POV*
Esdeath smiled slightly, looking at Artoria's sword. "So you got serious?" Her voice was laden with disdain, but inside, she was happy because she respected Artoria's strength. "Let's see what you do against this!" Esdeath shouted.
She clasped her hands; the veins in her body bulged, and a massive ice meteor appeared in the sky. It was so big it seemed to darken all of New York, like an eclipse.
The sweat-drenched face of the beautiful and deadly Esdeath revealed fatigue; even for the Invincible General Esdeath, creating this was exhausting and difficult.
"Come on, tell me what you'll do, Artoria?!"
Esdeath's roars denoted her declaration of a challenge to Artoria.
The king contemplated calling Ronghonminyad, but then he looked at his sword. Since he recovered it, there had been no need to use it.
She was no longer the old Artoria; even if she accepted her past, it didn't mean she forgot what she was now.
"More than a thousand years have passed..."
Artoria gripped her sword with both hands and looked at the sky. Esdeath's gaze shifted from interest to amazement and then to enjoyment.
"Hahahaha!" she laughed.
Artoria ignored her and remained silent; she ignored the screams of terror from millions of people seeing the end of the world; she ignored everything except the sword in her hands.
Once, she wished for that sword, then she hated it, then she needed it, then she forgot about it, and finally, it returned to her hand... once again... However, something was different. Artoria no longer had responsibilities; she no longer bore the weight of a nation or humanity itself.
She knew it was all thanks to Allen, and that's why she was angry with Esdeath.
Artoria's eyes opened, illuminated by divinity, and she looked at the sky or rather, the massive object about to fall onto New York.
"Excalibur..."
The entire sky lit up with golden light for a moment, perhaps half a minute. Esdeath also covered her eyes.
...
However, in that moment of complete distraction, Esdeath smiled causing Artoria for the first time during their fight to feel chills.
"Mahapadma!!"
