Chapter 281: Kill Them

"Brother Urahana!" A thug wearing straw sandals ran frantically into the room, gasping for breath and calling out to Jiro Urahana, who had his back to him.

Jiro Urahana wore a cherry blossom-colored samurai outfit, his hair tied back in a ponytail. He sat upright, with a lean and sharp face, his eyes exuding a captivating and authoritative presence. He was kneeling on a straw mat, back facing the door, cradling a cup in his left hand and sipping tea with his right.

Despite the tea being a simple blend of mountain tea, it was a rare display of elegance given his current circumstances.

"Do not panic. Maintain a calm heart in any situation; this way, you can find a way to overcome adversity," Jiro Urahana said, lightly sipping from the cup, the tea's fragrance moistening his lips. "Now, tell me what happened."

"Yes, Brother Urahana." The panting thug's frantic expression slightly calmed. He couldn't help but admire Jiro Urahana's composure. Even though his lifelong companion and most capable subordinate had been killed, Urahana remained so serene. Indeed, he lived up to being the brother of a Shinigami.

"Brother Watanabe was killed at the village entrance," the thug reported, mimicking Jiro Urahana's calm demeanor and speaking in a flat tone.

'Clang!'

The mottled green teacup fell to the ground, spilling light brown tea everywhere.

"What did you say?" Jiro Urahana abruptly turned around, his eyes flashing with ferocity, his not-so-sturdy body radiating an aura of bloodshed.

Watanabe had grown up with him, loyally following him. He was the only one who would rush to shield him when someone tried to stab him.

Jiro Urahana was deeply attached to Watanabe. Since his brother, Ichiro Urahana, became a Shinigami and taught him many sword techniques, he had shared some of these techniques with Watanabe so that the former could better protect him.

Even though he only taught Watanabe a few basic defensive moves, Toudou could easily take on four or five ordinary people.

But now he was dead!

Jiro Urahana was shocked and saddened. Which group in the nearby villages dared to disrespect him and kill Watanabe?

Did they not know the Urahana Clan? Did they not know Jiro Urahana? Did they not know his brother, Ichiro Urahana, was a Shinigami? Did they not know the power of a Shinigami?

Watanabe had only gone out on a routine patrol to oppress the villagers, kill a few lowly commoners, kidnap some children, and complete his assigned tasks. He didn't deserve to die. Who dared to kill his brother?

"Who dared to kill him?" Jiro Urahana's face was sharp as a blade, cold and furious.

"A child not wearing any clothes. He was coming towards the village and encountered Brother Watanabe. Without any sense of samurai spirit, he threw a tantō like a dagger and hit Brother Watanabe in the neck," the thug quickly replied. He couldn't help but sigh internally at the deep bond Urahana had with Watanabe. Normally, Urahana showed no emotions, but he was clearly furious over Watanabe's death.

"A child not wearing any clothes?" Jiro Urahana's anger momentarily halted, and he looked at the thug with suspicion, as if to say, "Are you kidding me?"

Watanabe was strong, and a child killed him? And one naked?

"Yes, it was brought by the two children who previously escaped. It seems they are seeking revenge on our Urahana Clan. They are heading towards the Urahana Clan headquarters now," the thug said earnestly and seriously, insisting that he was not lying.

Though it sounded absurd, it was what he had witnessed from a distance.

Now, those two uninjured comrades were probably already killed by that ruthless, merciless, naked child.

That naked child was truly cruel!

"Hmph, useless fools!"

Jiro Urahana's sharp, cold face showed anger, furious at their incompetence.

"I taught you so many sword techniques, yet Watanabe couldn't even use a fraction of his strength and was killed by a child with a thrown tantō. It's truly disgraceful, dying in such a humiliating manner, and the child wasn't even wearing clothes."

"Is that child on his way here?"

Jiro Urahana stormed towards the door, ready to kill the child himself, but as he reached the threshold, he paused. The thought of a clan leader like himself rushing off to confront a naked child seemed undignified.

If other clans heard about it, they'd laugh at him. How could he show his face again?

He stopped at the doorframe, his expression stern, and asked, "Are they still coming towards headquarters?"

"Yes, they are heading straight here," the thug replied.

Jiro Urahana's expression shifted from stern to calm. He walked back to the grass mat, knelt down, and took out a katana, meticulously and calmly polishing it. "Let them come to meet their death," he said flatly.

The thug, witnessing Jiro Urahana's demeanor, felt a surge of admiration. He turned to guard the door, adopting a similarly calm and world-weary expression.

H'el picked up the sword named Sakura. His small child's hand had some difficulty gripping the hilt tightly due to its size. The blade itself was 1.2 meters long, and with the hilt, it reached 1.4 meters, taller than H'el himself. But this wasn't an issue for him.

Any weapon in H'el's hands could be used with extreme skill. For H'el, weapons were merely tools to control distance between himself and his enemy. He had once perceived atomic gaps and understood the magnetic fields between atoms. While his current child's body lacked the strength and the vision to see atomic gaps, his precise control and unique sense of distance remained unmatched by any master swordsman.

With his mastery of control and distance, any weapon in his hands could perform miraculous feats.

H'el casually twirled Sakura in his hand, its tip lifting pieces of Watanabe's dark blue martial arts uniform from his corpse. The sword's light flashed as H'el's movements cut the fabric into pieces, which scattered through the air. When H'el stopped, a perfectly sized martial arts uniform fell around him.

Gin Ichimaru and the two uninjured thugs were stunned.

H'el stepped forward, and the uniform fell onto him perfectly. He casually tied the belt around his waist, sheathed Sakura, and slung it over his shoulder. With a calm expression, he said to Gin Ichimaru and Rangiku Matsumoto, "Kill them."
