And then there was only two

So, where should I start? I know. Let's begin with the fact that Father had a fantastic surprise for us. At first, we just rented a hotel room for the first night, not gonna lie. That wasn't the most comfortable experience. Since we aren't rich, all we could afford was something they call hostels here. I have heard of them, of course, but as an American, I had never been to one. Could you imagine my surprise when I learned these places have community dormitories? Oh man, that was an awful night. For starters, we had to separate. Since I'm a girl and both Magnus and Dad are men, we had to separate. For apparent reasons, men only sleep in men's dormitories, while women only do so with women.

Seems pretty logical, but I regretted this decision to say yes to the hostel as soon as I entered the place. For crying out loud, it is like we are being packed like sardines here. Aside from the fact that we have very little room, the one I was in had a bit of a weird smell. Of course, I didn't want to call it out, but it was clear someone had that classic "Fish" smell. Oh Gods, almighty, come down and save me. Anyhow, I managed to just take a shower and force myself to sleep. The bed wasn't comfy either. If anything, the floor would've been comfier! But okay, I just sucked it up and managed to survive the night.

Believe it or not, my first night turned out to be super productive since that girl had an awful smell. Seriously, it was horrible. How bad, you ask? Well, I checked on my status out of curiosity. She had such a bad smell I gained a new skill called. "Poison Gas resistance." Not only that, but it was also at level 4 already. Sheeesh talk about a stinky roommate, uh? Anyway, I won't be so harsh, so let's just move on with our day, I told myself.

After all, we had to head back home now since Magnus did not achieve to get home from this city. That was at least what I had in mind. My Father, on the other hand, had other plans. I did notice something was off about their auras because as soon as I saw them, they just seemed too happy. And my assumption would be correct. Because Father then revealed he had plans for us to stay in the city, this took me by surprise. Magnus? Not so much. I guess Dad had already told him the night before. If that was the case, though, did that mean my Father was basically giving me away to Magnus? Oh my gosh, no. No, calm down, Yui. There is nothing to be worried about. I kept repeating to myself until Dad said.

- So, Magnus, I trust you will be a good fiancé to my daughter, alright, champ?

- Of course, sir.

- Hey! He will what with me, you said?

- This is not up for debate, Yui. As I said, the school fees are already paid, and I have arranged jobs  for you, too.

- Much appreciated, Mr. Gal.

What the heck? Since when does Magnus is allowed to call my Daddy like that? There is something fishy around here, ahaha, no pun intended. He already arranged jobs, too? How? When? Why? I did not know until Dad explained that he had been contacting old friends who now worked at the city college, and through connections and friendships, he had managed to get me tuition. As far as Magnus went, though, he explained that he put a deposit down for the first year for Magnus but that we would have to work hard to pay for his next year, as he was already out of money. What a good surprise. To be honest, I could not have gotten a better one.

After discussing the details a little further, Dad just took us to the college, and just like that. We just walked right into the reception, where a lady seemed slightly annoyed by our sudden presence. But she just asked for my Dad's ID and then just looked at us and then at Dad again.

- They don't look 15.

- It's because they aren't fifteen yet.

- Ugh, this just makes my job harder. I am going to punish you later for this, Gal.

- Please go easy on me, Susie.

- Come on, you two, follow me. I will take you to the counselor's office, and he will then help yo find your grades and classes.

Her voice was filled with power, and I could not even resist. Her stare was too penetrating. Without even thinking, I followed her along with Magnus. Even he looked nervous for once. Not even Dad's death stare faced him, but a skinny woman's voice did? She definitely had a skill or something to intimidate for sure. Uh? You wonder why I didn't just appraise her? Are you insane? She would one thousand percent notice it. I wasn't about to risk my life so you would be happy, no thank you.

Following for a while longer, we arrived at a secluded place with chairs and an office in front of us. So we sat down. For a while after that, nothing really happened. We sat there in silence for a reasonably long time until a man appeared out of nowhere, wearing what looked like a blue navy suit. The man popped out of nowhere and then proceeded to present himself.

- Hi there. My name is Mr. James. I have heard you two are our new students.

- Y-yeah. {I answer}

= Oh good, now I'd like to see your ID cards, please. It'll be faster than looking up your name, date of birth, etc.

- Sure.

For a long while, we just sat there after giving the man our ID. There was little talk for an extended period of time. The man seemed a bit worried at first, but then he just kept analyzing our papers and IDs, looking back and forth. Until he finally sighted a sigh of relief, then handing our IDs back, he just quenched his fingers and said.

= Welcome to Enginheim City College. Pardon that long silence. It's just that we last had such young students a very long time ago. So, let's get started with your classes since we need to know your stats to best teach and train you. I will be handing you an appraisal stone. Please be aware that the stone will make you feel a bit weird, but it's nothing to worry about.

We both nod in approval. First goes Magnus; since he said he used to use appraisal stones', it takes him little time to appraise himself in front of the counselor. To which the counselor reacts amused.

- Oh? Incredible, even though you're not even fifteen yet, your strength and SP are over the top. I do have concerns about your MP. What happened here?

= I do not know, sir {Magnus seemed. Depressed after seeing his own MP, but not really surprised}

- Well, that's alright. We will have to focus on magic training more than physical training. Now it's your turn, little lady.

Of course, next in line was me. I was worried. What if having a ruler title was considered taboo or something. Ow man. I was praying to every god my stats wouldn't all pop up, but to my dismay, they all did. What the heck? Even my crazy MP showed up in front of the man. Mr. James appeared shocked. His eyes went wide open for sure just now. It shocked him so much that he started reading some of them out loud.

- HP super auto recovery level 3, MP One hundred thousand of One hundred thousand, Ruler of Justice, Seeker of Justice level ten, What the?

The man stood silently while looking at me, still very baffled at my stats. He kept staring at the screen, then at me, back at the screen, and right back to me. Until he came back to his senses, and acted like he didn't act so weird just now.

- Well, your Father did say you were something else, but I never would've imagined we have a goddess at our school now.

What?

Did I just hear him right? Did he really call me a Goddess? No, Yui, don't let it get to your head. He's probably overexaggerating. I am definitely no Goddess, alright?

- You have the MP of a Goddess, an unreachable level for humans, and you just have it. Not only that, but you also have one of this world's most sought-after titles.

- Is that a bad thing?

- No, of course not. It just means we have very little to teach you magic-wise. You may not know it, but with that title you have, the construction of spells and even the chants become irrelevant. All you have to do is think about the spell or rune.

- What? How do you know that?

- It's confidential Knowledge, but since you already have the title, there's no reason to hide this from you. I will, however, ask you to never let anyone else appraise you with our stone.

- So it is bad, after all.

- The aristocrats' families might make trouble if they found out about this. Don't worry, though. Our stone just so happens to have been recently upgraded to something they call "Great Sage."
