"Is he really trying to become a legal nerd?" Peggy Lewis frowned.
If Jacob Zahn wanted to retaliate against her, he would have to do so secretly.
At the workplace, he no longer had any chances to retaliate through official means.
"Anyway, the look he gave earlier really made me uneasy." Abigail Ackehurst rubbed her own arm, "no matter what, you should be careful."
"Right, you use the subway to commute. Maybe you should start driving yourself from now on," Clara Evans suggested. "Though the roads might be jam-packed, at least you wouldn't have to walk a stretch on your own."
"The trip from the subway station to the company is fine, it's crowded with other commuters. The dangerous part is from the subway station to your house, especially if you have to work late." Clara explained.
"What if he's insane enough to wait for you on the street?" Clara found the thought terrifying.
