The incident in the elevator left Evelyn somewhat baffled, as she sat down at the dining table feeling a bit absent-minded.

"What are you thinking about? You look pale. Are you feeling unwell?" Chester sat down beside her and touched her forehead.

Evelyn instinctively grabbed his hand and looked up at him.

"Are you sure Lucas Scott really has claustrophobia?"

"He's a very careful person. No one has ever seen him suffer an episode. But since the Yale family found out this information, it shouldn't be wrong. Why are you suddenly asking this? What happened in the elevator just now?"

Chester cupped her face and gazed at her absent-minded expression with furrowed brows.

"Nothing much, it's just that he didn't seem like he was unwell… but later, when the elevator opened…" Evelyn thought of Lucas's paper-white face and clenched her hands.

She couldn't figure it out for a while and simply decided to put it aside.

Maybe Lucas made her tell a story not to help her, but to help himself.
