"Womanizer," Shao Mi rolled her eyes, catching onto the playful tone of my words.
"Hey, can't blame me for being irresistible," I retorted with a smirk, leaning casually against air.
"Idiot," she muttered, deciding to completely ignore me.
I shrugged, not bothered by her dismissal, and focused my view on the Hut.
"I think it's better for you to stay here. You might get angry again," I suggested, glancing at her.
I realized that introducing my soon to be wife to my ex wife right of the bat might not be the best idea.
"Why?" She asked, not knowing that we are here for Zayen.
"Just in case," I replied, keeping it simple. "Better safe than sorry."
Deep down, I knew that Zayen wouldn't mind meeting Shao Mi, but the reverse might not be true.
"Alright, I'll wait here," she sighed, reluctantly giving in.
With her staying behind, I walked toward the small hut.
The hut, simple and weathered, stood quietly.
