Trapped Beast

Cheryl seemed to have feelings that she shouldn't have for me.

I unconsciously took a step back and bumped into the door behind me. Then, my parents discovered me.

They looked back at me with unhappy faces, but they didn't hide it from me anymore. "Since you heard it, we'll just be frank."

"You're the child your mother and I adopted. We raised you and we don't expect you to repay us for taking care of you in your old age, but Cheryl! You're the one who caused her to fall sick. You owe her your life!"

I owed her my life.

I walked aimlessly on the empty street, and my temples throbbed with pain. Occasionally, a car would pass me. I even wanted to lie down and let the tires run through my body.

My sister, who grew up with me, may die because of me. I couldn't bear such a burden!

Unconsciously, I walked up to Angela's apartment.

It was already very late, but the lights in her room were still on, as if she was waiting for me.
