Partner (Part 1)

After guiding Landon back to the room, Jasmine didn't immediately leave. Instead, she walked right in.

Landon didn't object; in fact, he just closed the door. In that instant turn, he felt a chilling blade against his neck. Landon didn't react and calmly looked at her. He had sensed Jasmine's hostility earlier, which was why he had let her lead the way.

Contrary to her earlier innocence, Jasmine's face darkened. She coldly stared at Landon: "I don't care who you are. Even if it's my father's order, I won't devote myself to you."

The sharp blade drew nearer.

Landon looked at her helplessly. He hadn't done anything, so why was she assuming that he wanted her?

But, from Jasmine's words, he understood the chieftain's scheme: He wanted to make him infatuated with Jasmine, so he could provide him with strong support and eliminate a threat.

The plan was good, but he forgot about the desires of the two people that got involved.
