Chapter Twenty-Six:I Am Already Insane.

Just like Giovanni has told his father, he already made up his mind to go to the cops and tell them all about what has gone down six years ago. That would be the right thing to do so that man would have  peace of mind wherever he is.

He just couldn't see the reason why his father didn't adhere to his request, it's not like he didn't have the money to help that man's family. He just decided to complicate things for him which was why he's here at the hospital, the last place he would want to come since after that night to see his doctor.

As he sat down in the reclining chair, while tapping his hands impatiently on the table his mind was in a war of his own, as he didn't know where exactly to start if Doctor Raphael asked him to explain what's happening to him.

All he could remember was that he slept with this woman, and woke up the next day having a nightmare that he hasn't had in many years. What exact reasons would he give him for this new development?

Giovanni thought, but when the door opened to reveal a much alive Doctor.Rapheal who had aged since the last they saw each other. The smile on his face made Giovanni know that today was going to be a long day, to which he's not planning on reminiscing about old times through drinks if he asks for that.

"It's been a long time, Mr. Russo. I couldn't believe it when my assistant told me you called."

The doctor said, taking up a file before sitting on the next chair towards him, since Giovanni wasn't a fan of hugs and handshakes. The look on his face made him knew that what brought him here wasn't entirely all roses just like it was six years ago.

"Let me guess, you are here because you stopped taking your medication and need more of it, because you can't sleep." He added, making Giovat scoff at his words before shaking his head.

"No, it's far more than that, doctor. We both know i detest hospitals, so what makes you think i would willingly come here because of some drugs?" Giovanni asked and he shrugged at his words.

"I'm just saying, it's been a while since you phoned me to know how you are ever since you left. I was paid to ensure that your mental health is safe…"

"Which is exactly why i am here,doc." Giovanni cut him short, before sitting up on the seat to point at the side of his head." Something is wrong here."

"Care to explain, Mr. Russo?" Doctor Raphael asked, he has been his doctor for years ever since that incident and knew better to keep his mouth shut about what happened if he still loved his life and family.

"I…had a nightmare." Giovanni stuttered, it was really hard trying to forget what he saw. The hurt that ran across his eyes knowing that he failed that man was enough to crush his ego, which it did because it confirmed that he was no man.

He's just a child following his father's orders, which shouldn't be that way. He's Giovanni Amir Russo, grandson of Christopher Russo. He answers to nobody.

"I have being taking my drugs, since i left  , which is all thanks to you and my father who successfully made me forget about that night. I lived my life without knowing what happened!" Giovanni said angrily.

"We were trying  to protect you from yourself, Mr. Russo. You are just a kid who shouldn't have experienced that.." Doctor Raphael explained, but his words made him more than angry because he slammed his hands hard on the table.

"I was fucking Seventeen, I was no kid and you helped my father fool me?" He asked, hurt. 

"Mr.Russo, I'm just following orders, your father would have killed me and my family if anything happened to you."

The doctor said to which if Giovanni didn't knew his father better he would say that he wasn't capable of what the doctor was saying. But he knew that he threatened him, his father was nothing but a thug.

A monster who was hiding beneath the face of the vice president of Russo holdings.

"Look, Mr. Russo, I can help you, I have always done my best to ensure your safety and i can as well help you to stop seeing these nightmares but first you need to trust me." The doctor offered.

"Trust?" Giovanni asked, a sinister laugh leaving his lips as if what the doctor just said was nothing but lies.

"Something triggered that memory,  you were not meant to remember that night but i can assure that whatever that is, I can help through every single steps for you not to go insane, it can be overwhelming for patients who had this sort of conditions like you." Doctor Raphael added.

"That's where you are wrong,doctor. It seems to me that i am already insane." Giovanni mumbled, before pointing at his temples." None of you will be able to heal me, until justice prevails."

His words confused the doctor, who would say that he believed him that he was insane because this wasn't the young boy that was put under his care years ago.

But moreso, the reason why his memory came back also left him speechless, but it can all be concluded to one thing.

He went to the crime scene, that clumd only triggered his mind to give him what was the real version of what happened years back than the one he was hypnotized to believe.

"You went to the crime scene, didn't you? That could only explain the reason why your memory…"

"No, I didn't, so can i please have my drugs sent to the house without adding the ones that make me forget. Who knows? I might actually forget what you mean to me and kill you next just like my father fears?" 

Giovanni watched the way he gulped at his words, that would do it. The fear.

"Of.. ofcourse,Mr. Russo, I would do just like you said." Doctor Raphael said, writing down something on his file but Giovanni was done here, so he left for his car but half way to open it, a hand blocked him.

When he turned to see who dared to do that, he saw three of his grandfather's men. He scoffed since he already knew what all these meant.

"We have direct orders to bring you home, Sir. Please, walk with us." The guard said, to which Giovanni made no attempt in fighting his way out because they were more trained than him.

He left with them, just like the prisoner he was to this family but that all changes today, because he's going to make use of what he has to get what he wants.

Since they all want him to work and take up the position of the rightful heir to Russo holdings, he would do that and become powerful enough to find the family of that man, and bring his father's crimes to justice.
