Chapter 95: Let's See Who Eats Whom

The tension between Shinobi and Mitsuri dissipated as they continued their conversation, their words filled with a mix of frustration and affection. Shinobi's anger was palpable, her words a reflection of her strong beliefs. "What hope is there for humans and demons to coexist peacefully? How could that be possible? Those demons wouldn't hesitate to devour their own kin from their past lives, let alone coexist peacefully with stranger humans..."

Mitsuri's response was a gentle smile, her words filled with understanding. "Alright, Shinobi, don't be upset! Kanae-san is just overly kind-hearted. After all, demons were once humans like us!"

Her next words were a tease, her voice filled with amusement. "Moreover, Kanae-san is right, Shinobi. You're cutest when you smile, so stop wearing that angry expression all the time!"

Shinobi's response was a blush, her voice filled with embarrassment. "Mitsuri, stop it!"

Mitsuri's laughter filled the air, her words a gentle tease. "Haha, a blushing Shinobi is also adorable!" She looked at Shinobi's expression, her eyes filled with affection. She then added, "But Shinobi, you must apologize to Kanae-san when we get back! She must be very worried since you ran out without a word~"

Shinobi's response was a reluctant sigh, her voice filled with resignation. "Alright, I get it!"

Their conversation was interrupted by the sight of an abandoned-looking house. "This should be the place!" Mitsuri's voice was filled with determination, her eyes focused on the house.

Shinobi's response was a nod of agreement, her grip on her short sword firm. "For a demon, it's indeed a good hiding place! Let's slay it!"

Meanwhile, Jon had driven Tamayo to their destination. They unbuckled their seatbelts, and Jon got out of the car.

"Jon-san, you go ahead and find that demon! My herb gathering spot is nearby, but I need to rest here for a bit!" Tamayo panted slightly, indicating her discomfort.

"A demon... gets carsick?" Jon scratched his head.

"I'm sorry, I've never been in a car moving this fast before, I might be a bit unaccustomed!" Tamayo explained.

"Alright, rest here then. We'll regroup here later."

Jon then took out his Elder Wand, used the Sin String spell, and followed the trail to find the demon.

The night was thick with tension as Mitsuri and Shinobu, two young demon slayers, continued their search. Their eyes scanned the room, their senses heightened by the danger that lurked in the shadows. A dusty rug caught Shinobu's attention, and she lifted it to reveal a hidden door.

"Mitsuri, come look at this!" Shinobu's voice was filled with anticipation, her eyes gleaming with excitement. Mitsuri quickly joined her, her eyes wide with curiosity.

Shinobu's next move was swift and precise. She drew her sword and with a lightning-fast strike, she cut the lock on the hidden door. The door creaked open to reveal a staircase leading down into the darkness, a strong smell of blood wafting up from the depths.

"Damn it, he must have eaten a lot of people in here!" Shinobu's voice was filled with anger, her words a grim reminder of the demon's atrocities. They descended the stairs into the basement, their hearts pounding in their chests, their swords gripped tightly in their hands.

The basement was a scene of horror, filled with clutter stained with blood. The air was thick with the smell of death, a chilling reminder of the demon's victims.

Suddenly, two orbs rolled towards them, their glow faint but growing brighter with each passing second. Shinobu's instincts kicked in, her voice a sharp warning. "Watch out!"

She pushed Mitsuri behind her just as the orbs exploded in a burst of intense light. The force of the explosion knocked them to the ground, the air filled with smoke and debris.

Mitsuri choked on the thick smoke, her eyes watering from the sting. She turned to Shinobu, her heart pounding in her chest. "Shinobi!" Her voice was filled with panic, her hands shaking as she lifted Shinobu and laid her on the ground.

Shinobu was injured, her clothes torn and her face blackened from the explosion. Her breathing was weak, her body limp.

A voice echoed through the basement, a youthful voice filled with malice. "Oh, two more Demon Slayer Corps swordsmen coming to die, huh?"

A figure emerged from the shadows, a young man with short black hair and three terrifying scars on his face. His ears were pointed, adorned with two golden earrings. His eyes bore the characters "Lower Moon Three," a clear indication of his rank as one of the Twelve Demon Moons.

"Two pretty girls, huh? Eating girls is often more nutritious!" Lower Moon Three sneered, his voice filled with amusement.

Mitsuri's response was immediate, her body shielding the injured Shinobu. Her grip on her blade was firm, her resolve unwavering.

Lower Three's response was a sneer, his hand extending to reveal a flame pattern. "Blood Demon Art. Flame Whip!"

The flame pattern began to condense in his hand, eventually forming a long whip of fire. He swung his flame whip, the fire flying towards Mitsuri.

Just then, a hand reached out and grabbed the flame whip. Lower Moon Three turned to see a man in a black leather jacket, his body bound by a heavy chain.

"Jotaro Kujo?!"

Mitsuri's surprise was evident, her voice filled with shock. But her shock quickly turned to relief. Despite their previous unpleasant encounter, she knew that he was also an enemy of the demons.

Jon's response was swift and precise. He squeezed his hand, and the flame whip disintegrated into a few weak sparks. He then removed the chain from his body.

Lower Moon Three's anger was palpable, his voice filled with rage. "You bastard, since you let my meal escape, I'll just have to eat you!"

Jon's response was a smile, his voice filled with amusement. "Let's see who eats whom!"
