Chapter 14: The Battle of Kanabi Bridge

As everyone reached the exit gate, Ryu, Kushina, and Minato stood together. Kushina and Obito playfully exchanged banter, their words harmless and full of camaraderie.

Ryu: "Bye, Onee-chan."

Team Minato arrived at a grassy field and gathered around a large rock to discuss their plans. On the way, Rin presented Kakashi with a customized Medic kit, Minato gifted him his iconic Kunai, and I offered a powerful paper bomb-infused kunai in its sealed mode—an important weapon for Kakashi's promotion to Jonin.

Obito didn't offer any gifts, which surprised everyone.

Minato explained the mission details regarding the Kanabi Bridge and Iwa's transport plans. Obito was clearly annoyed about Kakashi being the captain, but Minato assured them it was a decision made for good reasons.

As the team ventured into the dense forest of Kusagakure, they encountered enormous mushrooms along the way.

Ryu: "Captain Kakashi, there are 18 enemies ahead, but most of them are shadow clones."

Obito and Rin were astonished at Ryu's keen perception.

Minato: "Good job, Ryu."

Kakashi: "Sensei, can I take them down while you provide cover?"

Minato: "Kakashi, don't be hasty. How about I take them on, and you cover me?"

Kakashi persisted, reminding Minato that he was the captain, and the members must follow the captain's orders.

Kakashi quickly activated Chidori, and Ryu followed suit, activating his Sharingan and Swift Release.

Together, Kakashi and Ryu unleashed their powerful Chidori.

Amazed, Team Minato watched as Kakashi and Ryu worked in unison, displaying incredible skill and coordination.

An Iwa shinobi taunted them, but Ryu swiftly moved forward, impaling him with his Chidori.

The successful teamwork and coordination between Kakashi and Ryu impressed Minato, and he felt proud of their growth and potential.

Kakashi: "Let's move, team."

Team Kakashi and Minato parted ways, Minato heading to the battlefield.

As Team Kakashi moved forward slowly and steadily,

Ryu: "Captain, there are two Iwa shinobi - one at 3 o'clock and the other at 10 o'clock."

Kakashi: "Nice, good observation."

The Iwa shinobi were exposed as they engaged in combat.

Ryu sparred with one of the Iwa shinobi while the other attempted to kidnap Rin.

Ryu didn't want to alter the plot too much and remained focused on the mission.

Obito: "Damn it, they took Rin."

Kakashi: "Obito, forget it, let's focus on completing the mission."

There was a conflict between Obito and Kakashi, with Kakashi prioritizing the mission's success while Obito was determined to save Rin.

Ryu: "Captain, I have a suggestion. Let me set bombs while you and Obito save Rin and prevent her from spilling any mission secrets."

Obito: "Ryu, you think Rin would betray us?"

Ryu: "It's not about trust, Obito. It's about being realistic in this harsh world. Sometimes, a genjutsu is enough."

Kakashi understood the meaning behind Ryu's words, having lost his own father.

Obito: "What are you blabbering about?"

Ryu went ahead with the mission, not listening to Obito's protests.

Ryu activated his Sharingan and took a mission-required bomb.

He prepared a demon windmill shuriken with 500 paper bombs implanted in it and threw it towards the bridge.

Ryu: "Kanabi Bridge, where the gods do not help. It's going to be KABOOM, art is a powerful explosion!"

The bridge started to explode as 50 paper bombs detonated ten times with double the power.

The sound of the explosion killed ten Iwa shinobi.

Unexpectedly, backup arrived for the Iwa shinobi.

Ryu used his Eye of Mind to detect fifteen more Iwa shinobi.

Ryu: "Fire Style: Wind Style: Great Combo Tornado!"

The massive jutsu destroyed the Iwa shinobi's mud wall and injured two of them.

Ryu activated his Sharingan and Swift Release, engaging in a shadowless fight.

Helplessly, the Iwa ninja's bodies were chopped, leaving only one survivor to tell the tale.

Ryu: "The name is Uchiha Ryu, Uchiha's Divine Dragon. Run if you want to live. Run and cling to your pitiful lives."

With the sound of sword slashes, Ryu chopped off the shinobi's hand, leaving only his right hand to eat and survive.

As Ryu completed the mission, he went to check on Rin and Kakashi. If he had a chance, he would also look at the defeated Obito .

As Ryu completed the mission, he hurried to the location where his Eye of Mind had shown him.

Kakashi was bravely protecting Rin amidst 17 Iwa shinobi.

Ryu: "Multi-shadow clone Jutsu!"

Ryu created 17 shadow clones to engage the Iwa shinobi.

He then decided to test his new B-rank technique, the Shadow Clone Explosion Jutsu.

The 17 Iwa shinobi were left badly injured after facing off against Ryu's clones, and when the clones exploded, everyone, including Kakashi, fainted from the intensity of the battle.

After Minato arrived to check on their condition, he carried them away, declaring the mission complete.

Soon after, Ryu was astonished to find that his Sharingan had evolved into three tomoe, a clear sign of his growing strength and mastery over his Uchiha bloodline.

With the destruction of the Kanabi Bridge, the intensity of the war with Iwa diminished somewhat. However, Ryu's actions had not gone unnoticed. His name appeared in the Bingo Book, a list compiled by Iwa shinobi, and he was given the title of the "Divine Dragon," adding to his reputation.
