Final Steps

Wanda: Slow down. Wanda, tell me what's wrong.

"The Scarlet Witch... she's going to absorb Lia's powers... she's gonna kill her... I NEED TO SAVE HER!"

I got up.

Wanda: Wait, but how do you know where-

"I got a vision. A vision of her. Can't you understand? She's in danger and we need to-"

I felt something burn on my palm. I looked at it and a rune, just like the one Lia made me draw on my hand appeared.

"I have to go."

Wanda: Wanda wai-

"THERE'S NO WAITING! My friend is about to die, and she needs all the help she can get."

I walked to Wanda.

"Help me."

Wanda looked at me sadly.

Wanda: I can't. I'm sorry.

I looked at Wanda, then nodded.

"Thanks for the lesson."

I started to walk away.

Wanda: You never learned the secret to controlling your powers.

"I know. But I don't think I have to."

I walked back into the house, and into the bathroom. I locked the doors. I looked in the mirror and to my palm with the rune. I took a deep breathe before I put my palm on the mirror, and a hand reached out of the mirror and grabbed me, pulling me inside.

I was pulled into another realm. Fires everywhere, a hellish landscape. I saw a ball of Chaos Magic and I followed it.

I followed the magic as it led me to a castle. I walked on the bridge and to the castle. By the gates, I saw a sign that read: Castle Darkhold ; Home of the Demon Chthon

I walked in the dark palace, and as I entered, I heard a voice.

Scarlet Witch: You shouldn't have come here.

I turned to see an astral projection of the Scarlet Witch.

Scarlet Witch: You have guts, I'll give you that.

"Where's Lia?"

Scarlet Witch: Why does it matter to you?

"She's my friend."

Scarlet Witch: I can't let you take her. I'm sorry.

Suddenly, a blast of Chaos Magic hit me. I got sent flying back and crashed to a wall. I looked up to see the Scarlet Witch.

Scarlet Witch: YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE COME!

The Scarlet Witch snapped, and suddenly, duplicates of her appeared. They all then shot out Chaos Magic which bounded my arms. A puff of red smoke appeared and the real Scarlet Witch appeared.

Scarlet Witch: Had you not been so stubborn, only your friend Lia would have died. But then, why refuse more power?

The Scarlet Witch started to absorb my powers. I felt the magic starting to leave me and I started to feel weaker and weaker as each second passed by. If only someone could come to-

Wanda: HEY! Leave her alone!

The Scarlet Witch turned to see Wanda.

Scarlet Witch: Who are you?

Wanda: Hands off, variant.

Wanda's head tilted, and Chaos Magic started to form around her hand. The Scarlet Witch laughed.

Scarlet Witch: You think you can-

BOOM. A blast of Chaos Magic hit the Scarlet Witch in the face. Her duplicates disappeared, her spell broke, and I fell to the ground.

Scarlet Witch: Fine... so be it.

The Scarlet Witch formed a ball of Chaos Magic and slammed it to the ground. Red magic flowed from the floor to the wall to the ceiling. Suddenly, the palace shook, and out the shadows came giant demons, and with a puff of red smoke, the Scarlet Witch disappears.

Wanda and I stuck together as we started to get surrounded by the demons.

"What do we do?"

Wanda: You need to find your friend.

"How?"

Wanda: The Darkhold.

"I don't have-..."

Wanda: Wanda, THIS is Castle Darkhold... the original copy of the Darkhold must be here, find it and find your friend!

Wanda took a deep breathe and knelt down to the ground. She formed a big energy ball of Chaos Magic then let it out, sending a shockwave which sent the demons flying back.

Wanda: COME ON!

I followed Wanda down the hall into a library. Wanda opened the doors.

Wanda: GO! I'LL BUY YOU SOME TIME!

As I went in, Wanda slammed the door shut, and locked it with Chaos Magic.

Wanda stood guard in front of the doors. She heard giant footsteps approaching, and she smiled.

Wanda slowly knelt down to the ground, and put her hands on the floor. The palace began to shake, and Wanda simply smiled.

I ran through the library, quickly searching for the Darkhold. I found it on top of a shelf, and I opened it. I was quickly flipping through the pages, until I found it. A spell to take me to where Lia was.

I was going to run out when, I had this feeling, this urge to keep looking. I slowly went to the next page and that was when I found it. The chapter in the Darkhold dedicated to me, the Scarlet Witch.

I couldn't believe what I was reading. The Scarlet Witch is the master of Chaos Magic, a being capable of spontaneous creation and destruction. The Scarlet Witch's powers exceeds that of even the Sorcerer's Supreme.

It is her destiny to destroy the MULTIVERSE.

I closed the book, scared of what I just saw when I felt the floor shake and heard screams coming from the door.

I walked to the door and opened it to find the hallway, filled with demons fighting corpses. Corpses with their eyes glowing red.

Red glowing eyes.

I looked to where I knew this was coming from, Wanda.

Wanda: GO! SAVE YOUR FRIEND! I'LL HOLD THEM OFF!

I nodded at Wanda and shut the doors to the library. I followed the instructions in the Darkhold and a portal opened up. I took a deep breath as I stepped in the portal.
