"It's highly unlikely. Maybe he started his own Daily Planet in our world," Tony Stark said.
"That's also unlikely," Natasha Romanoff said. "Does Superman have such a deep connection to the Daily Planet? Would he go and start one in another world?"
"I was just saying," Tony Stark shrugged. "Don't take it seriously."
"But if Superman really came to our world, our days would be much easier," Sam Wilson said. "With him around, someone like Thanos would be a piece of cake for Superman."
"If he's here, Hela wouldn't have to worry either," James Rhodes said.
"Who is this Superman you guys are talking about? Is he really that powerful?" Thor looked bewildered, not knowing who Superman was at all.
"You can read the comics. Superman is known as the God among men, the strongest combat power on Earth for sure," Sam Wilson said.
"God among men?" Loki questioned. "Is he on par with gods?"
"The title 'God among men' might not be appropriate," Tony Stark said. "Comparing Superman to gods is an insult to him. In front of Superman, even gods are just little brothers." He looked at Loki. "Someone like you, he could just blow on you and you'd be dead."
"Tin man, blowing me away in one breath? You really underestimate me!" Loki exclaimed angrily.
"Underestimate you? No no no! Loki, you can read the comics. I'm not making a metaphor here, I'm stating a fact. Superman blowing on you could really kill you," Tony Stark said.
"He probably won't be able to blow me to death, Tony." Phil Coulson said, "You forgot Loki is a Frost Giant, he should have strong resistance to cold."
"There's some truth to that," Tony Stark said.
"So if I weren't a Frost Giant, I'd be blown away by one breath? I'd like to see how powerful this Superman really is," Loki said.
"Alright, are you guys done with your imagination?" Nick Fury reminded them from the side. "Even if Superman is that powerful, even if he really exists, he's not in our world. What's the use of being powerful? Wake up, everyone!"
"Cough cough, let's continue analyzing," Tony Stark said.
"The Wall Street Journal, that can be ruled out. First, this media outlet is paid, I don't think anyone would spend money to expose Peter's identity, right?" Phil Coulson continued, "And this newspaper mainly reports on business and financial news."
"The New York Post, that's one of the oldest newspapers in American history, founded in 1801. It's one of the most important newspapers in New York," Clint Barton said. "As for this Horn Daily, I've never heard of it."
"I know," Phil Coulson said. "It's a small newspaper, not much influence."
"But even a small newspaper could expose Peter's identity." Natasha Romanoff said. "Maybe their reporter got lucky and accidentally captured Peter's face."
"Peter, it's up to you to choose. We can only analyze up to this point," Steve Rogers said to Peter Parker.
"Big newspapers have more reporters, so the chance of them capturing me is higher." Peter Parker said, "I choose A!"
[Answer wrong! Deduct one year of lifespan!]
Answer wrong.
"So, it's Horn Daily that exposed Peter?" Natasha Romanoff said. "A low probability event happened."
Not long after, the space began to play a video.
At the beginning of the video, the mysterious guest Quentin Beck flew to the side of a building and said to Nick Fury, "I came as soon as I received the news. I circled the entire city and didn't find anything."
"Damn it," Nick Fury said.
"The pulse is getting stronger." Maria Hill said, staring at the computer screen.
"I'll go take another look." Quentin Beck flew away.
"Any discoveries, report in." Nick Fury said. "We're counting on you, Beck."
"In case it really is as I thought, all we can do is pray for God's protection, Fury. May God bless all of us," Quentin Beck's real body stood on a bridge and said.
The guest who flew to Nick Fury just now was just an illusion.
"Alright, now that the Avengers aren't here to interfere, we can begin," after finishing his act with Nick Fury, Quentin Beck said excitedly.
"Edith, display the target for elimination." After giving the order to his companion, Quentin Beck turned to his glasses and continued, "Once the performance starts, I'll give the command for you to begin targeting."
"Understood." Edith acknowledged.
"Alright, let the show begin, and let's save the world." Quentin Beck said.
Under the high-tech of drones and holographic projections, another catastrophe erupted.
Huge waves surged from the water, dozens of meters high. Dark clouds covered the sky, lightning flashed, and thunder roared. A colossal, ominous cloud face formed in the sky, resembling a prehistoric beast, appearing above the city.
Chaos reigned on the scene.
"This is a disaster that befits the Avengers' standards." Quentin Beck looked up at the terrifying sight in the sky and said contentedly.
Peter Parker's teachers and classmates were fleeing frantically.
"That can't be real, that can't be real," Ned muttered as he ran.
"It looks more real than real!" Michelle Jones exclaimed.
"Look, the mysterious guest is here, he's here to save us!" With this shout, everyone turned their eyes to the sky. They saw a figure flying rapidly through the air, trailing long green smoke. The figure flew in front of the monstrous creature and raised its hand to launch a green attack at it.
"Wait, if the mysterious guest knows that we know..." Michelle Jones suddenly realized a crucial problem.
"Then we're in danger." Ned also realized it and quickly fled with Michelle Jones.
"I'm here to avenge my family!" Quentin Beck played his role vigorously, standing on a bridge and delivering the well-prepared lines, "Fury, you'd better go to a safe place. I think this battle is more dangerous than auspicious."
"Thanks for your concern, but I never leave my comrades behind." Nick Fury watched the scene, holding his arm.
Quentin Beck at this moment still didn't know that Nick Fury had been alerted by Happy and knew about the act.
"Beck, report the situation." Nick Fury cooperated well and asked.
"All the elemental entities have merged into some other substance, more powerful, and are absorbing energy from the Earth's core." Quentin Beck continued to fabricate.
"Listen to what nonsense he's spouting." Nick Fury said to Maria Hill.
"That's..." Maria Hill suddenly noticed a figure descending from the sky, landing in the midst of the stormy cloud.
Who could it be other than Peter Parker, the not-so-little Spider-Man?
"Prepare everything." Nick Fury also saw Peter Parker and ordered.
"Okay." Maria Hill turned and left.
Peter Parker descended from the sky with a spider-shaped parachute. When he landed above the water surface, using his suit's gliding capability, he rushed towards the cloud formation.
"This is fake, this is fake, this is fake." Muttering to himself, Peter Parker rushed inside.
From the outside, it was a smoke-like creature engulfed in flames rampaging and roaring. There was no flaw to be seen, and it was deceptively real.
But from the inside, numerous drones floated in various positions, emitting beams of light, much like a 3D printer in action.
"Oh, impressive." Peter Parker surveyed the situation and then jumped onto one of the drones, using his webbing to link them together.
"William, the drone formation is disrupted." Peter Parker was causing a ruckus inside, and Quentin Beck immediately noticed.
"Maybe a few birds crashed into them, nothing to worry about." William didn't think much of it.
"I need to see what's inside. I need manual control." Quentin Beck was more cautious. He saw through the screen on his arm that Peter Parker was jumping around on the drones and causing trouble.
"Is there something inside?" William was still asking.
"There is." Quentin Beck harbored killing intent, "I'm going to kill him."
"Hopefully, this works." Peter Parker connected a large number of drones with his webbing, then conducted electricity through the webbing. Electric currents surged through the webbing to the drones, causing them to malfunction one by one.
As a large number of drones were destroyed, the illusion couldn't be maintained anymore. The massive monster's body started disappearing bit by bit, and the blue light emitted by the drones' attacks was clearly visible.
"The show's over, Beck." Peter Parker hopped around on the drones, charging toward Quentin Beck.
"Edith, protect me." Quentin Beck remained calm.
"Understood." Edith replied.
At this moment, Peter Parker had already arrived above Quentin Beck, but a drone suddenly swiped at him, accurately hitting Peter Parker and knocking him down.
At this moment, Happy appeared. He landed a sleek plane in front of Ned, Michelle Jones, and the others.
"I'll take you out of here, get on the plane!"
"Who are you?" Michelle Jones asked.
"I'm Spider-Man's colleague, alright?" Happy said. "Get on the plane quickly."
Happy was completely unaware. Quentin Beck stood on the bridge and had a clear view of his arrival.
So...
Swoosh!
Two projectiles shot over, and the plane was directly blown up.
"Change of plans, take cover in the Tower of London." Happy quickly led several students towards the Tower of London for evacuation.
"Happy, are you okay?" Peter Parker in the distance asked with concern.
"We're fine, you go catch Beck." Happy said.
However, Quentin Beck wasn't so easy to catch; he had too many drones.
"Edith, catch Spider-Man." At Quentin Beck's command, the hovering drones descended from the air, chasing Peter Parker and bombarding him recklessly.
"I'll personally kill those kids." Quentin Beck went after Michelle Jones and Ned.
Compared to Peter Parker, Quentin Beck was just an ordinary person. But with Edith and the swarm of drones, Peter Parker was being chased haphazardly.
Luckily, Peter Parker had danger precognition abilities, allowing him to dodge the attacks in the midst of the flurry, avoiding being hit. If it were any other hero, they would probably have been turned into Swiss cheese by now.
Even so, Peter Parker was eventually blasted into the water by Edith's sonic attack.
However, with the power of sound waves came the power of sound waves. Leveraging the sonic impact, Peter Parker leaped from the ground to the bridge, seizing Quentin Beck.
"Your lies end here, Beck." Peter Parker lay on the bridge, holding Quentin Beck by the collar.
"The outcome indeed isn't ideal, but I've also left a trick up my sleeve." Quentin Beck remained composed, "Edith!"
Boom!
A drone that had been suspended there fired at Peter Parker, sending him flying.
"Hand me the glasses." Peter Parker stood up, coughed a couple of times, and said.
"You want these?" Quentin Beck held the glasses and said, "Then come get them!"
Drones flew towards him.
Instantly, the surroundings changed. It was pitch black, with nothing except Peter Parker.
The last time this move was used, it had tormented Peter Parker greatly, causing him to be hit by a train.
Would the same move work a second time?
Would Peter Parker fall for it a second time?
"Please, Peter... be clever." Peter Parker took a deep breath and rushed forward.
This time, things were different when he made his move. Although he still saw the illusion created by Quentin Beck, "Peter, be clever" could tell him where the real attacks were.
He seemed like a prophet, effortlessly grabbing drones from thin air and precisely evading bullets.
In this manner, Peter Parker charged through, unstoppable, towards Quentin Beck.
"Why aren't the drones attacking?" Quentin Beck, standing at the bridge's end, grew anxious.
"You're within the attack zone, the likelihood of getting hit is..."
"No!" Before Edith could finish, Quentin Beck shouted loudly, "Command all drones to open fire!"
Whizz, whizz, whizz!
The drones immediately unleashed their full firepower, causing Peter Parker to retreat under the fierce assault.
However, that was as far as it went.
Peter Parker quickly charged forward again, taking down all the drones.
Quentin Beck, that reckless individual, finally tasted the consequences of his recklessness. He was truly hit by the drone's bullets and lay on the ground.
"Beck!" Peter Parker removed his mask, ran over, and said, "You deceived me, I trusted you so much."
"I know, that's also the most disappointing part." Quentin Beck lay there, saying, "Peter, you're a good person, that's also your vulnerability."
"Stark didn't misjudge you." Quentin Beck held Edith's glasses and handed them over, "You're qualified to wear these."
Peter Parker looked at Quentin Beck, but unexpectedly, his hand suddenly extended to the side.
