Chapter 29: The Arrival of the Green Hulk

"Let's look at the question!" Phil Coulson spoke up. "The background of this question is the Battle of New York, and based on the information we know now, there were two gods involved in that battle. One was Loki, and the other was Thor. Thor is on our side, so I believe the phrase 'weak god' refers to Loki. Someone defeated Loki and said that line."

"So at least the options should include someone who can defeat Loki," Clint Barton scanned the four options in the question. "Who among these people can defeat Loki?"

"The answer is simple," a voice rang out, and it was Thor, holding his arm. "It's me."

"Crybaby, now is not the time to boast," Tony Stark said. "Getting this question right earns you the qualification to wield the hammer, which you probably need."

"I'm not boasting. Loki is a god that Earthlings can't withstand," Thor said confidently. "And I am a powerful god, much stronger than Loki. So the answer to this question must be me!"

"Don't be so sure, Thor. You know nothing about the Hulk and Iron Man," Clint Barton interjected. "Although I haven't seen future videos myself, based on Natasha Romanoff's description, I believe Loki is not unbeatable. Tony Stark once sent Loki flying with his armor, so Iron Man has the potential to defeat Loki. As for the Hulk..."

"The Hulk?" Thor chuckled. "I have defeated giants several stories tall. Is this so-called Hulk really that formidable? Regardless of who this Hulk you're talking about is, there's no way they could be stronger than me."

"As someone who was taken down by an electric weapon, you're awfully overconfident," Tony Stark casually shattered Thor's smile with a single sentence.

"Didn't you say that in the future, I will fight alongside you? That means my powers will definitely be restored!" Thor suppressed the urge to kick Tony Stark in the face. "Once my powers are restored, who on Earth can be my match? That so-called Hulk, I can suppress him with just one hand."

"Thor, don't be too hasty. Let's analyze carefully..."

"No need to analyze. The answer is obvious," Thor didn't even wait for Phil Coulson to finish. He immediately gave his answer. "I choose option A, Thor the God of Thunder!"

[Answer Incorrect! One year of life deducted!]

The mechanical voice sounded, instantly slapping Thor in the face at the speed of light.

When Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark had their lifespans deducted, their bodies shook and their faces turned pale. But Thor showed no reaction at all, as if nothing had happened.

"My life force... it seems to be truly fading..." Thor, however, felt the passing of his life force within him.

My own lifespan has indeed been shortened.

Of course, for someone like the God of Thunder, a one-year reduction in lifespan is nothing at all.

But this sounded an alarm for Thor. In this quiz space, you can't answer questions casually.

Combined with Phil Coulson waiting for him in New Mexico and Tony Stark mentioning his defeat by an electric weapon, although Thor still tried to appear strong, he had already acknowledged the fact that the quiz space captured glimpses of the future.

"It's a pity. You've lost the quickest way to wield the hammer," Tony Stark spoke up after Thor answered incorrectly.

"That is something that belongs to me, and I will eventually pick it up," Thor remained undeterred.

"Thor has been ruled out, and we know nothing about Doctor Strange, so let's not consider him for now," Clint Barton said. "The answer lies between the Hulk and Stark. Stark, you're Iron Man. Do you think it could be you?"

"It's not me," Tony Stark denied directly.

"Do you consider yourself unable to defeat Loki?" Phil Coulson asked. "Stark, that's not like you."

"No, what I mean is, if I defeated Loki, why would I say such a 'gentle' phrase like 'weak god'? I would say something that would make Loki ashamed and kill himself on the spot," Tony Stark shrugged. "So, it's not me."

"That makes sense," Phil Coulson nodded repeatedly.

"I can't argue with that," Clint Barton also agreed.

"So, the correct answer should be the Hulk," Tony Stark looked at Thor. "Not you."

"I don't know if it's the Hulk," Thor responded, "but it definitely isn't you."

Light illuminated the space, and the scene began.

It started with the figure of Clint Barton, sweeping his bow with both hands, knocking down a Chitauri soldier and pulling out an arrow from behind, forcefully embedding it into the Chitauri soldier.

"That's indeed a Chitauri soldier," Thor said in a deep voice.

Among the quiz participants, only he knew what a Chitauri soldier looked like.

The camera shifted, showing Natasha Romanoff wielding a staff-like weapon, taking on two Chitauri soldiers alone and defeating them.

Captain America, dressed in his star-spangled suit, also launched shield attacks.

But more and more Chitauri soldiers were pouring in from all sides.

Crackling sounds filled the air.

At that moment, a series of thick lightning bolts descended from the sky, reducing the Chitauri soldiers to charred remains.

In the sky, a figure descended, bathed in lightning, exuding a majestic presence. No, it wasn't just an illusion of majesty—it was a god.

Thor, the God of Thunder!

"Did you see it? Did you all see it?" Thor was so excited that he cried. "That's me! That's me!"

"So, you can actually summon lightning," Tony Stark couldn't help but give Thor another look. Thor had appeared in videos before, but this was the first time he displayed such supernatural abilities.

"I'm an expert in lightning," Thor said proudly.

"Why would an expert in lightning be..."

"Stark, can you please stop asking that question? Consider it a favor owed to you. Is that alright?" Thor was utterly defeated.

"What's happening up there?" Captain America approached Thor.

"We can't penetrate the energy surrounding the Tesseract," Thor said.

"Thor's right. We have to deal with these guys first," Tony Stark's voice came through the video, but he didn't appear on the screen.

"What do we do?" Natasha Romanoff asked.

"Teamwork," Captain America said.

"Loki and I still have unfinished business," Thor said.

"Is that so?" Clint Barton, fiddling with his arrows, spoke up. "Then, you'll have to wait in line."

Both Clint Barton and Tony Stark in the quiz space knew what that meant. It was undoubtedly because Loki had previously controlled Clint Barton with the Mind Stone.

"Loki will undoubtedly concentrate his forces to deal with us. If we eliminate him, they'll be thrown into disarray. Stark is in the air, and he needs us..." Captain America's words were interrupted by the sound of a motorcycle approaching from behind.

Captain America turned his head and saw an unremarkable middle-aged man on a motorcycle slowly approaching.
