Chapter 13: Iron Man Again

"I don't think it's likely to be me," Natasha Romanoff was the first to express her opinion. "Although I don't understand the principle behind Loki's scepter controlling minds, Barton fell under its influence. Barton and I are similar in many ways, so if he couldn't resist the Mind Stone, the chances of me resisting it are also very slim."

"Romanoff, before you use this elixir, I hope you can provide me with some samples," Nick Fury suddenly spoke up.

"Why, do you want to study this?" Tony Stark couldn't help but ask.

"If we can successfully replicate this elixir, it could be a big business opportunity," Nick Fury said in a deep voice. "Whether it's dealing with the Chitauri or Loki, I need to be prepared in advance, and that requires a lot of money. "Stark, how about you take on the research and development?" Nick Fury suggested. "Among the scientists I know, no one is more brilliant than you."

"I don't have the time. I only have two or three years to develop new armor to deal with the Chitauri. I can't afford to allocate too much energy to other things," Tony Stark replied without hesitation, directly refusing. "Besides, this isn't my field of expertise, which means I would have to invest more time, and the one thing we can't afford to waste is time."

As he said that, the space turned black, and a new image appeared.

A glowing cube, occasionally emitting beams of energy-like currents, appeared. It was the cosmic cube that Loki had stolen.

But this time, the cosmic cube was installed on a launching device.

The device was familiar to everyone; it had appeared in the previous video. At that time, Natasha Romanoff had used the Mind Stone to close the portal that the Chitauri used to invade Earth. The launching device at that time was identical to the one in the current video.

"The establishment and maintenance of a portal require tremendous energy. I was curious about what provided the energy for the portal, and it turns out to be the cosmic cube," Tony Stark said, staring at the cosmic cube in the video.
