Seaside Village Predicament

　Rei traveled between the ruin with great interest, ever since he transmigrated into this world, he had developed a new hoby, that was to stroll around whenever possible.

　everything was fascinating to him, if it was the Rei from earth surely its impossible to traveling around under the sunlight. so, he cherished this moment wholeheartedly.

　Rei walks took quite a long time, after he satisfied his curiosity towards the ruins, he finaly decided to returns and check on how far Apis has progressed, his title "the Patron" gave his disciple and descendant an obvious boost when learning ninja techniques.

　Rei wouldn't be too surprised if Apis could learn how to walk on water within a month even with his lingering concerns, could devil fruit user walk on water? Rei shook his head as the devil fruit users would be weakened if they body parts "submerged" underwater. the key point here was "if submerged", so Rei thought Apis would do just fine walking on it.

　the ruin stretched out as far as his eyes could see. however, right on the midday he felt increasingly bad premonitions about something, as if something bad would happen. and yet, Rei didn't know where the feelings came from. and so, immediately after he cut off his explorations short, and began to walked back towards the seaside village.

　 Rei didn't know why, he felt right now he needs to headed there immediately. Rei increased his pace in order to calmed down his agitated heart, Rei thought even if his bad premoniton were false, at the very least he would make sure everything was fine by his own eyes.

　just like usual, Rei leaped throught trees and rocks in quick pace until,

　'baaang....!'

　with his enhanced hearing, Rei could heard the sounds of gunfire quite far from his current position! when he determined the source, his countenance turned increasingly grim!

　the gunfire sounds came exactly from the seaside village direction! with increasingly bad premontion he felt, Rei raised his pace to the maximum!

　on the way over there, Rei could hear several other gunshot! gritted his teeth Rei run like a madman! he took out his Chōkuto from the inventory and just simply cut down everything which happens stood on his way.

　5 minutes ago...

　the seaside village chief watched with grim face as the men residents being gathered at the sandy beach by arrogant armed marines, he had no idea what the marines would get from gathering them up like this.

　thankfully he and the other men succesfully hide their women and children somewhere safe albeit sudden. everyone in this water knew what would happen if the notorious bastards from 8th branch took fancy towards their women.

　 the fierce muscular looking village chief looked towards the marine seemingly in charge of the operation.

　he also noticed the grand fleet of 8th branch marine base were mooring at their coastline complete with their cannon ready and aimed at the Island.

　"i understand admiral, yes, yes. don't worry." the officer in charge cut off his ko-denden mushi and looked towards the men gathered from seaside village.

　armed marines encircled them in the middle as if they were within something like execution ground.

　with arrogant expressions the officer in charge sauntered and stoped right in front of the village chief.

　"good afternoon, i believe you're the village chief?" the officer spoke while raising his eyebrow.

　"yes, what's your noble purposes coming to my humble village, Mr.officer?" nodded the village chief.

　the officer smirked and glanced towards the other men, "don't worry chief, our purpose is only one, do you know about the little girl living here? the dragon girl?"

　the chief frowned and shook his head slightly, "i believe i don't quite understand your question Mr.officer."

　"ah, my bad. around 7 years old, she's blonde, has brown eyes and wore long mustard yellow dress."

　hearing his description, the chief still couldn't reckon such girl existed within his village.

　"terribly sorry Mr.officer, but i have no recollection of such girl."

　the officer squinted his eyes, as he smirked while opened his hands wide.

　"is that so? of course you won't know about her, even i can see no girl here, where's your women and children village chief? i don't believe theres only men living in your village right?"

　the men gulped, as they saw the armed marines surrounding them rised their riffles towards them.

　just when the chief wants to give the officer an explanation, the officer spoke first,

　"several days ago, this girl could be seen asking about 'dragon nest' in harbour. i believed such weird little girl would come to your attention?"

　the chief seems recalled several days ago when Apis walking around and asking the villagers there about the existence of dragon nest, at that time everyone laughed her off telling her to stop searching as the dragon only exist in legend.

　Apis appearance fit the officer description, however, the village chief didn't know about her whereabouts exactly.

　noticing his expression, the officer smirked arrogantly, "so, you knew about her."

　"i do remembers that little girl, unfortunately i don't know about her wherabouts."

　'BANG!'

　as soon as the chief voices fell, one of the marine behind the arrogant officer pulled the trigger aimed at the old man chest!

　"VILLAGE CHIEEF!"

　"CHIEEEF!"

　the men villagers couldn't believed of what they saw, they witnessed as the muscular old man fell on his knees and crumbled on the sand with bullet hole on his chest!

　the agitated men couldn't help but yelled in desperation, however no ones moved from the spot! as the rest of marines still had them within their aim.

　the marine officer shook his head seemingly in pity, clicked his tongue he asked towards the rest of the villagers,

　"what a pitty, that was not the answer i wanted," he glanced towards the rest and continued, "....anyone else knew? i would appreciate it, if somebody start talking."

　the men jolted in trepidation when they saw the cruel officer sauntered in front of them while asking them one by one, suddenly one of the young man raised his hand while visibly shaken.

　"hmm?" the officer noticed him immediately, he smiled while gesturing towards the young men to step forwards.

　"a fine young man, do you have any information for us? i'll appreciate it if you do. however, if you don't.." his voice trailed off as he motioned the young man to see their lifeless body of the chief.

　the young man nodded like a chicken pecking the rice, he answered in stammer, "i, i know about her, her name is Apis, she has grandfather named Bokuden, they lived in hillside village quite far from here."

　hearing his explanations, no men villagers rebuke him. after all, their villagers life are more important than unknown little girl.

　the officer smiled menacingly, and asked him more, "is that all? anything else? does she mention anything about dragon nest?"

　the young man thought for while, and he shook his head indicating the fact he doesn't know more.

　the officer tapped his shoulder making the later flinched a little. soon after the young man heard the officer spoke once again,

　"very good. now, young man, do you know where's this hillside village?"

　the young man nodded.

　"then, would you be kindly enough to show us the way towards the hillside village? we're the guests after all." the officer smiled.

　"i, i can show you sir. but my fellow villager...?" his voiced trailed off when he saw the officer put his finger up shushing him.

　"them? don't worry, now lets go to that hillside village young man." the officer grabed the young man shoulder and forced him to walk side by side.

　the young man frequently looked back towards his fellow villagers, noticing his behavior, the officer gestured towards his marines crew.

　all of sudden, the marines pulled the trigger towards the defenseless villagers without warning!

　'BANG! BANG! BANG!'

　"AHH!"

　"WHY MARINES? WHY?"

　"STOOP! PLEASE SHOW MERCY!"

　the sounds of gunfire and the pleading cry of the villagers could be heard loudly on the shore! the young man petrified on the spot as he saw the marines massacred his fellow villager without mercy!

　"why? WHY DID YOU DO THIS?" engulfed in pain, the young man yelled towards the smiling marine officer besides.

　"they have no value, they don't have any information, so of course they have no value left." the officer shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly, as if he was not talking about the innocent human life.

　"now then, lets go!"

　'clack'

　the officer pulled his gun and pointed it towards the agitated young man, however just when they starts to walk.

　'BOOOOM!'

　'SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!'

　the gunfire stopped abruptly, the officer paused and turned around only to see a glowing Chōkuto slashed towards him!

　'slash!'

　'thud!'

　the young man besides him watched in horror as the officer headless body slumped down while still pointing his gun towards him.

　just when he wants to see who was the one who did it, the marines at the beach could be seen no longer pointing their riffle towards the villagers! their face now paled beyond belief as they pointed their riffle aimlessly around, seemingly looking for a target.

　after hearing the gunshot, Rei with his maximum speed traveled so fast to reach the seaside village, just right when he arrived, he witnessed in disbelief madness happening over there, the marines which should be protecting civilians now shooting at the innocents nonchalantly!

　they shots the riffles wantonly towards the helpless villagers! the adult villagers tried to shield their young one, the young ones could be seen petrified without knowing what to do, the more experienced villagers pulled the person closest to them and ducked down on the sand trying to hide in seemingly helpless situations.

　without any words, Rei dashed towards the closest marine and swung his Chōkuto down! the unsuspecting marines were immediately cut in two!

　at first the rest of the marines didn't noticed, however when Rei began his slaughter, they starts to panic!

　Rei was so helplessly enraged, is this what marines supposedly do? is this how they should act? whats the difference between them and the pirates then?!

　without remorse, Rei dashed here and there massacred the marines back! at that moments he didn't realize there was a tint of red appeared on his silvery eyes.

　8th branch marines mothership.

　"sir, you need to watch this." said one of Nelson's officer.

　he put the binocular end on Nelsons eye carefuly, Nelson paused his meal when he saw what happened currently on the beach!

　"that bastard! man the cannon! aim at him!" Nelson's yelled on top of his lungs, their failure a few days ago still lingering on his mind.

"but sir, we just deployed more additional boats to came ashore!" said the officer once again.

　'Pang!'

　Nelson slapped away the binocular, he glared menacingly at the officer making him flinched.

　"I . SAID. MAN . THE CANNON!"

　the officer gulped, he immediately saluted towards him and said,

　"AYE SIR!"

　"i want him dead!" Nelson gritted his teeth full of hatred.
