Chapter 3: Void

Ro was being carried by a river ' Man last fight was good but I wasn't done yet ' moving his hands in the air and looking at them 'Well I guess you guys did your best ' his body had done its best to stay in any sort of shape before IT happened, so he was quite grateful.

' Guess this is it hope I get into a full family in my next life ' Crossing his feet and getting into a comfortable position Ro prepared himself for a long ride maybe losing his memory and slowly getting cleansed or something like that. He wasn't a big traditional guy, so he didn't know what to expect in the afterlife.

but a sudden emerge of a sucking force startled Ro and pulled him into the vacuum ' Goddammit ' was the last he thought before blanking out.

Ro woke up in a world full of white nothingness he wasn't surprised having experienced from many movies he seen he expected what the afterlife would look like many times before IT happened but it was a little disappointing if his personal hell was a white nothingness it was just boring.

Just as he got up with his best suit and about to walk into the forever whiteness Lee called out to him " Ro come here where are you walking that's just endless nothingness "

Ro was surprised to see Lee just sipping tea in a Japanese kotatsu with mandarin relaxed as he could be "So Lee i didn't know you were the manager of my afterlife can I get something to drink " Lee smiled and waved his hand and a canned Dr.Pepper was created in front of him

Lee finished his tea "I m not your afterlife manager sounds like hell to be fair this space is the place where quote "GODS" life and after IT happened we both died I was sent here first and talked to a recruitment manager and filled out a form and I recommended you and you passed."

Ro couldn't believe what he was hearing as he cleaned his ears and slapped Lee hard

Lee took the slap like he expected it and slapped Ro back hard after being slapped Ro shook his head "I guess it's really true I feel pain"

Lee peeled his mandarin "isn't feeling pain more suitable for whether you're dreaming or not" asked as he waved his hand and the empty cup was filled with hot tea again

Ro sat down and started peeling a mandarin as well " Feeling pain isn't about being in a dream or not feeling pain means you're alive and being alive is pretty cool, and how did you do that the tea thing is it a superpower Walt.. you got superpowers" questioned Ro with shining eyes

Lee smiled and said "No the manager just gave us temporary access to this place while the big boss comes "

" what do you mean the big boss don't tell me Gods use gang hierarchy like us"

" no the manager said it in a way for us to understand easier so it came out like that likely who we are going to meet is the boss maybe an actual God or something like that "

"Cool so I can just imagine my clothes to change into" As he said that his clothes poofed into a smoke transforming into a blue magenta colored 3 piece suit

" Nice always wanted to wear this right before IT happened but it was too colorful "

" You should have just worn it whats gonna happen after IT nothing that's just a regret building up in your afterlife and when you become a ghost youre gonna hunt people with nice suits prompting them to wear the suit since anything can happen in their life " said Lee while sipping his oolong tea

" First of all i won't become a small haunting spirit I would be a cool fashionable spirit second of all the magenta color didn't suit the mood like they prepared their clean white suits ready you had a black suit if i had worn it i would feel out of place "

Forgetting that a literal God was coming Lee and Ro chattered sitting in a Japanese kotatsu they created the drinks and food they wanted and were having a lot of fun when a voice sounded

"Having fun are we? didn't expect you humans to be so relaxed I thought you would be a little more nervous"

Ro and Lee were confused that the voice didn't come from a single direction the voice sounded from everywhere and nowhere they couldn't figure out how that happened when Lee squirmed with a headache

Then the voice changed form with a twist of reality a 10 or maybe 11-year-old small girl appeared the girl had black hair and blue eyes and looked just like how a normal kid would look and she sat in the kotatsu and started peeling the mandarin

Just as Ro and Lee were about the ask a question the girl stopped them while peeling a mandarin "I know what you wanna ask who am I why are you here why I have chosen you"

Ro interjected "No you're peeling it wrong if you do it like that the flavor will drop you're spilling the juice "

The girl looked at her messy mandarin and gave it to Ro "You peel it then now listen "

Ro slowly peeled the mandarin and slowly fed the girl with the mandarin and many more snacks while the girl explained many things to them

As for her words, she is a primordial Goddess or something like that and she's quite young born a few decades ago and her parents were super caring, too caring in fact and she had everything she ever wanted prepared for her deciding it was enough and rebelling for her independence she acquired a world backway ( illegal way )

Ro fed her a snack "So Gods sell worlds backway as well wonder how much earth was worth"

The girl interrupted "No world like your last is more of a rare one it doesn't have any essence to be worth anything most worlds are created by themselves with the influence of Primordian Chaos and Primordial Creation in fact every world is born like that but you the world was born without the essence so it developed in the science way "

Lee asked "So if humans can develop into the spaceship and intergalactic ways they can hop between worlds "

"I don't know but no matter what humans do they would forever be powerless before a God because of the absence of the Unique essence it's missing the humans are unable to breach the crystal wall of worlds that was both good and bad ways "

Lee raising his eyebrows ate a snack and gave her KitKat to eat " what's the good thing since we don't have it we cant travel the world isn't that just a bad thing "

The girl happily ate the KitKat and gestured for more " good thing is there are no inner deities or pseudo gods in your world because there is no essence and other worlds won't be able to breach your world its like your world is secluded you can't reach outside and outside can't reach you and there are no deities so humans can develop as they see fit "

Ro created a small burger and pushed it toward to girl "I get it but what does it have to do with us being here and you meeting us to be fair I thought i was here for something different " coughing to remember a time he thought it was his personal hell or something like that

Lee agreed and ate a hotdog

The girl bit the small burger and looked at Ro and Lee "Your world is under protection so those idiots would have no influence on you that's why i chose your world "

Ro finished eating his Ramen seeing Lee finish his pizza asked "So why are us 2 here even though we were part of a gang but I don't think we are at the level to directly work for a god

While Lee was imagining what snack to create and eat next the Girl giggled "You're only saying that because you don't know what kind of world I m sending you into I don't need anyone with a godlike power I just need someone that can look after my world while I am away

Lee asked after creating many Japanese and American snacks he had seen on tv "Forgive me if it seems ignorant but won't you be able to look after the world from anywhere I thought gods could see everything at once "

The Girl sighed "That's the thing but there is a thing called Will even if someone can see everything they can't focus on everything at once all the time if I focus on this world my Will leaves a mark that my parents can detect and I don't wanna be scolded by them buying a world backway is plenty risky if i get caught i will have to study even more "

Ro and Lee have already given up trying to understand the common sense of a God so they chose to eat the white space allowing them to eat endlessly tasting delicious food and snacks

Lee wiped his mouth "So what's your mission, order, bestowal for us do we just need to maintain order or do you have any bias "

The girl ate a dorayaki and thought for a moment before looking away answering "Kinda i guess I'm expecting something bad to happen to the world so "
