As time passed Perseus was now 15 years old and he was Eru's first grandchild, and while his features surprised some of the Valyrian's, with his black hair and sea-green eyes, Aerion, Amphiterite, and her parents disregarded it. They recognized that this child was a demigod, and as he grew up, he displayed strength, speed, and dexterity beyond that of normal humans.
Perseus was aware of his heritage and kept it quiet. He was a happy child who didn't care about others' opinions, and he even visited his grandfather, Eru, from time to time.
Due to Ulmo's responsibilities as a god, he couldn't spend as much time with his son as he would have liked. Thus, Perseus was primarily raised by his mother, but Ulmo made an effort to spend as much time with him as he could.
Naturally, when Perseus turned 14, he developed abilities connected to his father's domain.
- Hydrokinesis: Perseus can control large volumes of water, lifting up to 10,000 gallons and using it for various purposes such as drying objects underwater, extracting water from moist substances, creating oxygen bubbles, propelling himself through water, summoning waves, and manipulating water to explode or grab objects.
- Water Solidification: Perseus can increase the surface tension of water, solidifying it to create shapes, allowing him to walk on water and create a strong water shield. He can also shape water into giant hands that mimic his own movements.
- Hydrogenesis: By concentrating and summoning the "force of the ocean" within him, Perseus can create water, although it requires significant energy and focus.
- Water Empowerment: When in contact with or near water, Perseus gains enhanced clarity, strength, speed, agility, and endurance. However, this boost is temporary unless he is fully submerged in water.
- Water Immunity: Perseus is unaffected by water pressure when falling from great heights into water. He remains dry when submerged unless he chooses to get wet. Additionally, he can breathe underwater indefinitely and see in the dark underwater.
- Toxikinesis (limited): Perseus has some control over poisons and other liquids that contain water content.
- Cryokinesis (limited): Perseus can manipulate frozen or icy water to a certain extent.
- Vitakinesis (limited): Perseus can heal most wounds and cure poisons when in contact with water, but the amount of water and time required depends on the severity of the injury.
- Heat Immunity (limited): Due to his father's nature, Perseus has increased resistance to heat burns.
- Watercraft Manipulation: Perseus possesses an innate understanding of any ship he is on and can telekinetically operate sailing vessels and similar boats.
- Perfect Bearings: Perseus always knows his exact nautical coordinates, enabling him to navigate the seas effortlessly.
- Instinctive Understanding of Sailing: Perseus has an intuitive grasp of sailing, knowing which ropes to hoist, which sails to raise, and which direction to steer. He can even sense their speed.
- Atmokinesis (limited): Perseus has limited control over weather, allowing him to summon storms and miniature hurricanes, albeit at a significant cost to his energy.
- Aerokinesis (limited): Perseus can summon strong winds, which enables him to create miniature hurricanes.
- Geokinesis (limited): Perseus can utilize water to manipulate the earth around him.
- Communication: Perseus has divine authority over his father's subjects, allowing him to communicate telepathically and verbally with equines and sea creatures who treat him with respect.
- Zoolingualism (limited): Perseus can understand and communicate with marine animals, equines, and similar creatures, who treat him with respect.
These abilities began to manifest as Perseus embraced his divine heritage.
Perceus stood before the ornate fountain, his fingers trembling with anticipation. With a focused gaze and a subtle gesture, he summoned tendrils of water that gracefully spiraled upward, glistening in the sunlight. As he extended his palms, the liquid threads responded, intertwining and merging into a shimmering mass that began to take the form of a dolphin.
The water rippled and contorted, mirroring the sinuous grace of a living creature. Droplets hung suspended in the air before cascading down like a liquid mane, creating the illusion of flowing motion frozen in time. Perceus's brow furrowed in concentration as he meticulously refined each curve and contour, infusing the aqueous sculpture with a lifelike vitality.
As the dolphin's form solidified, Perceus's hands moved in gentle, fluid arcs, coaxing the water to evolve. With a surge of power, the aquatic masterpiece burst forth, hovering above the fountain's basin. Drops of water fell like rain, only to be caught by an invisible force, creating a magical cascade around the levitating creature.
But Perceus wasn't done. His focus intensified, and with a subtle shift of intention, the water beneath the dolphin transformed. It grew denser, fiercer, reshaping itself into the sleek silhouette of a shark. The intricacies of the shark's form were astonishing, down to the meticulously etched gills and the menacing gleam in its liquid eyes.
With a sweep of his arm, Perceus sent the dolphin and shark into motion. They weaved through the air, an aquatic ballet choreographed by his imagination. The dolphin leaped and twirled, leaving trails of mist in its wake, while the shark glided with a controlled power that demanded respect. Water arched and curved as the two forms danced around each other, defying gravity in a mesmerizing display.
Amphiterite saw her son's performance and stood in awe as the garden became a theater of liquid artistry.
Perceus lowered his hands, his energy spent, but his heart elated.
As the sun dipped toward the horizon, casting an amber glow, the water creatures gradually merged back into the fountain, dispersing into individual droplets that rejoined the basin.
Amphitrite's applause rang out, a proud acknowledgment of her son's impressive display of abilities. "That was amazing," she praised with a wide smile.
Returning the smile, Perceus glanced around and inquired, "Isn't father coming?" His words held a tinge of anticipation, given the ongoing Valyrian festival.
A soft sigh escaped Amphitrite as she replied, "He did mention he would join us. Yet, you know how vital his godly responsibilities are."
Perceus's expression dimmed slightly, a touch of sadness evident, though he comprehended the significance of his father's duties.
Amphitrite broke him out of his thoughts and said"Come on, we have to meet your grandfather."
