A team effort

With all three of its effigies destroyed, the Devourer had no way of resurrecting itself upon death. Though it was still a formidable foe to confront inside a cave, its main advantage had been negated.

Xander had done his best to keep the Devourer busy, but ever since it sensed its effigies had been destroyed, it became increasingly aggressive. The Devourer was now rampaging across the cave, bashing its rocky walls and stomping the ground with its sturdy feet.

The Devourer was still trying to find the culprits who were responsible for destroying its effigies when Abigail emerged from the shadows. 

"Don't stay still!" Xander shouted just in the nick of time.

Alerted by the Dreamwalker's words, Abigail turned into a shadow and moved to another location just as thorny black vines erupted from the ground.
