80 - Living Conditions

The three sat together and enjoyed their meal while peacefully listening to the live music being played.

The three didn't talk, instead they focused on enjoying the amazing meal in front of them.

With every bite taken warmth spread throughout the two's bodies, as the mana from the meat was absorbed.

Increasing the strength of not only their mana but also their physical body, as the mana flowed throughout them like a pleasant massage.

The three finished their meal, although both Michael and Victor did feel stuffed and full, as the amount of mana from the meal was a little too much.

Violet smirked seeing them like this, as she knew that this meal was a little too much but still she wanted to not only see this sight but to also make sure that they'll have enough energy for their first class in two days.

And seeing them bloated she knew that the two will be getting some excellent sleep tonight as their bodies try to absorb the mana and nutrients from this meal.

Meaning that it was mission accomplished and it was time to wrap this all up, after all it was nearly time up.

She handed over her school ID to one of the waiters to pay for their meal, after getting it back she stood up to leave but smiled helplessly when she saw that both boys were lethargic.

"Come on, we've still have to unpack your stuff and get you both settled in." Violet tapped both boys on their shoulder each catching their attention.

She fully could understand why both were like this, as she probably shouldn't have let them eat such a meal yet but oh well.

Right now their bodies are doing their best to absorb the energy and mana from the monster meat so you could say they are lacking energy for everything else right now.

Unfortunately she couldn't enjoy this funny sight as she has to get them back in time for their curfew.

While tapping them she injected some of her mana to help they break down and absorb the abundant nutrients and mana within them.

"Come on let's go." Violet smiled as she watched them stand up, turning she left leading them down the stairs and out of the restaurant.

From there the three walked under the soft street light towards the housing area.

"How do new students know that there's a curfew for them?" Michael asked seeing all of the other new students still not in uniform hurriedly making their way to the dorms as well.

"Well it's written on those pamphlets handed out, as for if you're are still out after curfew, you won't really get in to trouble as the curfew is there for your protection really. So you'll usually get repumended or given a punishment at most."

"Why is it there for our protection?" Victor asked as he couldn't think of any reason why.

"Oh that's simple, you see that's because you new guy's haven't been fully registered by the security system yet, and well the other reason is that we don't want you guy's to be part of the competition yet." Violet grew a small evil smirk at the mention of the 'competition'.

"As for when you guy's won't have a curfew, that's after you've started classes and have gotten your uniforms and school IDs."

The surroundings slowly changed as they entered the housing area, as they started to pass by luxurious houses and apartment buildings.

"Students housing isn't all the same, some are extremely high end and magnificent but they are only reserved for the top students, you'll find that most are mediocre or just straight terrible." Violet smiled playfully obviously not telling them everything.

"There's only three ways to improve your living conditions at this school, the first is getting onto one of the rankings but good luck with that." She paused giving them a look over, as she covered her mouth to hold back a chuckle.

"So that only leaves the over two, that's to either rent another place but that costs a lot of points. So you're left with the last option, to join a club that has a club building and move in there."

"Then where do you live?" Michael looking around asked.

"I live in my own private villa that I've earned through my own pain staking efforts. I would show you guys but I'm afraid you'll both become jealous and will refuse to leave." She teased Michael happily with a smug face.

"Alright then! Which one is yours then, huh?" Michael's eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

"Oh you think those are worthy of me? Dream on these aren't even that good when compared to my living conditions." Her face only grew more smug.

"What? But these houses are huge, not to mention grand. How can where your live be better then this!?" Michael immediately didn't believe her, after all the houses and apartments in this area had to be worth a tone.

As they were even better then any of the villas in Spring City, so how can there be better living conditions then this for students???

"Ha, even though these places are pretty good from your perspective, they're nothing much really. As even though they're big and have a tone of facilities, they don't have any advantages outside of what a normal villa has.

But my villa has its own training and meditation rooms, a pool, large garden, sauna, games room, entrainment system, hot tub, literally everything you don't and would need. Not to even mention the mana concentration that improves training, and the rare materials the hose is made of."

Violet puffed out her chest as she bragged, making stars shine in Michael's eye's. Victor on the other hand was taken aback that the school could afford to have such housing for students no less.

"There's even more benefits but i don't want to rot your spirit, so I won't continue." Pride oozed from her like thick honey as she spoke like an arrogant heiress.

"But you two might not even have a change at seeing such a magnificent housing as mine your entire tenure here at the academy." Victor could swear that her nose grew longer as she faced the sky with her eyes closed, growing longer with every arrogant word, but it must of been his imagination.

But even still her face remained haughty, which let's be honest currently ruined her beautiful face in this moment.

"Really Big Sis? Is it really that amazing?" Michael on the other hand didn't seem to share Victor's thoughts as his eyes were instead filled with wonder and worship.

"Yep, that's right. Not just anyone can stay in such a place and of course it would only make sense for someone such as I, to meet the requirements." Violet proudly said soaking up Michael's praise.

"Your awesome!" Michael's words only made it worse, making Victor pinch his brow.

"Anyway I feel sorry for both of you, as new students housing is well.... Quite terrible, it doesn't even have a bathroom." Violet face slightly fell at the memory of when she became a freshman as well.

"But I'm sure you'll both get better accommodations if you both work your hardest together." She gave them both a comforting pat on the back.

"The trash.. cough, freshman dorms is this way." She stopped her self mid sentence upon being looked at by both boys and changed her wording as she continued.

Feeling embarrassed she quickened her pace though, forcing both boys to hurry to catch up.

As they advanced the surrounding accommodations started to get worsen by a whole level, but even then they still looked like paradise when they entered the third area.

"Why did it worsen so much?" Michael asked as if the second area looked like normal well maintained apartment buildings, then the third was full of cramped apartment buildings.

"Well as I said earlier, the level of housing is dramatically different from each other, there are 5 levels of accommodation here. With 1 being the best and 5 being the worst."

"Level 1 is where I live, it's made up of large villas that have only the best living conditions and On top of this it's is also the closest to the rest of the school.

Level two is made up of small villas and large houses, which also has its own benefits. It's also the first area we walked through earlier." Violet pointed behind her.

"Next is level three which is made up of apartment buildings as you've both just seen, their still really good especially when compared to this area around us now.

As this area has the most people living in it, it's literally no different from your usual university dorms as not only is it a single room but you still have to share with others.

Oh and I forgot to mention that you also have to pay to live here, in fact the last area is the only one you don't have to pay for or earn the right to live in." Violet said pointing up to one of the duplexes.

"Wait you have to pay to share a room with others?" Michael did a double take in shock.

"Yep, privacy is a luxury here, that's why people want to live in the level three or higher area. But even then this area is still way better then where you're both staying." Violet said as if it was obvious.

"How bad is level five then?" Victor was the one to ask this time as he frowned.

"Well even through you have to share a single room as well, it's well let's say more of a cardboard box in size. As it only big enough to fit two beds in each room, in fact your super lucky Michael as you don't have a room mate." Violet smiled as she gave Michael a hard smack on the back praising his luck.

"What do you mean by, it's only big enough to fit two beds?" Victor asked not liking the sound of her words as a sense of foreboding spread within.

"Well we're here so you can see yourselfs." Violet said looking forwards, if the previous area was basically your normal large school dormitory, then this was a concrete jungle.

As the buildings were grouped together incredibly close together creating a sense of suffocation.

The whole place was grey and bleak without any sense of feeling, much like a prison.

"Come on, your in building 4." Violet lead them over to one of the buildings, entering it didn't even have a lobby, instead it only has stairs and rooms immediately.

"Let's see you're both on the second floor, that's really lucky, when I was living here I was in building 2 on the 23rd floor." Violet checked their room number once more before heading up the grey stairs, passing by other freshman and students who lived here, completely ignoring them.

Let's see this is your room Michael." They stopped in front of room 12 as she gestured for Michael to open it.

He stepped forwards and used his room card to unlock the brown wooden door, pushing it open they saw inside.

It was a tiny room with only enough room for a small walk way in-between two beds, there was literally nothing else other than the beds.

No wardrobe, sink, toilet, table or desk. It was only two beds with area to store your things under them...

"This, this is shit!" Michael said with widened eyes.

"Ah this brings back memories." Violet on the other hand sat down on one of the small hard beds with memories in her gaze.

"Well anyway I'm glad it's you guys and not me." Suddenly she stood up as she clapped her hands.

"So let's get your stuff unpacked shall we." Immediately she started to take Michael's stuff out of her storage ring, placing it all onto one of the beds.

"Luckily for you both, you don't own much otherwise you'd both be screwed." She dusted her hands lightly as she smiled.

But the room was still immediately further cramped by Michaels stuff.

"Well we'll leave you to sort your stuff and put it under the beds, as I can't stay in this dump, cough here for too long." She waved at Michael before dragging Victor out of the room.

To his room which wasn't that far away as it was only a few rooms down.
