Inside the car, Edward drove while Ethan sat beside him as he continued to check the rearview mirror more occasionally than usual.

Edward noticed his actions and said, "Will you stop checking the rearview mirror all the time like it's going to disappear anytime soon. Erika is here and she isn't going anywhere," he tried to ease Ethan but the latter glared at him instead.

"Will you mind your business and just watch the road?" He demanded and Edward immediately shut his mouth.

Ethan looked at the rearview mirror again and this time, he made eye contact with Erika. Her blue eyes sparkled under the sunlight and he couldn't look away from them.

"I understand how you feel but don't worry too much, I won't leave your side," she promised with a smile.
