Cleared Misunderstandings

SONIC'S POV

"No!! She must have gone somewhere!!" I grabbed my head.

"Sonic, we will find her, okay?" said Tails.

"Its all because of that green hedgehog!!" I punched the wall with my fist.

"Sonic! Calm down! I am sure she is okay!" said Amy.

But how was I supposed to calm down! T-That green hedgehog named Scourge or what, must have taken her!!

"Should we ask Eggman? Maybe he had seen her?" said Tails.

"No, we can't trust h-" I quickly ran to Eggman's Lair without listening to Amy.

And Shadow ran beside me.

"I am worried about her too." He said and we both ran to Eggman's Lair.

Soon. . .

"Eggman!!" Shadow and I kicked at the door.

"W-Wait!! Sonica is not here!" said Eggman hurriedly.

"How did you know we were going to ask about Sonica?! Is she with you?!" I asked angrily.

"No no no!! Even I haven't seen her!" said Eggman.

Shadow growled.

"Then where is she?" I grabbed my head.

Its all my fault! I should not have agreed to meet at the forest! It's her fault too! Why did she want to meet in the forest in the first place!? Why?! Why?! Why?!

"Why does your lab look like something exploded?" said Shadow.

I didn't realize when had he gone inside the lair.

"Umm..failed experiments of course." said Eggman a bit nervously.

He was definitely hiding something!!

"Are you sure Sonica was not here?" said Shadow in a very deep angry voice as he was holding a blue quill in his hand.

Eggman gasped, I quickly ran to Shadow. IT WAS SONICA'S QUILL!!!!

"She was here! What did you do to her! And where is she?!" I shouted.

"S-She's not with me. S-Scourge... Scourge took her with him." said Eggman as he gulped.

"Hahhh!!! Scourge Scourge Scourge Scourge!! Who is this Scourge!!" I shouted again.

I had no idea why I was so angry and so worried!! Eggman backed away as I shouted.

"Scourge was Sonica's friend...but now they are enemies. We don't know more than that." said Cubot while hiding behind Eggman's leg.

"But where is she?!" I asked angrily.

"I don't know where Scourge took her!" Eggman said.

Scourge was hurting Sonica back then... He might hurt her again!!

"I will deal with you later, Eggman. Come, Shadow." I growled and we ran out from the lair.

"Sonic, any sign of Sonica?" asked Tails from the communicator.

"Noo!!! No no no no!!" I cried but without any tears.

"Isn't there a way to track her?" asked Shadow.

"No. I could track her through her communicator but her communicator is broken.." replied Tails.

"There must be other way to find her.." I thought to myself and looked around. I felt like I was going to burst into tears if I didn't find her!!!

"Sonic, look!" Shadow pointed to a bush and there was another quill!!

There were a blue and a green quill too!! I quickly ran to that bush.

"Sonica has to be around here!" I said.

Shadow nodded and we both walked to the forest through the bush.

SONICA'S POV

I growled at him and said, "You will pay for this."

He smirked and yawned, "Aww, I am scared. You can't do anything, Soni. You are under my control. It was a good decision to take you out from that metal lair."

I growled again but my ears flattened as he was right... I couldn't do anything because he had tied me on a tree and my hands were tied behind my back, even my legs were tied! He tied me up when I was unconsious! I could...break the tree but I still hadn't gained my energy after all that lab incident.

He smirked and he placed his hand on my cheek. I growled and bit his hand.

He chuckled, "You haven't changed yet, Soni. But you have got weaker."

He said the last line in a deep voice with a smirk.

I clenched my fists and growled. He smirked and he cut my cheek with a sharp dagger. It was just a minor injury for me. But then he stabbed me in my stomach. I gasped and tears rolled down my cheeks. He tugged my quills and forced me to look at him. Then he licked the tears from my cheek and smirked.

"Look how miserable you are. But you will be all fine after 24 hours." He smirked.

"Why are you doing this.." I asked in a weak voice..

"Oh you should have thought before betraying me." He smirked.

"When did I betray you.." I coughed and some blood came out of my mouth..

"Oh, Soni. Your memory is so weak." He said.

I glanced down then I fixed my eyes on him.

"Hmm... From where should I begin? Oh let's just begin from the start or the readers might get confused." He smirked as he continued to speak, "Few years ago. . .

-- Flashback --

Do you remember how I met you, Soni? I found you asleep on a bench of a park. We were both just kids at that time. You didn't react much but your eyes could tell that you had faced something terrible.

I stayed by your side even though you kept pushing me away. I used to notice how lonely you were and how hard you were trying. The common fact was that we both were homeless and alone. We would never be friends if I hadn't shared that small cookie with you. We both were hungry, I used to steal food while you used to act like you didn't have feelings.

Then, one day... I saw you running away from people in a very fast speed. But..those... people were...throwing pebbles at you.. I followed you and saw you crying at the edge of the lake. Your fur was glowing. I slowly walked beside you but you moved back quickly as if you were scared of something.. After so many times you finally calmed down and then we introduced ourselves to eachother.

Days past, I used to bring you food daily, yes, by stealing. And I taught you to steal. With your speed it was impossible to find out who stole the food. And as we were homeless, we used to stay under a tree when it rained and during the other time we roamed around the city. It used to fun.

Few months later, you told me about Professor, Eva and your powers... But I still supported you. You used to watch the children go to school. And then we started to steal some books as well. You sometimes used to use your powers at me but just for fun.

After 4 years our friendship had grown stronger and deeper. We had even made our treehouse on our favourite tree. Sometimes you used to cry by remembering Eva and then the weather would get stormy/ windy. We used to fight over small things but I used to let you win in the end. And we were impossible to catch when we stole something. Whenever people found out about your powers, we used to change cities from one to another.

I did everything I could so that you wouldn't feel lonely. But...then suddenly you started to ignore me... you started to get so arrogant. Whenever I tried to talked to you, you would just...ignore me or talk so badly with me. We started to fight over small things creating a bigger mess. Y-you acted like you didn't care about me. Then one day...

It was your birthday and I was so excited but still! You showed me very rude arrogant behaviour. You started to use your powers at me in a rough way. You burnt down our treehouse. I still tried o calm you down. But you hit me with fireballs again and again. And we both started fighting, I was furious too. You hit me very hard and I returned every hit to you. But then your hand started to form a black aura and then... You gave me this scar on my chest..

Before I could even stand properly, you ran away.. "I hate you!!" I heard you shouting...before you went away..

That's how I developed hate towards you, Soni. Why did you do that to me?!" Scourge growled.

I looked down.

"Answer me!" He growled and squeezed the wound of my stomach, making me scream in pain.

I looked at him while breathing heavily. "I...know we were best friends.. All those years I was happy with you but then my powers grew more and more. I couldn't control them anymore. People hated me for that and called me cursed. They een started to call you bad things... I hated it.. And it would even risk your life so I pretended like I hated you.. I wanted you to hate me so that you would stop coming after me.. because the more you would stay with me the more your life would be in danger..." I looked down while panting.

"And... after a few months I saw you on the street with so many girls, you had changed completely. When I thought of talking to you, I heard you say to those girls that "There was a chick named Sonica. I really hate her. Thank god she's gone now." And I decided to walk away. That's when I actually started to hate you. I know it was my plan to make you hate me but...I still felt the hate deep inside.." I said leaned my head against the tree while whimpering as my stomach hurt more.

He growled, "Do you think I will believe that story of yours?"

I tried to speak but I felt like I was loosing breath..after all he had stabbed me in my stomach.

"I know you won't believe me... But it's the truth. After shifting so many places.. I...came here...where I met Sonic and.." I stopped talking when the pain in my stomach got worse.

My breathing got more heavier. My clothes were all bloody.

I saw that his gaze had softened and his voice had also softened.. "But still...Sonica, I-"

Suddenly he got hit by someone and he went flying through 3 trees. It was Shadow! And Sonic was there too!

"Sonica!!" Sonic quickly ran to me and placed his hands on my cheeks. He looked at me up and down with a worried expression on his face. "Sonica.." he sounded worried and he started to untie me.

"S-Sonic..." I whispered then my gaze fell on Scourge who was getting beaten by Shadow.

"Shadow, No! Don't hit him!!" I shouted.

I felt myself trembling when Sonic had untied me but he held me in his arms.

Shadow stopped and growled, "Why not?! Look what he did to you!"

I looked at Scourge who was panting because of Shadow's punches.

"It was just a misunderstanding..I am okay." I said but I felt weaker and weaker.

"Are you insane?! You have lost so much blood and you are saying you re okay?!!" Shadow shouted.

I shuddered as he shouted so loud. Why does it hurt so bad when your own ones shout or scold you..?

"Shadow, enough.." said Sonic as he kept holding me in his arms.

He glared at Scourge. I felt like I couldn't handle anything now.. I felt like I was going to die... "S-Sonic.. Shadow..." I closed my eyes and then I passed out.

SONIC'S POV

"Sonica.." I whispered as she passed out in my arms.

"She will be okay after 24 hours." said Scourge while looking down.

I glared at him. But I couldn't waste any more time so we quickly hurried to the hospital.

- Time skip -

I and Shadow were sitting on the chairs beside her bed, others were standing. "Sonica.." I whispered and gently stroked her quills.

She was still unconscious. There were bandages on her forehead, stomach, arms and knuckles... I signed and looked down.

"Sonic, tomorrow's her birthday. Let's give her a surprise party. She might feel better..." said Amy.

My eyes widened. I had forgotten about her birthday! "Oh yes!!" I stood up but the nurse and doctors in the hospital shushed me. "Yes. We are going to make it as awesome as we can." I whispered.

They nodded. Then I heard Sonica whimpering, I softly held her hand to calm her down.

"I, Knuckles and Sticks will do the decorations. Shadow, Tails and you will arrange the food, music, cakes and all." said Amy.

We all nodded. "Let's go shopping now. We will buy her some gifts.." said Amy again.

"I want to stay here with Sonica." I and Shadow said in unison and we looked at eachother.

"You can go. I will stay with her." we said again in unison.

"You both can stay." said Amy.

We nodded.

Then, they went shopping while I and Shadow stayed by her side.

"Listen, faker, I know we were enemies before but now we are not. That does not mean we are friends. I just... Promise me that you will take care of her.." said Shadow as he sighed.

I nodded and said, "I promise."

He looked at me and asked, "By the way where did that green hedgehog go?"

I shrugged and said, "I don't know. Maybe he ran off somewhere."

I looked at Sonica, she was breathing softly but still unconscious and I sighed.
