There was never a time Dominic would ever wish to be just like any other child. But tonight, he wished that he could've simply trusted his uncle, Leon. He wanted to trust Leon and believe everything the latter had told him.
'That's right.' Dominic hugged his knees tighter, eyes on the dirty, dusty floor. 'There's no way Uncle is involved in my abduction. He wouldn't do that to me.'
Dominic nodded to himself, losing count of how many times he repeated those words since Leon left him alone in this room. He couldn't hear anything outside, so he would constantly glance at the shut door.
'He'll be okay, right?' he wondered to himself, assuming Leon was already negotiating with his abductors. 'He will be. Uncle Leon has his way with words that he's the only person that can calm Dad down, aside from Mom.'
