Jacob, you are my son. It doesn't matter that you don't have my blood," Ethel said sorrowfully. From the look on Jacob's face, it was obvious to her that he already discovered the truth.
Jacob was heartbroken. He expected to hear something different. He expected to be proved wrong but not for his mother to admit that Robin was indeed right. Thus, Jacob felt played and his heart was heavy.
"So, it's true. How could you do this to me? How could you tear me away from my family?" Rage boiled inside of him as he looked closely at the woman he had known all his life as his mother.
Ethel was pathetic. She knew that what she did was wrong but she didn't regret it because of the profound love Jacob showed her.
