The First Practice Class

Elijah no longer avoided Damian, and their ordinary lives returned after that. So far, the academy had only taught Elijah the concept of magic and had not allowed anyone to try their magic. Elijah didn't protest much because the concept of magic made him understand more about his magic. But for those who had understood the basic of magic since they were little, the few days of indoor lessons were boring for them.

Special class students were mostly students who loved magic more than anything else. So after a week of indoor lessons, the special class finally started to protest massively and ended up getting their first practical lesson.

In the same arena where the previous one-on-one test was held, all the first-year special-class mages were gathered in one place. Coincidentally, first-year practice magic lessons coincided with the third-year special class students. So, a brilliant idea came up, which made the first-year students practice with the third-year students.

"Alright! The third-year homeroom teacher can't make it today. So I, the first-year homeroom teacher, will supervise you completely. This class will be a practice class. In other words, you will fight each other in this arena."

"The first-year students are in charge of reflecting the third-year students' attacks, while the third-year students are in charge of attacking the first-year students with your magic. Please keep in mind that third-year students can only use one type of magic in this lesson. Your opponent is a first-year student, so I consider this a leniency for the first-year student."

Anya said in front of everyone with excitement and got cheers from the third-year students. They probably thought this battle would be a one-sided victory for those who studied longer than the first-year students, even though they were only allowed to use one type of magic. Third-year students may be at levels 41 to 50 on average. But in the first year, they have Sofia, who is now at level 40. Sofia's magic abilities are also more diverse because she has unlimited access to magic books whose unit prices are so expensive. So, in terms of strength, the girl should not be far behind the third-year students.

Of course, most first-year special class students were probably only in the range of level 21 to 30. Even so, for Elijah, who was used to fighting someone stronger than himself, the task of just bouncing their attacks was not difficult, especially since their homeroom teacher had also emphasized that third-year students could only use one type of magic.

"But before fighting, I want the first-year students who don't know Magic Shield to approach me first. I'm sure you already know that magic books don't disappear if someone already knows the magic in the book."

The first-year students queued up in an orderly manner, including Elijah, who didn't have Magic Shield yet. The book immediately disappeared when Elijah finished absorbing the knowledge in it. It's true. Since ordinary mages are not as agile as Elijah, who is an expert in physical skills, Magic Shield seems to be a must-have magic for mages.
