The toxin was spread through a herb, and in the dish I was served, the leaves were garnished at the end for an eye catching design. If it hadn't been for Oliver's quick senses, I might've gone and made things worse.

However, the herb did carry a particular scent, it wasn't very potent, it's lethality layed in how hard to detect it's scent was. However, once you do get close enough to perceive it, the scent becomes more recognizable.

"See." Amanda pointed out, pulling a drawer and revealing a freshly plucked batch of the toxic herb, just laying there in a kitchen drawer she just so happened to pull open.

Steve looked completely stunned, "I'm in charge of cleaning for this week and I swear Alpha that I've never seen this before." he declared too hastily, admitting to something that could stand to implicate him further.
