FERRAN JONATHAN (II)

MARTHA'S POV

"And who the hell are you, nincompoop, referring to as little Jordans? We have also warned you never to refer to our sister as fingerling bro. Don't you get these simple things Johnny?" asked Seth. A storm was brewing and I had to go downstairs…now and fast.

"What are you doing here Ferran?" asked Michael in a cold tone.

"Came to pick up the fingerling!"

"I see you have no fear for your life. You are in our territory bro and we could teach you some manners you failed to learn!" continued Michael.

"I would love to have this back and forth conversation with you but I and the fingerling have a session in thirty minutes" said Ferran. He was really trying to get to them…that is never a good thing!

I always wondered why my dad never interfered whenever they began to argue. He just stood there and…yeah, smiled. As I got down the last step, I saw my dad, his arms folded and a smile on his ageing handsome face.

"Fingerling!" screamed Ferran, immediately he noticed me. He rushed to engulf me in his usual bone crushing and soul reviving bear hug but before he could reach me, he was met with an angry looking bear like men instead. My brothers were standing before me and him and angled their heads in a form of questioning and dare. They wanted to know what else he would do.

"That's enough boys!' said Daddy Two as he emerged from the kitchen with Marcus and Lily behind him. They immediately relaxed their shoulders and turned to face him.

"Good day Sir!" greeted Ferran with his head bowed. His haughty character was immediately humbled.

"When would this feud end?" asked Daddy Two with his hands behind him as he walked closer to us.

"Never!' said Michael and Seth simultaneously, though in a soft tone. They still had their senses with them. After All, they were in the presence of Sir Martin.

"You guys should just stop this!" I said as I separated the barricade of bodies which were my brothers that stood in front of me, with my hands.

The reason why they hated each other was my dad's fault. My family had gone for a family jog on a Saturday morning and my dad had stopped to talk to Ferran's dad, who is also a member of the organization. My brothers had left me and stopped by a field where girls played volleyball and were more interested in the rise of the skirts of the girls as they jumped to play, pass or catch the ball than the game itself. I had continued my jog and had been focused on meeting the quota I had set for myself for the day.

Three boys had somehow joined me in jogging but they jogged behind me and with music in my ears, I didn't really take notice of the fact that I was being stalked. As I jogged in an alley that leads to the main road again, they cornered me.

One rushed to my front and stood before me. The way he stopped before me, I was brought from the realm where music had me. I removed my ear pods from my ear and looked behind me only to behold two men that were smirking evilly. Horny imbeciles!

"I really don't have the time to dance with you guys right now. May you excuse me?"

"Oh love, too bad we have all the time in the world. Why don't you be a good little bitch and bring your body close, huh?" said the one before me. I looked closely at him and noticed a scar by the side of his face. The scar ran from underneath his eye to his jaw…he looked scary and hideous!

"You want us to redo the make up you have on I guess?" I asked as I tucked my phone further into my joggers before zipping it. Now I am ready!

He walked towards me, expecting me to move back startled but I regained my ground. I was out of breath and strength because of the run but I was not that girl I used to be.

He arched a brow in surprise when he noticed I maintained my stance. This must have irked him up because the next second, he slapped my cheek..hard. I was not expecting that in the least.

I was expecting him to go for the kill, probably try to touch my boobs or draw me closer to himself but I got nothing like that.

This one was definitely a brutal demon. His minions that were behind me guffawed at my predicament. Oh, they have no idea what is coming for them.

I rubbed my cheek and knew it was a tantalizing bright red and this had my blood boiled up. I gave him the death stare before I threw a straight kick up the side of his head. He also was not expecting that and he dived to the direction my kick had projected him. The laughter of his minions died at once as they saw him crash into a pile of trash. This brought a smile to my face.

"Now you and the trash have become one. I'm happy for you fool! Trash and trash should stay together" I said with a small laugh and made to continue running but the standing men had other ideas. One drew me back by my shoulder and as I turned, the other threw a punch at my belly. That hurt like hell and involuntary tears gathered at the rim of my eyes.

I raised my head up and as they swung punches at me, I dodged them - gassing them out like the dogs they are. When I saw them pant because of loss of energy, it brought satisfaction to me and I delivered my final strike. Since the buildings in the alley were extremely close to one another, my legs could kick one and then the other. I jump-stepped on the wall and applied the same pressure on my other leg, and jump stepped also on the other wall. Before I dropped to the ground, I swung a punch in the air that dropped one to the ground and my right leg landed on the other.

I felt like a super heroine!

My heroine moment was short lived because as I turned, the leader of the three was standing with a very pissed off look and he had a…Deba bōchō kind of knife in his right hand.

"Where did that even come from? Oh, this is not going to be good!"

With what I guess was a war cry, he lurched at me but I ducked on time. He swiftly turned around to deliver another strike at me but someone pulled me from behind and was immediately before me.

"You need help fingerling?"

Ferran Jonathan was the one that had pulled me from a possible knife slash. He took care of the scar guy swiftly and ended up with a slight cut on his lip. At that time, I was a level two combatant and I was not very social among my fellow recruits and I kept to myself all the time.

"Thanks for helping me out there. But, how did you know?" I asked.

"Was jogging with my dad but he stopped to speak to Mr Jordan. I continued my run and heard the yelp of a dying fish" said Ferran. He sounded funny to me.

"I guess by dying fish, you mean 'me', right?"

"You said it all fingerling!"

As we walked out of the alley, my dad and brothers were also rounding a bend and they saw us and ran over to us.

"Where did you go to Martha?" asked my dad, a little out of breath.

"Where we said we were all going to go, but I had company!" I said and pointed towards the men in the alley that were on the floor.

"Did those men try to do anything to you?" asked Michael as he tried to scrutinize the visible parts of my body.

"I had help" I said and pointed towards Ferran.

"Thanks gentleman!" said my dad as he stretched out a hand to shake Ferran who shook him back.

"Your face looks super familiar though!" continued my dad as he continued to shake Ferran, not ready to part hand with his daughter's saviour.

"That is because I am Ferran Jonathan. Jonathan Yanagi's son." said Ferran.

"Wow! That's amazing! Thanks for saving my daughter when my little Jordans thought it best to look away!" said my dad and he turned back to face my brothers and erased the smile he shewed to Ferran to that of anger, at them.

Since then, whenever Ferran met my brothers or vice versa, he did address them as 'Little Jordans', annoying my brothers and teasing them to no end. Their anger would increase whenever they heard him call me 'Fingerling', a triple time and they were once separated because Michael had angrily thrown a punch at Ferran.
