Pei Dongshi nodded in satisfaction and then suddenly heard her gasp lightly.

"What happened?"

Nan Jiaojiao was stirring her cup with a spoon, trying to dissolve the cream, when she accidentally splashed some, which landed on her hand.

Just as she tried to hide her hand behind her, Pei Dongshi grabbed it and saw several red marks on her palm, and the base of her thumb was bleeding.

The man's eyes narrowed, "What's this about?"

"I used too much force with the whip, and it hurt me," she explained casually, shaking her hand.

"You got hurt and didn't say? You even dared to take a hot bath with your hand like this!"

He scolded her as he stood up and walked into the living room, coming back with a medical kit.

"Give me your hand."

Nan Jiaojiao obediently passed her hand, a bit too forcefully, lifting her wide sleeve in the process, exposing the bruise on her arm which Pei Dongshi noticed.
