"But really now, what was that thing and where did it go?"

Knowing that the monster was still lurking around, they both put up their guard and expected the latter to attack them.

Fortunately, a follow up attack didn't come even after two minutes.

"Do you think it left?" Asked Khione, unsure of what was happening.

Lux took a look around, but there was no sign of the monster, everything it left behind was the new series of footprints on the sand.

'Wait…'

"Khione." Lux sounded quite serious when he said this, a thing that surprised her.

"What?" She asked while checking the surroundings, in case the monster decided to sneak attack them.

"The footprints…when we first saw them, the monster was still there, just that we couldn't see it."

"And now there is a new set of his footprints, but it's like he didn't leave any after he disappeared, don't you think…?"
