Slowly leaving the giant blue gate's inner world, Lux seemed to have a different mood than when he entered at first.

Xia glanced at him with worry, "Lux? What did you ask that guy? What about that Titanus, The Blue Monkey?"

Unable to keep her curiosity in check, Xia asked. She was aware that some matters surrounding Lux were more complicated than she needed to know, but this didn't stop her.

"That's... That guy Titanus is dangerous. Because of him... No. Forget it." Shaking his head, Lux didn't say anything else.

He only waved his hand to form a circle made of light, before placing it around the blue gate.

This way, whoever tried to enter inside would be stopped because of an invisible field.

"Some things are better left unsaid for now, but don't worry, you'll find more in the future. To be honest, I didn't really want you or others to find out about that, but I guess it's inevitable."

Saying so, Lux went ahead and took the same path they came from.

He just used his senses and saw that Nia and the others were retreating from the cave. Most likely because they understood that the enemies they would face from now on were increasingly difficult to handle.

"Xia. You should go and try to obtain a higher score during this assessment. It would be good for you to get as many resources as possible."

Hearing Lux's serious tone, Xia knew that he wasn't joking around with her; he was dead serious.

"Do you know something else, Lux? I have a feeling that there are some things you didn't even tell my brother."

"What could possibly be so important that you need to be so secretive? Is it about the demons?"

A bit unsure about her guess, Xia didn't know what to say anymore.

She knew that Lux was full of secrets, but how many? And what secrets?

"Just do as I say for now. There's no need to overthink things. Also... I wanted to tell you something for a while. It's about your fighting style."

"You have a perfect technique for battle, but this is also your flaw. You're always thinking about what a warrior would do, not an Ability User."

"Not to mention that, you don't have foresight at all. Why did you wait so long until finishing those winged snakes back then?"

"If you simply overpowered them from the beginning of the fight, my help wouldn't have been needed; which brings us to your current, biggest weakness. Your Ability."

"Instead of focusing on it, you just polished your hand-to-hand combat. Was it wrong? Not necessarily, but you should quickly find a way to increase your control over your Ability."

Because of everything that Lux said at once, Xia had a hard time comprehending it all; she seemed to be lost in thought.

"That's it. If you can manage those two weaknesses of yours, you're going to become a powerful figure in the future."

Kindly smiling at her, Lux didn't stop as he went back the same way he came, leaving behind a stunned Xia.

"Thank you." Her low voice was successfully picked up by Lux's monstrous senses; he was pretty surprised that Xia didn't rebuke him this time.

When the two first met, they were like fire and water. Whatever one said, the other would argue back for childish reasons.

'I miss those days, maybe I should take a break from time to time...' Shaking his head to abandon the unnecessary things in his mind, Lux was curious to get out of the cave and scout around for a bit more.

A few hours later, our protagonist was casually eating some deer meat. But this wasn't a normal deer; it was one that achieved Proto Level.

If a normal human were to eat that meat, they were sure to get stronger just from tasting it a bit.

"Nia and the others should be out too by now. I wonder what place they are in right now."

'Though, it must be tough to gather a huge amount of points since their enemies were all so strong.'

'Not to mention that they are working as a team, a thing that will surely have negative records in their final results.'

Lux was just glad that his sister and the others were fine. He didn't really care about some stupid Academy's rewards, but he thought it was pretty important for his sister.

So he was willing to help them a bit.

Leaving his current spot, Lux found two Proto Level monsters a few tens of kilometers away from him.

Using his Light God Ability, he was able to transport the ferocious-looking monsters close to Nia and the others.

As a gift for them, he even wounded the creatures before releasing them toward Nia and the others.

Perhaps on guard, Maximus was the first one to see them approaching.

"Careful! There are two Proto Level monsters coming over. But from the looks of it, they are tired."

"Should we try our luck at them?" Nia's beautiful eyes sparkled, since she first tried the equipment and weapon Lux gifted her; she understood a single thing.

'I'm not afraid of a Proto Level anymore; they should be afraid of me.' Cloaking herself in the shadows, Nia disappeared from her spot.

"I guess we don't have a choice anymore, since Nia took the matter into her hands, we should do our best to support her."

Very quickly, the party of humans was facing off against two Proto Level monsters.

With Nia in the lead and Maximus acting as the shield, Silvanna and Emily had a better time wearing down the enemy.

Thus, a battle that would've probably ended in their defeat if even a single member was missing, ended with their crushing victory.

"Perfect!"

"Mhm, we did a pretty good job!"

Emily and Silvanna even high-fived, leaving Maximus stunned. 'Since when did those two get along so well?'

Even though he thought so, Maximus knew better than to speak about it to the two women; he didn't want to be savagely beaten to the ground by them.

"We should continue to hunt some more monsters. It's not guaranteed that we are going to take 1st place."

As Nia said this, the others quickly nodded at her. Picking up whatever they could from the two defeated Proto Grades, they quickly made their way inside the forest.

On a small hill that was a few kilometers away, stood Lux with his hands behind his back.

'Don't be happy so soon, this Portal is very dangerous. The things I found inside seem to be a giant puzzle waiting for me to discover it.'

Not wasting any more time, Lux disappeared from his spot. He was curious to see if there were more holes that had depictions of the war; or subjugation, as he named it.
