Chapter 139- New skill

It has been some weeks since Haru woke up. Since then, Jinah and he have been literally attached to each other. They stayed at the same place and spent their days going on dates and doing actually nothing important.

Haru and Jinah were enjoying their life in that manner which seemed to them; blissful.

Having Jin-Woo around and his immortal army along with the other veteran hunters, the earth was safe and fine. However, every once in a while, Haru and Jinah come across a dungeon—just like this one.

"Probably A-rank. Quite frequently these summon nowadays. " Haru raised his brows upon reading the mana wavelength and sizing the entrance of the dungeon.

However, if thought closely then there was no surprise—after all, Earth was diving into the phase of the final war. The earthlings were getting used to facing such high-ranked monsters and the number of awakened has risen by thirty percent since last year.

Haru has yet to reveal his recovery to the world, but the Korean and Japanese Hunter Association knows. And thankfully they have kept under the wraps.

Haru couldn't have prevented his father from fulfilling his duty for long and since there was no harm in letting Matsumoto Shigeo know about him, Haru didn't seem reluctant. But that doesn't mean Haru accepted their request to visit the Association so they can thank him formally.

It was a hassle.

The Korean Hunter Association hasn't made such a request and has sent a lot of gratitude and even some rare beautiful flowers to the Nanase residence when they heard the news.

Although Haru has been avoiding it until now, he has a feeling that sooner or later the public will know that he is awake.

Now, back to the present,

"Should we go in?" Seeing Jinah's enthusiasm, Haru sighed with a smile.

Recently, she has become a little battle frenzy—more so when she withstood an attack from Beru.

She has gained confidence a lot recently and whenever they come across some unauthorized Gate like this one, she requests Haru to accompany her to clear the dungeon.

And naturally, Haru never declines,

"Let's go."

******

The inside of the dungeon was, as usual, like a cave. Dampened surroundings and barely visible illumination.

Haru had already sensed the dungeon and found that was a land-type monster dungeon—stone golems to be precise.

They were ranked only up to A if taken the Boss aside.

"Here it comes!" Jinah exclaimed as she stepped forward and chanted a three-layered barrier to protect herself and Haru from the advancing Golem.

*DHUN*

Like a gong, the barrier made a shrill and loud sound across the dungeon as the stone-built creature landed its hind legs on the barrier—intending to crush the barrier along with its chanter.

Haru crossed his arms and witnessed her development. Three golems that weigh way above a thousand kilograms were continuously striking the barriers she has chanted but not a single one has even incurred a crack.

"Take...this!" Jinah shouted as she used her telekinesis to lift a boulder and land it on one of the monsters.

*BOOOOM*

*DHAK*

The golem momentarily paused as the boulder created a smokescreen after crashing against the inhumane's big head. However, because of low velocity, the boulder didn't do any damage to the golem

'She is a master of defense but lacks offense....' Haru deducted before raising his left hand and a small purple orb emerged on top of his palm.

He advanced towards Jinah and planted his hand on her back.

"Ah...." Jinah yelped but her control over the barriers didn't falter. Well, Haru would have prevented the monsters from attacking even if she had lost control.

Haru embraced her softly from behind and overlapped his left arm over hers.

"Can you feel the surge of energy and how it is blending with your mana?" Hearing his hot whisper she nodded with a tremble pacing down her spine.

"Now channel this energy and gain control over it." Haru's low voice was like a Divine Directive for her, which she couldn't refute but rather just only followed what he said.

She focused on the energy that seeped through her backbone and began to assimilate with her whole body. Just like mana, she could feel it everywhere and this sensation was not repulsive. Her mana was accepting this energy quite fluently.

"Good...keep going and let your consciousness be solely converged at it."

"But Haru, the barrier-"

"Shh~" Her protest was silenced as Haru put his finger on her lips and shushed her.

Jinah gulped upon witnessing the giant golems...but the hesitation didn't last long.

She entrusted everything to Haru and turned her focus solely on energy—losing her control over the barriers slowly.

Haru maintained the barriers and this time, there was not even a sound that was being produced when the golems struck it with their large paws.

It took some time, but Jinah was able to channel the strange energy and completely blend it with her regular mana pool. It felt like...she was burning but it didn't hurt. A sense of aggression was born inside her and when she opened her eyes her violet eyes flashed dangerously for a moment.

Haru didn't have to guide her anymore as Jinah raised her right hand and pointed it toward the golems.

With a swift, deliberate motion, she summoned her mana, channeling it into her palm. A vibrant, pulsating orb of deep purple energy materialized, swirling with an otherworldly intensity. She held it aloft, feeling the raw power thrumming through her veins.

This was no ordinary spell—this was the Void Sphere, a spell capable of distorting reality itself—Haru uttered inwardly.

"See ya~," she whispered, her voice carrying nothing but amusement.

With a fluid motion, Jinah launched the orb forward. It shot through the air like a comet, leaving a trail of shimmering violet light in its wake. As it traveled, the orb expanded, its gravitational pull intensifying with each passing moment. The first golem, found itself caught in the orb's inexorable pull. It struggled, massive limbs clawing at the ground in a futile attempt to resist. But the Void Sphere was relentless. The golem's form began to warp, pieces of it being torn away and sucked into the orb, disintegrating into nothingness.

The second golem, witnessing its comrade's fate, attempted to flee. Its movements were erratic, panic evident by its behavior. Yet the orb's reach was vast. It drew the fleeing golem into its grasp, the force of its pull dragging the creature across the battlefield. Within moments, the second golem too succumbed, its body breaking apart and vanishing into the void.

Jinah's eyes flicked to the third golem and the boss monster standing behind it—a monstrous entity of sinew and dark magic. The third golem, smaller but swifter, darted towards Jinah, desperation driving it forward. But the orb had grown in strength and size, its gravitational pull now a formidable force. The third golem was lifted off its feet, and suspended in mid-air for a brief, painful moment before it was consumed, its form shattered and absorbed.

The boss monster, a hulking figure cloaked in shadows, let out a guttural roar. It raised its massive claws, attempting to cast a defensive spell, but the Void Sphere's power was absolute.

The Boss had no chance of fighting back as the orb ceased its existence and the dungeon was conquered within four minutes.

Jinah lowered her hand, the residual energy of the spell dissipating into nothingness. She took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the now-empty battlefield. The the Void Sphere—Jinah's new spell.

*******

After exiting the dungeon, Haru led Jinah to a famous Italian restaurant to enjoy the occasion of her acquiring a new spell.

En route, Jinah suddenly remembered something and asked him immediately,

"Haru! Tomorrow is our graduation ceremony. You are coming with me, right?"
