Chapter 3: The way forward

For the past 10 years Sousuke had thought a lot about how he was going to act when he entered high school. He wondered which high school he should choose. For him going to a high school known as Seido or Inashiro was out of the question.

His goal was to become a legend in high school baseball and for that he had to start at the lowest that is to enter a common high school with a completely average team. So, with the help of his system and his innate baseball sense.

He will help his team become stronger so they can compete with teams from all over Japan. For that he needed allies to count on that's why when he returned to college he met or rather he chose two people who became his best friends and to whom he loves baseball. He needed someone he could rely on to catch his balls since he wanted to be a pitcher. He also needed someone who was as good at bat as he was on defense.

It was with this in mind that he became close during his first year of college with Subaru Fuji and Ryu Okita. He met them both in his freshman year of college. He knew right away that he could count on them to help him in his quest because they love baseball just as much as he does.

Subaru is 175 cm tall, was well muscled, he has blue eyes and blond hair he also has a well defined face and white skin. He will be the batter that Sousuke has chosen. Subaru has loved baseball since he was little, but it was when he saw Sousuke throwing one day that he absolutely wanted to play with him.

Ryu had a slightly slimmer body but has well defined muscles, he is 172 cm tall, he has brown hair and green eyes, he also wears glasses. When for the first time Ryu saw Sousuke's throws he immediately wanted to catch them. Sousuke directly made him his catcher.

Sousuke meanwhile had grown a lot he was already 185 cm tall and had a well-sculpted body thanks to the training program that Raphaël had put in place over the years. Over the years her hair has grown a lot and her braids have grown a lot reaching her shoulders. The girls all find him very attractive because of his particular facial features and the fact that he is also mixed race.

Ryu: Sosuke-kun, you trained us for the past three years now we are much stronger physically and mentally. So now what's the plan.

Sousuke: We are going to join the college baseball team and we are going to make sure we get as far as possible with this team without overdoing it either.

Subaru: When you say without overdoing it, that means that we will have to rely only on our own abilities, right?

Sousuke: That's correct normally with our abilities we will have no problem winning all the competitions in which we will participate. At the end of this year we will have to enroll in a high school.

Ryu: Speaking of high school, which high school are we going to? Have you already decided?

Sousuke: Yes I have already decided. We will not go to a high school known as Seido or Inashiro but to Hachiya Oji. It is a high school located in the west of Tokyo. Since we have to enter the legend it will be much more spectacular if we are in a high school that is not known. ( For those wondering what team this is, this is the last team Seido faced in season 3 of the anime. This team will also be known for their defense and one of the best outfield players Masonori Kawabata )

Subaru: I've never heard of it. But if you think it's the right choice that's fine.

Ryu: It's quite surprising. I didn't think you thought that way.

Ryu and Subaru were very surprised by Sousuke's revelations but very quickly they let themselves be carried away by his determination when seeing his look they concluded that it was the right thing to do.

And then for them if they are all three in the same team it is impossible that they can lose. They are confident in their abilities as receivers of outfielders and batsmen. Each could rely on the other and vice versa.

But what they both have more confidence in are the throws and the terrifying skill of Sousuke. Since they met him and started training with him neither of them had ever managed to hit a single throw from Sousuke, he had learned and mastered most of the throws that exist and the his fastball speed could go up to 160km/h.

For them as long as Sousuke is a pitcher on the team where they are, no one will be able to score.

Sousuke: Well we should go to class. We meet at the end of the course, then we will join the club.

After this discussion the three friends separated and went to their respective classes. For Sousuke the school days were boring because he is the brightest student. He has the best marks in all subjects and the teachers all love him because he is very intelligent.

At the end of the school day Sousuke who had headed for the baseball field, concluded one thing. The level was too low.

Taking this detail into account he made a change in his plan. He decided not to join the college baseball club and wait until he was in high school.

It would be a waste of time for him and his friends to play at this level, it would be counterproductive. Ryu and Saburu having joined him, so he explained his point of view to them as they have 100% confidence in Sousuke's thoughts they decided to do what he had decided.

After this event the last school year of the college ended. Sousuke and his friends all graduated and enrolled in Hachiya Oji High School. After a hectic vacation with his family, Sousuke looked forward to the start of high school and his new year as a high school baseball player.

The day before of the recruitment test

Sousuke: After 15 years of waiting, I will finally be able to play in a club and compete with other pitchers and teams from Japan.
