4.Nolan’s mission

"Since I now know I'm a specialist I gotta think of what type of Nen ability I want to create", Jade then pondered but then he remembered the water came to a stop as if time had stopped.

"That's the type of ability I want, but I don't want to limit it to only being able to freeze my opponent's" in his mind Jade wanted to control all aspects of time not limiting it to a small subsection of time, "this is where my science lessons come in handy" back in high school and even in college Jade took keen interest in science and space-time related subjects.

"To fully use time as a whole I have to use the fundamentals that makes up what time is" Jade then say down and calmed his mind down then proceeded to activate his aura and incorporated the concept of time into his aura as whole. 5 minutes in he realised within his aura it felt ethereal "my aura already had some concepts of time!" Jade exclaimed, "this'll make it a lot easier".

For the next 3 hours Jade incorporated all the concepts of time he knew and a ethereal feeling came to his right hand is if time slowed down for it, "I succeeded" Jade then proceeded to make a saber that was grey in colour and slashed at a nearby book, the book turned brown and rusty as it aged 2 years!.

"What! I didn't think it'd be that powerful and a can roughly guess how much time it went through!. For the next 2 hours Jade made other techniques such as a technique that froze anything for 3 seconds!.

"Right now I have 3 techniques with the time saber being the strongest", as for the last technique he created it allowed him to predict his opponents attack 1 second before it happened by having his time aura infused hatsu burst and create a domain infusing his will to know his opponent's next move.

But this move is quite drain to keep up as he has to consistently use hatsu, but Jade already has already thought of away to further develop it in the future so it can be used it like observation haki and develop it even further to the point of seeing into the future.

A few weeks passed and Nolan couldn't take it anymore as he took Jade over to the forest behind their garden. "I know you've learnt nen" Nolan said Jade was already expecting this so he didn't beat around the bush "finally dad you stopped looking at me all creepy" Jade said whilst laughing.

"This is no laughing matter son, how did you even learn about nen?" Nolan said with a questioning gaze Jade dry laughed then proceeded to tell him that 2 years ago he snuck into his office and found a book and within it it explained what nen is and it's use's, Nolan then sighed "I thought I put that away in a unreachable place and to think you was that interested in reading the first place" Nolan then sighed again.

"We'll I've already learnt it so there's nothing to be done dad" Jade said whilst grinning ear to ear Nolan looking at this was irritated but he sighed once again "son I gotta tell you, while nen is something almost everybody can utilise it is still not known to the outside world or imagine the amount of chaos it'd create" "yeah criminals with nen do sound intimidating" Jade replied back, "and to be allowed to use nen you need a hunters license and to get that you need to take the hunter exam".

"But you are too young I'll only let you take it when you reach 12" Nolan said with a fatherly tone, "but" "no buts son now show me what you have learnt" Nolan then immediately used Ren which pushed the unguarded Jade back a couple steps "dad that's cheating" "hmph son you always have to be on guard even if it's your so called friends, no come!" Jade then proceeded to use Ren and punched at Nolan but Nolan sidestepped and kicked at Jade's stomach, Jade hurriedly shrouded his stomach with Ten

But Nolan's kick had too much momentum and sent him flying rolling across the floor "gah even tho i shrouded myself in Ten that still hurt" Jade then got up and proceeded to take this a lot more seriously but he subconsciously decided to not show his full strength so he proceeded to cloak his hands with Ko as he dashed at Nolan but as Nolan was blocking jades punches Jade swept with his legs also covered in Ko which made Nolan lose his balance Jade took this opportunity to send an uppercut to Nolan's stomach "ugh your one vengeful son aren't you".

"Huh,How'd you block my attack?" Jade was dumbfounded but so was Nolan as a six year old shouldn't have this keen sense of battle awareness "your still a thousand years too young to outsmart me son hahahahah" Nolan said with his head facing the sky. "Hmph we'll see" Jade was unconvinced by his loss and vowed to beat his dad next time "your welcome to come find me again son hahahaha" Nolan proceeded to laugh as Jade walked back to the house whilst kicking a stone.

As Jade left Nolan stopped laugh and had a solemn face as that last attack truly did catch him by surprise as in that split second he lost his balance Jade took that opportunity to strike that type of battle sense is not something a kid wet behind the ears should have, Nolan pondered "hmm his battle awareness is extremely high and he has courage he really is my son hahahaha" Nolan was really happy as he knew his son is a genius.

"I'll train him when I can but for now I won't be able to since I have a mission I will be going on in a few days" Nolan looked at sky as he sighed "I don't know if I will be able to return from this one" in the best case this mission could take 4 years or in the worst case scenario he could die, "well I'll leave it up to fate".

Nolan then went back to the house and three days later it was time for him to go, "Lisa,Jade,honey I'll be back" Nolan said with a smile "when will you be back dad?" Jade questioned Nolan hesitated but as he made contact with his wife he sighed and said "it'll take at most 4 years" "4years!!" Jade and Lisa were both shocked "don't worry it's just that its a tedious job and it'll most likely be a vacation" Nolan said trying to comfort both his children after a few minutes of convincing he walked towards his car.

"Jade when I come back I hope for you to be able to even scratch me hahahaha" without waiting for Jade to reply he drove off "watch how I beat you next time!" Jade said whilst running after the car with no results, "since I can only get a hunters license when I'm 12 then I might aswell continue training".

Jade then went back into his house and formed a plan to further strengthen his current 3 techniques.
