"This is Lord Isarios, the ambassador of the Green Dragonflight," Krasus introduced Duke to a high elf male dressed as a druid, with golden hair and green-toned armor.
"Hello, I am Duke," Duke shook hands with the lord.
Dragons, in their true form, are immense. Their humanoid forms are merely a courtesy to others, otherwise, one would merely gaze upon a dragon's toe. Especially Lord Isarios, a top-ranking male dragon in the Green Dragonflight, who in dragon form would stand as tall as a three-story building.
"Hello, I'm Isarios. I apologize on behalf of Ysera. Due to a vast corruption in the Emerald Dream, she'll only send her consciousness to attend the ceremony. Once resolved, she'll personally thank you."
"I understand. Please convey my gratitude to Queen Ysera."
Next.
"This is Kalecgos, the ambassador of the Blue Dragonflight." Under Krasus's guidance, Duke immediately recognized the distinctive Kalecgos, a dragon with striking deep blue hair, appearing as a human male in warrior attire.
Duke recalled the legendary tales of Kalecgos, such as being shot down by dwarves, or being manipulated at the Sunwell. Despite his tumultuous past, the very idea of him becoming a Guardian Dragon seemed baffling to many.
Seeing Duke's intrigued expression, Kalecgos questioned, "Hello, Lord Marcus. Have we... met?"
"No, we haven't. I'm just unaccustomed to the blue hair," Duke wasn't entirely dishonest.
Duke mused: In anime, blue-haired female characters often seem ethereal. But in reality, seeing a man with such blue hair felt odd.
Regardless, Kalecgos was friendly, albeit with low prestige. He chuckled, "Apologies for the discomfort. Yet, I have a feeling we'll meet again."
Indeed, as a hero confronting a boss?
The third ambassador... where?
Following Krasus's gesture, Duke saw nothing. Krasus subtly motioned downwards, and Duke finally spotted her.
"This is Chromie, the ambassador of the Bronze Dragonflight."
With white hair styled in two buns and a gnome priestess form barely reaching Duke's waist, Chromie was endearing.
So adorable! Duke thought.
Chromie, known to be amiable among the Bronze Dragons, had no known instances of public confrontations. Although she stood alongside the likes of Krasus, Kalecgos, and Isarios, she was far from weak.
"Hey! Lord Marcus! Hey! Sir Duke... Hey! Duke!"
"Sorry, I got distracted," Duke admitted, overwhelmed by Chromie's cuteness.
"I feel like you were thinking of something inappropriate," the tiny gnome frowned, looking even more adorable.
Duke held back his urge to embrace her playful form, aware of the consequences if Chromie took offense.
"No, no. I was just thinking, if you ever need my assistance, please feel free to approach me."
"I'd appreciate if you weren't so active. Complaints about you altering history are piling up in my lair."
"Sorry, that's one thing I can't promise," Duke admitted.
After Krasus's introductions, they proceeded to the main event.
"Oh, the three Aspects have arrived. So, Duke, please—" Krasus gracefully gestured, and a vast rectangular flying carpet, woven from fire elementals, appeared before Duke.
This was quite a sight!
Fire elementals were typically wild and uncontrollable. Yet, under Krasus's mastery, they transformed into a tangible, harmless flying carpet.
Duke's system sprite quickly confirmed its safety.
Impressed, Duke stepped onto the carpet.
Noticing Duke's recognition of the carpet's intricacies, Kalecgos wondered how Duke, a mere Morningstar mage, possessed such discernment.
Good eyes! Good poise! Good courage!
Kalecgos's esteem for Duke grew.
Mounting the carpet, the group, led by Krasus, swiftly approached Wyrmrest Temple. Under Krasus's fiery prowess, the biting cold of Dragonblight was replaced by a gentle, autumn-like breeze.
