We returned to the mansion after dropping Souline and Giana off at the hotel. Montero was in the kitchen with the maids preparing dinner. I glanced around and noticed Kai's sweater draped over the edge of the couch. "Is Kai here?" AJ asked, picking it up. I decided to check his room. I pushed open the door to find his room dimly lit, but he wasn't there. Quietly, I closed the door behind me and headed toward the bar, hoping to find him there. Inside, Flynn was focused on his work. "Hey, have you seen Kai around?" I asked. Flynn shook his head.
